Potions Sixth Year Exam

[Raven 'The Sweeney' Drake]

Raven sat swinging her feet from the chair in her office which was where she was conducting this years exam for potions, as it was a one to one exam with herself and the student, and some pesky ministry examiner who would be told what grade to put for which student and to shove it up his... if he disagreed with the marks that she was going to be giving the students. Her eyes glinted in the light of the glimmering cauldron in front of her as she waited for the students to start arriving.

One by one they were called into the office and asked to brew a random potion from their sixth year of studies, some of them were very good, however, others were pitiful and barely remembered the correct three steps to take when creating their own potions.

Sighing a little bit, Raven looked at the list and called the next student in, when they arrived and sat themselves down in the chair, Raven grinned manically at them and asked;

"Are you ready to begin?"

Aquila winced as she realised it was time for her potions exam. Wonderful. After what had happened with The Sweeney she wasn't overly excited to be doing her potions exam with the woman who would probably fail her for the sake of it but she put on her big girl boots and dragged herself up out of her chair. She couldn't be bothered to even try and put life into her eyes, she would look like she was dying anyways. What did it matter anymore?

Aquila cringed as she heard her name and slid in through the doorway, walking over to where her lehrer was and trying hard not to let her anxiety show on her face. Luckily for her, her eyes were so dull that they showed nothing other than her swirling grey-blue depths.

Aquila sat in the chair and rested her hands on her lap in front of her, starting at her lehrer expectantly.

"Yes."

Dmitra tapped her feet on the cold stone floor outside Professor Drake's office, her mind whirling with numerous thoughts. Steps of potions, names, colours, odours......all were spinning in her mind uncontrollably, striving to come to surface. A girl had just gone in, Dmitra would be next.

Exhaling shakily, Dmitra tried to calm herself, quelling the pre-exam nerves. In an effort to distract herself, she began reciting the steps for a particularly complicated potion inside her head, all the while waiting for her turn.

Danita could feel her nerves bubbling as she walked down towards the exam hall. She was practically jumping around from foot to foot as she waited her turn to be tested on her potions exam, thoughts flying through her head. What if her tutors hadn't taught her enough? What if she had absolutely no clue at all what she was doing?

She took a deep breath and calmed herself down - she would do just fine. She crossed her arms and waited for her turn, the only thing keeping her from turning and running off with the thought of just failing the year was the fact that she would be in her last year next year and she didn't want to miss out on that.

Raven looked at Aquila as she entered the room and sat down at the desk in front of her, she really was looking awful these days wasn't she, she remarked to herself with glee, of course this glee manifested in a rather menacing twinkle in her eyes. Looking at the first potion on the examiners list she grinned to herself, an easy potion, but disasterous consequences if it was brewed incorrectly.

It would be interesting to see Aquila make the potion more concentrated and turn into an old woman for a time...it might put her back in her place.

"You will make the aging potion covered in your fourth year of studies, you may begin now."
