Soothsaying Lesson One - Second Years Empty Soothsaying Lesson One - Second Years

Darcie was slowly getting back into the swing of teaching again after her long break, she was more then motivated now because she knew that she was doing a good job of teaching, seeing as she had been able to get an apprentice interested in her subjects.

With a large smile on her face Darcie waited for her students to show up to her lessons and she wondered if there was going to be a high turn out for the first lesson of the year, after all people still might be on holiday and things like that.

In her normal curly writing, Darcie had writted up the lesson point for today's lesson on the blackboard;

'Omens'

"Omens," Mirri whispered to herself as she entered the class room. "I wonder what ones we'll be learning about. Oma knows so many, but she's from the old country and I don't know if they will be the same." Just the thought that she might have to learn something that is in strict contrast to what she knew growing up made her stomach begin to have butterflies, or baby bats in it. Sooth saying had been Oma's specialty, that and the myths she told about the planets. Mirri had listened to the stories of omens both good and bad like muggle children had heard fairy tales at bedtime. She was never sure just what to believe and was hoping that this class would help her figure that out.

She smiled at the beautiful young professor and took a seat near the front of the classroom. Very Happy

Darcie smiled widely when she saw that Mirri was in her lesson on time again, and she hoped that she was going to be able to teach her something new and different today, hopefully she would enjoy what she had planned for the lesson today.

Wondering why other people didn't seem to share the same passion that her students had for her arts, Darcie sighed gently and she fixed a smile on her lips before speaking;

"Well hello again Mirri!" she greeted "Today we are learning about omens, do you have any knowledge of any omens before we start talking about the ones I have planned to cover in today's class, maybe you'll already know about some of the ones we're going to talk about?"

"My Mother and Father didn't believe in omens, so I don't know a lot. But Eleri used to say that if you saw an owl out in the daylight it would mean death or illness to someone you loved. I hear somewhere too that if you pull water from a well and it's cloudy bad weather and terrible storms are coming your way. I really want to learn, cuz I sometimes feel like I know what's happening ahead of time and maybe this would help me know if my feelings were right or not and what to look for. Oh, wow, this is going to be fun."

Mirri was really excited about this lesson and class. Miss Vane was so awesome and fun that she really made learning in here easy,. Smiling she got ready for the lesson eagerly.
