Second Years - Lesson 2

Devereux sat behind his desk, almost asleep. It was early in the morning and he wasn't completely there. He had barely had any breakfast. He took a quick drink of pumpkin juice. Sometimes, a sharp drink did the job, but he couldn't really be drinking Firewhisky in his class. He shook his head violently in an attempt to wake up. It worked, surprisingly. He felt a little better but, before he could try anything else, his class entered. At least they didn't look as confused about his appearance than the first years. A few people sniggered at the bow tie and trouser braces but that was perfectly understandable. It wasn't their fault that he had a unique dress sense. "Hello. I'm Professor Keighly. I wasn't here last term due to some issues but now I'm here, let's get started." He went over to the blackboard and two words - Harry Potter.

"Harry Potter is now known as the hero of the Second Wizarding War. He defeated The Dark Lord named Voldemort. He was a Gryffindor and came here in 1991. There is a chapter on him near the back of your books. It's chapter 22. I want you to read it through and then write about him creatively. A poem maybe? Possibly a song? Leaflet? It's completely up to you." He was curious about what they were going to create. "The person with the most creative ideas wins 20 points for their House. 15 for second place and ten for third. You may begin and good luck!"

Melody quickly began writing not sure what to say about Harry Potter even though her mother had known him personally.
