Lesson Two -Third Years

[Raven 'The Sweeney' Drake]

Raven was in a slightly bad mood, she had remained grumpy since she had made the deal with Crepens, she was going to drain her magic reserves so that she could give this one ghost some form of a chance with his crush? This was seemingly so pointless...

The links with the Ministry however, was something that she could not overlook and she smirked lightly when she thought about it, her home would be left alone for her to use as she wished, and house what she wished, which is what she had always wanted.

Without her knowing Raven's lips had twisted into a rather wicked smile that stayed on her lips as she wrote up the lesson plans on the board;

'Volubis Potions'

Almost dreading potions today, Annika took her time getting down the hall. She had a real sense of dread as she neared the classroom. Steve was there holding the door in greeting and it seemed to lift some of the heaviness in the air. "Hi, handsome, having a good day?" She whispered as she walked past.

Then the dread appeared to pile on again. Looking around and not seeing any other students she took a seat near the back of the room and quickly sat down. Looking up she noticed the 'smile' on the Sweeney's face. It wasn't the happy smile she had seen before, this one looked almost scary.

Raven looked at the one student in her class, she did not mind that there was only one student there, she was less likely to make a lot of noise and ask stupid questions while Raven was trying to brew her own potions.

Turning to her cauldron for a moment, she hummed and then placed a piece of parchment in front of Annika.

"This is the recipe for the Volubis potion, I suppose that you want to actually brew something this lesson, so research the background in your own time."

'Recipe;
1. Heat cauldron to 180
2. Add in two pints of bog water and one pint of ox's milk and two cups of lemon juice
3. Add a sprinkle of powdered blue dress butterfly wings
4. Stir clockwise for three minutes
5. Cool cauldron to 50
6. Add four newt eyes and two salamander tails
7. Add two cups of dragon bile
8. Let it settle for ten minutes
9. Light the top layer on fire and let it burn for five minutes
10. Put out the fire by stirring the mixture four times in an anticlockwise direction
11. Add one deku nut
12. Stand well back of the purple smoke, it is deadly
13. Tap the cauldron three times with your wand while stirring clockwise'

Running her hand through her hair Raven walked over to her own cauldron her heels clicking on the stone floor as she did so, and she smirked gently, removing the statis charm the green glow of the liquid made her face light up eerily.

Dimitrius skidded into the classroom quietly, panting to himself. He had overslept, and if there was one thing you didn't want to do, you didn't want to be late to a class with any Professor that would happily maim you if they were given the chance.

"Sorry I'm late, Professor," he murmured uneasily as the woman stood in front of her own cauldron. Dimitrius moved to his seat and set himself down quietly.

Raven looked up as the door opened, there was one of her students, and he was late, her eyes lit up with a twisted desire to maim him and she flicked her razor out, sending it flying into the front of the desk that he was sat at.

Glowering at him from across the room, Raven shook her head and let a large smirk grow on her lips;

"25 points from Verstand house for your lateness." she said simply "And you will brew this potion and bring it to your next lesson with me, where it will be tested to see how accurate it is, you don't bring it, it's detention for you."

Giggling a little she slammed the door open and walked out a vial of her own potion in her hand; "Class dismissed."
