Lesson Three - Second Years Empty Lesson Three - Second Years

Post by Viktor Nickel Mon Jul 09, 2012 10:41 pm

Viktor sat behind his desk with his fingers arched. He was doing something which was usually his brother's forte; brooding. Over the past few days his legendary anger was returning and he had to admit that it was going to be a wild ride for any of his students.

The Romain Clan.

Lesson Three - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Second Years

History was always one of his favorite subject, and Lars looked forward to the world history classes with Professor Nickel. He walked in and took a seat, getting out his parchment, quill, and ink pot so he would be ready to take notes. Interesting, they were studying the Romains today, should be a good lesson.

"Hello Professor Nickel." Lars said. This particular professor didn't like to talk too much about other things, so he didn't ask how his break had been.

Lesson Three - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Second Years

Post by Seffi Dresner Wed Jul 11, 2012 12:29 am

Seffi had not been having a very good time because she had decided to go home for Christmas instead of staying at Durmstrang, it was a big mistake as her parents didnt even get her one present while she was there, and they hardly celebrated Christmas at all.

It had made her more than a little bit annoyed and she had wondered if they even noticed she was there, of course Eliza had gotten her a present and she had gotten her one too which helped a little bit.

Sitting down at her seat she looked at the Professor and sighed gently waiting for the lesson to begin.

Viktor took notes of the way that his students held themselves. Lars looked well rested and ready to learn again. But Seffi looked as if she was emotionally drained for some reason. Deciding to push it out of his mind, he turned to the class,

"20 points to the student who can name me a member of this clan."

Seffi sighed, and supressed a yawn as she raised her hand in the air, anyone who was anyone knew at least one member of the Romain clan, after all she ran Hogwarts now. When she was called upon to answer the question she said;

"Well, there's Briony Romain, the Headmistress of Hogwarts, her husband Richard Romain and their new baby, Raven I think her name is." she said with a small smile.

Lars was about to answer the question, but Seffi beat him to it. He lowered his hand, and tried not to sulk about losing points. Muhe was Verstand's biggest competition for the House Cup.

Learning more about the Headmistress of Hogwarts and her family was definitely going to be interesting. Both Richard and Briony Romain were pretty dangerous, at least that's what he'd been told.

Viktor chuckled a little bit when Seffi just rattled off all three of the most notable names within the first five seconds of being asked. Of course what made it worthy of a chuckle was the fact that her correct answers had made Lars, her boyfriend, pout at her,

"Correct on all three counts Seffi. That's sixty points to Muhe." he smirked a little bit, "Keep this up and you'll win the house cup on your own."

He turned to Lars, still smirking,

"Alright, let's see if you can't claw some back eh Lars?" he teased, "Ten points to the first one who can tell me what town or city Richard Romain was born in."

Seffi giggled a little bit at Lars' expression but her mouth hung open when Viktor gave her sixty points just for the three answers, she was suddenly inspired to give him as many answers as she could possibly in the time of the lesson they had left.

Listening to the question, she thought hard for a moment or two, this one was hard, she hadn't read much about Briony and Richard Romain, but she had read the most about Briony, since she was the Headmistress.

Remembering the name, Seffi was still unsure, but she raised her hand and asked, nervously; "Was he born in Munich Professor?"

Viktor had to admit that it was rather amusing the way that Seffi was getting all of the house points in this lesson. But then again she had come prepared for this lesson. It wasn't his fault that Lars had not done as much research into the topic as she had done. He smirked a little bit and nodded,

"Once again you are correct. Ten points to Muhe." he told her before grinning, "How about a tricky one eh? Ah who am I kidding? It's an easy one so you'll actually get it. What was Briony's family name before she married Richard?"

Lars was just a half-beat behind Seffi on the previous answers, but he had studied and knew his stuff. He wasn't going to let her get all the points, the next question he was going to show he wasn't an idiot.

Briony's maiden name, he knew he'd read it. It took him a moment to think of it, but then the answer popped into his head. Raising his hand, he answered the question confidently. "I believe that would be Blake Professor."

Lesson Three - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Second Years

Post by Mirri Kinne Sun Jul 15, 2012 12:04 pm

Mirri knew she was terribly late for world history. That would really cause her problems with the professor and most likely Eleri. She wasn't sure who to fear the most. The Professor seemed to be hiding some kind of anger which scared her. But Eleri could send her home. The last thing Father said was that if she didn't follow rules, she was to come home for good. That was about the worst punishment she could think of.

Hearing the voices coming from class she realized just how late she was. Without looking up she scooted into the first seat she came too. Quickly pulling out her things she scribbled what notes she could. Looking up without raising her head she wrote what was on the board and tried to pretend she had been here all along.
