Lesson Two - Fourth Years

Raven was in a slightly bad mood, she had remained grumpy since she had made the deal with Crepens, she was going to drain her magic reserves so that she could give this one ghost some form of a chance with his crush? This was seemingly so pointless...

The links with the Ministry however, was something that she could not overlook and she smirked lightly when she thought about it, her home would be left alone for her to use as she wished, and house what she wished, which is what she had always wanted.

Without her knowing Raven's lips had twisted into a rather wicked smile that stayed on her lips as she wrote up the lesson plans on the board;

'Ageing Potion'

Dmitra walked into the Potions classroom with a slightly apprehensive expression, her energy levels were at an all time low and that definitely wasn't good for Potion making. Add to that, Professor Drake was looking creepily malicious today.

Casting a glance on the familiar topic on the board, Dmitra walked to her seat and sat down.

Aquila's feet-problem thing wasn't getting any better, and it was beginning to become very bothersome. She almost walked into several people on her ways to lessons - and she did walk into a lot more. She walked into a few walls, even.

Aquila slowly made her way into the classroom and sit in the middle. She lifted her head and looked at Lehrer Drake. She sighed. Ageing potion.

Raven looked around the classroom and wondered if this was all the students she was going to have today, assuming that it was she slammed the door shut with a flick of her wand and sighed lightly, she was not in the mood to teach today.

Merely pressing her wand against the board, Raven wrote the new method for the potion on the board, hopefully they would just get on with it.

'Ingredients:

2 Snake Scales
2 Ravens Feathers
1 Cup of Armadillo Bile
Infusion of Wormwood
3 Lacewing Flies

1. Put a base potion on heat and wait until it is simmering before adding the infusion of wormwood.
2. Once the potion has turned a dark green you may add the two raven's feathers one at a time at one minute intervals between each other.
3. The armadillo bile can then be added, after this, stir the potion three times clockwise
4. Add the three lacewing flies after this, tap the cauldron with your wand and then wait until it turns a light green colour.
5. Finally add the two snake scales and the potion should then be a lime green colour, once it turns this shade, take it off the heat and place into your vials for testing.'

"This is the recipe for the ageing potion, we will then test this potion on this Niffler after you have completed them, get to work." she barked, before sitting down at her desk and staring at the ceiling.

Base potion......simmer.......heat......raven's feathers.......Dmitra was carrying out all these tasks monotonously, as if in a trance, except it would be an exhaustion and sleep-induced trance. After adding the armadillo bile, she didn't even pause to look at the instructions before adding a counter-clockwise stir after stirring clockwise three times. Instead of giving her lacewing flies whole, she macerated them quickly, dropped them in and tapped the cauldron with her wand.

The potion turned green quickly, a couple of powdered snake scales later, it looked a bright lime-green. She poured it carefully into her vial, and then waited for the testing.

Raven looked as Dmitra made the potion and she smirked a little bit, it was fun to see other people make potions, and it was even funner to test them to see if they actually worked or not, When it was apparent that she was finished, Raven took up the vial and looked at it in the dim light.

It looked to be correct, but now came the real test, placing the potion in a bowl in front of the niffler, it licked it, and it's fur turned a little bit greyer.

"Potion is correctly made. 10 houaepoints to Muhe house." she nodded curtly "I expect the potion from you, my Apprentice, next lesson. Or there will be consequences. Class dismissed."

Opening the door to her classroom with a flick of her wand Raven smirked and watched her pupils leave.
