Lesson One - Third Years
Richard frowned a little bit as he sat down behind his desk, trailing his fingers along the wood to feel it, to admire the tecture of it. There were a few marks on the wood that he didn't actually recognise. Perhaps the clearner had hit it when working during the summer? He didn't much care though. The marks would add character to it, making the whole desk more of a part of the room than a piece of frunature.
He chuckled lightly to himself as he moved round to sit in his chair, resting his arms on the desk itself.

"Hello professor,"Melody said before sitting down. From what she could tell he seemed very happy with his chair.

Re: Lesson One - Third Years
Richard looked out at his class and was slightly annoyed that it seemed to consist entirely of Melody Lovegood. It would have been nice to have more people but that was life,
"Well since this is the first lesson back and you're the only person here Melody I'm going to give you the chance to earn Ravenclaw a lot of points." he told her, "Ten points if you can tell me how many electrons the element... oxygen has."
