Tournament Practice (Victoria and Tess)
Victoria made the usual three passes in front of the door, thinking hard. She needed a training room. Figuring Tess would be along shortly, she walked in.
She smiled at the enthusiasm with which the room had answered her request. There was a wall lined with different kinds of dummies. Even a small rack of muggle weapons, though she didn't have much practice with them.
She took a seat at a small table near the door and set out her notebooks and spell books. She'd been practicing the wand movements and words separately all summer, since they weren't allowed to do magic at home. It was exciting being able to get some real practice in now.
And no one would be better help in this than Tess.

Re: Tournament Practice (Victoria and Tess)
Tess was running a bit behind. She had already changed into her work out gear and had asked the Headmistress for double the rapiers, the daggers, the swords and some gloves. As she reached the Room of Requirement, the door appeared and she pushed it open.
Tess smiled as she saw Victoria there and threw all the weapons they might need on the floor. Placing her hands on her hips, she smirked at her.
"Ready to spar?" She said.

Re: Tournament Practice (Victoria and Tess)
Victoria smiled at Tess's enthusiasm. It always brightened her mood. She'd signed up for this Tournament, not really knowing what she was getting herself into. They'd spent the summer getting ready, but she wanted more.
Walking over to the pile of weapons, she laughed. "Of course! I feel pretty good with the daggers. Maybe the rapiers today?"
She picked up one closer to her and walked to the center of the room and took a stance. "Maybe after this we can work on spells?"

Re: Tournament Practice (Victoria and Tess)
Tess looked down at the weapons and smiled nodding. During summer, they had worked out a lot. They had gained some muscle from their swimming and it was great how Victoria was taking quickly to these things.
"Well, the rapier is my specialty" she winked and kicked one of the rapiers up to catch it.
The Headmistress had given her some tips about how to use it and she figured it'd be beneficial for Victoria to learn.
"The rapier is good for attacks at the long range helping you get a better offense. Let's work with your feet and then when you get the hang of this we can practice spells"

Re: Tournament Practice (Victoria and Tess)
Victoria smiled. She knew how happy Tess was to share her new knowledge from her apprenticeship. Nodding to her, she signaled that she was ready to start.
At first she focused more on their feet. She tried to think back on the one other time they'd focused on rapier. It had been a few weeks. She didn't remember much, so she simply mimicked Tess's movements.
Deciding to take the first advancement she pressed forward with an outside twist of her wrist, waiting for the sound of metal on metal.

Re: Tournament Practice (Victoria and Tess)
Tess slipped her shoes off, she'd learn that she was better barefoot figuring that she was more graceful that way.
She moved her right foot behind her left and pushed forward bending both to strike towards Victoria. She was glad she was mimicking her, it would help her learn. She poked Victoria on the stomach softly, smirking as she showed her the ends had a protector, preventing any real damage.
"Push forward by your waist, remember to keep your feet graceful and at a strong stance okay?" she explained to her and nudged her rapier.
She jumped forward and smiled.
"Now, try to defend yourself okay? I won't go too easy on you."
