Duelling Lesson One - Fourth Years

Briony smirked to herself as she sat at the desk in her classroom, she was getting more and more excited about the project that she had been researching, that project of course was something that most people would never dare to think about, let alone even attempt to start doing,

Bridging her fingers together, Briony looked at the entrance to the classroom and she waited for her students to appear, she was not very happy that many of them seemed to think that they could skive off of her lessons, and the next people to do that would recieve an official notice of detention.

They should be glad that it was just a detention as well, Briony could give so much more out, now that she no longer cared about the reaction of the Ministry to her actions.

Scrawled on the board was todays lesson topic;

'Deprimo'

Lucas entered the classroom and made his way to one of the seats. He sighed and looked up at the board. He hoped that what they'd be learning today would turn out useful in the future.

He scanned the room, noticing he was the first one there, besides the professor.

Briony sighed when she saw that there was only one person in her class, it was getting to be rather annoying now and she hoped that people would get their asses into touch and start showing up for the classes that she was running.

Otherwise what was the point in her being here in the first place? She would have been better off just staying in bed and having a nice cigarette than getting up for this.

"Hello Lucas, nice to see someone still bothers to show up for these lessons." she sighed with an annoyed tone to her voice "Today we are learning about the spell demprimo, do you know what this spell does?"

Lucas nodded and answered the question. "Erm, the spell deprimo places an immense downward pressure to the target, which can also get the target to fracture."

He wasn't sure about it, at least that was what he saw when he did a few background reading before the start of lessons.

Briony was pleased that Lucas seemed to show more than a aptitude for duelling, and she hoped that he might think of taking the apprentice position when he thought that he was safe and able to, she would love to teach him more about duelling after all.

"Well done Lucas, 10 points to Gryffindor, we will be learning how to use this spell next lesson so make sure that you are ready to do some practical work, not only this but we will be learning about another spell called obscuro."

With a deep breath Briony flicked her wand and opened the door to her classroom, giving the boy a slight smile;

"The spells are getting more dangerous, so you must be prepared to work harder."
