Lesson One - Fifth Years Empty Lesson One - Fifth Years

Post by Richard Romain Sun Jan 06, 2013 11:15 pm

Richard sighed a little bit as he sank back down into his chair. It had been the entire summer since he had last sat down in this chair and it felt like years since he had just sat down. What with all of his frantic work to try and develop a cure for the disease, he had never had time to relax. No that wasn't true. He didn't allow himself the time to relax. Every death that occured while he 'relaxed' would have been on his conscience, he knew, even if it wasn't he fault.

He rested in his chair for now, content in the knowledge that the cure was getting closer and closer. Now he could ease off a little bit and teach as there was little he could do to help make the cure now. It was all beyond him now. But teaching the next generation? Ah that was never beyond him.

Lesson One - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Fifth Years

Post by Senium Nex Wed Jan 09, 2013 12:41 am

Senium wandered into her lesson, she was happy to be back at school, but she was happy for another reason also, she had finally found something she would be good at apart from dancing, something that would help the people in the society around her. She was going to clean up the streets and had started to do so already, and nobody knew that it was her, that was the fun part!

Sighing happily she bounced towards her seat, flipping her hair behind her shoulders, she could now revel in herself, her new magnificent body that wasn't making her in pain whenever she tried to move even the littlest bit, she had even gotten the hang of using magic with her body again.

Smiling at the professor, she got ready to start the lesson.

Lesson One - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Fifth Years

Post by Marylin Mason Wed Jan 09, 2013 12:54 am

Marylin stalked her way into the classroom, she was getting more and more worried about the man that she had met in Knockturn Alley and she knew that she needed to speak to Nicholas about him, maybe she would find him after this lesson was done? They were hanging out more in public now, and he was slowly coming out of his shell which made her happier than she was before.

Not bothering to greet anybody else she sat down at her desk and she took out her quills, waiting for the lesson to begin. She wondered what spell she would be learning today this lesson was nowhere near the sort of things she was used to, but she was going to give it a go. It was her first year of exams after all, she had to do well.

Lesson One - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Fifth Years

Nicholas entered the classroom with a new set of bruises and cuts all over his face and his body. He had been pushing himself further than before in his out of lesson studies. His progress with battle magics was not without sacrifice however, some of the people he practiced against were less than happy to be pushed into fighting a fifteen year old.

Sitting down near Marylin he gave her a reassuring smile, which was somewhat defeated by the fact that his lip decided to split again at that particular moment. Muttering a little to himself the split lip healed itself and he grinned a little sheepishly at her before waiting for the lesson to start.

Lesson One - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Fifth Years

Richard nodded a little bit to himself as Senium, Nicholas and Marylin all filed into his classroom. It wasn't the biggest class he'd ever had but at least they were the best of the best. Smiling a little bit he wrote on the board,

"OWLs. You know it, I know it. You're doing your OWLs this year so prepare to have more sleepless nights." he told them simply, "Today it's my job to teach you how to turn your wooden desks into stone statues of your classmates."

He wrote down the wand movements on the board,

"Downward flick! Right flick! Anti-clockwise turn! Anti-clockwise turn! Thrust forwards! Hold until spell is completed!" he told them as he wrote it down, "When you lunge forwards with the thrusting motion stay extended or the spell will fail. There are words for the spell but they're just a crutch that you won't be using next year anyway."
