Lesson Four - Third Years Empty Lesson Four - Third Years

Post by Cobalt Smith Tue Jul 24, 2012 4:53 am

Cobalt sipped at his coffee at the Starbucks stand, which looked to be lifted straight out of New York City. To his right was a news stand from the same city and to his left was a busy London bus station and a packed road crossing. The entire classroom was filled with people interacting with these four pieces of scenery, hustling and bustling as if this was the city. To make it easy on his students, the area in front of the door was clear of all people and he was waiting there for them so that they wouldn't go into the crowds without his permission.

Frank walked into the Infiltration Classroom. Doing a double take, he was surprised by the replica of a city block he saw in front of him.

He didn't know who his professor was, seeing as he was a new student, so he just stood of to the side. It might be the goal to blend into the mob, but he'd just wait for a sign from his professor. Best not to presume to much after all.

"Professor Smith? You in here somewhere, sir?"

Cobalt wandered through the crown with practiced ease, not actually ever coming into contact with any of the people. He pulled a shrunken starbucks cookie from his pocket, enlarging it, and handing one to Frank,

"Morning Frank." he greeted them cheerfully, "As you can tell... the classroom is filled with people. Lots and lots of people. And they're all very busy-looking aren't they?"

He grinned,

"Well guess what?" he smirked, "At the starbucks I have opened a tab for of you. You may buy anything you like and it'll all be at my expense. However, you must get there without knocking anybody over. That includes you being knocked over. And considering the way they're walking..."

He trailed off as a man stumbled and was then justled to the ground where people just stepped on him or over him,

"Well they're not curtious I'll say that now." he smirked, "Any questions?"

Frank watched in awe as his profesor simply maneuvered through the crowd as if it was nothing. He wasn't expected to do that! Right?

As the professor gave him a cookie, Frank grinned. Cookie! Delicious! With a large grin, Frank thanked his professor.

"They do look pretty busy. Is it rush hour or something?" Frank spoke with a slight grin.

Seeing his professor smirk, Frank could feel his own grin fall. This wasn't going to be fun. Still, an open tab at the Starbucks did sound good...

"Right, so don't knock over people and don't get knocked over either. Get to the Starbucks and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. I can do that. I think."

Sighing, Frank looked at the crowd for a second. There was no recognizable pattern in their movement. Thinking up a strategy, Frank moved towards the bus stop, as people there were either standing still, or not interfering with those waiting for a bus.

Arriving at the bus stop, Frank spotted a rather muscular man who was moving from the road crossing and towards the Starbucks. Trailing the man as close as possible, Frank hoped the man would actually enter the Starbucks, because he'd still have to make his own path through the people between the shops and where he was walking.

As they arrived at the Starbucks, Frank's personal bulldozer kept moving. Sighing, Frank looked for an opening before spotting a woman with a buggy. Predictably, there was an opening right in front of the buggy.

Biding his time, Frank got knocked into a few times, but he managed to stay standing. Good thing his beloved boxing involved taking far heavier hits and staying on your two feet.

Spotting his opening, as the woman with buggy inadvertently cleared him a path, Frank crossed in front of her, before entering the Starbucks.

"I'll have a small coffee and do you guys have any donuts?" Frank spoke with a smug grin.
