Airen heard Charlotte giggle. He smiled himself. It was nice to unwind every once in awhile. He was glad that Charlotte seemed to be over her near death encounter.

"The lessons are interesting. I like the topics. I just wish that they wouldn't segregate the houses. They try to promote unity within the houses and all, yet the school would function better, I think, if the house were encouraged to interact," he said. He didn't mean to sound so critical, it was just that that was his opinion.

"True, but it varies person by person. There are some who just need to train for about ten or twelve years to become a master of it. There are even those special cases that only train for five or eight years before they have learned all the secrets," he explained. He remembered some of the instructors saying that some one in his classes had the potential to be the next keeper of the order's secrets. He just didn't know who.

"It's natural. It's just the animagus form's response to that, and I don't really mind," he said smiling at Charlotte.

Charlotte nodded her head, she too had felt the same about the way that the Professors have seperated the houses out when it comes to the lessons, it made her very cross sometimes that she couldn't really make friends with anybody from the other houses.

"I totally agree, I miss sitting next to you in lessons Air, I think we would have worked well together if we had been allowed to continue."

Sadly Charlotte looked down at her hands, and threaded her fingers in with each other so that she could occupy them, she didn't want to start playing with her ears again in front of Airen, even if he did think that it was okay.

"I guess that's true with Metamorphagi also, because some people naturally can transform into anything like me, but others have to work at it and can only change their hair colour or length or something like that."

With a smile Charlotte decided the temptation was too much and she tugged lightly at one of her ears, calming herself right down.

"Isn't it a bit weird though? You know to see me scratching my own ears, normally Daddy does it but he's not here now obviously."

Airen smiled. He agreed that they would make a good team when it came to partners. He looked up as he heard a screech. In flew his owl Altaïr. Airen stuck out his arm. The barn owl landed softly on his arm. The owl didn't have any letters or scrolls on him.

"Hey, boy. just came for a visit?" he said. The owl cocked its head to the side as if to say 'of course'.

"To a cat, yes, it would. but I scratch my ears whenever they itch, and no one finds it odd," he said. "Besides, you being a metamorphous just gives you an advantage," he continued smiling.

Charlotte jumped a little at the noise that the owl made, at first not knowing that it was in fact an owl, and wondering just where the sound had come from, But when Airen's supposed pet came to land on his arm she relaxed a little bit.

Of course she remembered him from the train, and for a moment she wondered where Hannibal was.

"Awww that's sweet, Hannibal keeps ignoring me since I've gone to Hogwarts, he's got other friends I suppose."

Learning a little bit more about Airen Charlotte made sure to remember it, even if it was a little thing like the way he scratched his ears sometimes. Now smiling widely Charlotte put her feet up on the seats in front of her.

"Maybe nobody said it to your face." she chuckled "It's a beautiful place this, isn't it?"

Humphrey walked into the old roman ampitheatre, it appeared to still be in pretty good shape. He had gotten a copy of the play so he could memorize the lines of his favorite character Puck, otherwise known as Robin Goodfellow. He had memorized the last monologue in the play already. And went to the ampitheatre so he could practice it. He wanted to rehearse in the amphitheatre because if he stood in the center he woud be abe to hear the echo of his voice, and perfect his intonation and pronunciation of the lines better if he could hear his voice.

He walked to the center of the ampitheatre and began reciting the fantastic monologue. Humphrey Williams was completely unaware that high up in the ampitheatre two people were listening his monologue. when he finished reciting the final line of his favorite monologue in his favorite play, he heard clapping high up in the ampitheatre. Surely it was his imagination. But he still cocked his head up to make sure and to his astonishment, there were Charlotte Smith and Airen Auditoren. They were clapping enthusiastically. He coud feel the blood rush to his cheeks and knew he must have looked a complete and utter fool. Standing there reciting lines in an old roman ampitheatre that he assumed to be empty. But, Humphrey did not really care what Airen Auditoren thought of him, though he wished they could become friends. To the contrary of his indifference to Airen witnessing this moment, he cared immensely about what Charlotte Smith thought of him. She already thought him odd, he wondered what she was thinking now.

He worked up his courage and finally convinced himself to go and talk to them. Deciding it was best to get this over with quickly, he sprinted from the center of the ampitheatre up the many, many, many steps to where they were standing. He kept track of each step as he ran up them. He brought his foot down on each stone step with the precision he used when running stairs in his basketball gym when he was running with the team to condition themselves prior to the season. At that moment he truly regretted that he had neglected to stay in shape. By the time he reached Charlotte and Airen he had sowed from a sprint to a slow jog. "782." he said to them.

Airen looked as Humphrey, once more, just seemed to appear where ever he or Charlotte were. It was getting to be quite annoying. Not that he would ever say that. He decided to at least try to socialize with him. When Humphrey finally got up to where Airen and Charlotte were sitting, Airen smiled in an amused way.

"782?" he asked. "I thought it was less. Well, it felt less to me." Not being able to contain himself, he chuckled deeply. "I'm kidding. I'm not that fit," he said.

"What's up?" he asked Humphrey. Airen had gotten better at masking his emotions. While he was sure that Charlotte could see right through him, he knew for a fact that no one else could see his mild annoyance with his fellow Gryffindor. Something was strange about him. He seemed to cling to Charlotte like a lost puppy. He was getting annoyed that any time he and Charlotte would get closer as friends, there he'd be. Something was definitely up.

Humphrey was shocked when Airen said, "782? I thought it was less." Then he burst into laughter and explained he was kidding and not that fit. He couldn't help chuckling at the pathetic joke, Humphrey had been sure that Airen was intelligent. He wondered to himsself if he had been mistaken in that presumption. Again, Airen turned up where he was, as well as Charlotte. How ironic, again they meet. The two people who can't stand each other, and the girl they both like. Karma was truly irritating at times; it seemed to be mocking Humphrey's attempts to find solitude and trying to infuriate him. Humphrey was not fooled by Airen's act. He could see from the way Airen glanced at Charlotte that he cared for her. There was a hint of a longing for her in the glance. Humphrey, also knew that he should not say what he was about to in front of Charlotte Smith.

He said loudly, "Think about who you are trying to fool with that act of yours Airen. I can see right through the little front you are putting up, and I know that it is irritating you to no end. If you were wondering, no I am not following either of you. I have attempted to find peace and quiet to work on my monologue. The ampitheatre here was ideal because of the echo I can produced while standing at the center of it. I am trying to memorize the part of Puck, and improve upon the lines. Short of rehearsing with other students, this seemed like the best option. But here you show up again Airen. Just where I don't want you to be. It seems fate is trying to tell us something, or karma, call it whatever you want. I think that what fate is trying to do is either get us to cooperate with each other and become friends Airen. It could also be that fate is trying to turn us into rivals. I would like to be friends with you. I'll tell you what, let's call a truce about the subject I know you are trying to hide from me. Neither of us act on it for the moment. We try to become friends, and if in one month we can not reach some sort of agreement, then it is game on. You don't want me as an enemy in that war, Airen. I am a ruthless opponent that shows no mercy. What do you say? Truce, if you decide against the truce then the war begins now. And I will explain to Charlotte what it is I am talking about, and why it is making you nervous." he said with a harsh edge to his voice that he very rarely used.

"Oh, and here's your journal Airen. I hadn't had a chance to put it in our dorm yet." he said loudly enough for Charlotte to hear. Slowly, making sure Char saw it, he handed the journal to Airen. "And I still managed to refrain from reading it. It would have been disrespectful. I coud have used that journal to destroy your chances in the war I just referred to. Count yourself lucky that I am not a person who wins by unfair advantages. If you drop it again though, I will use it to the best of my ability. And I don't think you want that, Airen. I wouldn't, if I were you."

"Charlotte, I know this is confusing for you. Trust me on this, you do not want to know what I am talking about unless circumstances force it upon you." he told her.

Okay, now this was just wrong. Airen sighed, he got up and gently took the journal from Humphrey's hand. Taking a deep breath, Airen stared Humphrey down with cold eyes.

"Listen, please. I never made to push you away, nor did I say anything to hint that I didn't want to try to become friends. I want to be friends, really I do, but why do you insist that we fight over some one who is clearly not a prize, but a human being that has free-will? I'm her friend first and foremost. Yes, I have some feelings that seem to go beyond friendship. If she decides to take it farther then I'll try my best to make her happy. If not, I'll still be her friend. The choice is hers. Why do you insist on hurting those you want to be friends with, then say sorry, then hurt their friends? I tried to keep my feeling to myself, but why do you insist that I be the bad guy just because I was slightly bothered?" Airen asked bluntly. He kept his emotions in check not wanting to make a scene. Tears welled up inside of him.

"Thank you, but please stop trying to make others the villains when they're willing to hold their tongue and try to at least socialize. I never waged any war, and I never did any thing but be her friend," Airen pleaded. He hung his head down. He just admitted to having feelings for Charlotte. Now what?

"Look, I just admitted to having feelings for Charlotte. Four things may happen:
One- She'll return my feelings, and we'll try to make it work. I still try to be your friend.
Two-She doesn't like me that way, but we all remain friends. I try to move on.
Three- She likes you, and I'll try to be your friend as well. I try to move on.
or Four- She thinks I'm weird and doesn't want to talk to me any more.
Whichever one she choses, two things are certain. I can't change who I am, and I live by God. I'm sorry if I offended you. I'll just leave since you obviously don't want me here," he said to Humphrey. Hanging his head in shame, he walked down the steps to the stage. He sat down and put his head in his hands. The tears escaped.

"Airen, I am in the exact same position as you are. I was simply exploring the sixth floor of Hogwarts when I heard noises and investiagated. I somehow managed to enter the room of requirement, and when I found you three there I wanted to participate. Yet you got angry at me. Though I admit I did intrude upon your lesson in that moment. Then, when I came here to practice a monologue by myself. Both you and Charlotte turn up. I don't know why it happened, but I feel as if you have a smug attitude about you. I am attempting to be friends with Charlotte as well. If she has feelings for me too then that is just peachy, but I have not tried to start something either. You say I am trying to start a war here. I simply saw past your pathetic attempt to hide your feelings about Charlotte from me. I returned your journal to you without letting her read it. I could have given it to her, or not hidden it when I saw it drop to the floor. Instead I attempted to be nice, and not read it or let her see it until now. You claim that I am trying to hurt you and Charlotte. I am simply trying to sort out the truth of what is going on here. You were hiding your feelings from Charlotte, and I saw through your mask. Then when I call you on it you try to spin this around on me. I want to be your friend as well. Were not the first words I said here let's try to be friends and call a truce?" he asked Airen.

"Now as for me supposedly trying to hurt you, as well as Charlotte, that is simply a ridiculous statement. When I heard you say that I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I met Charlotte Smith in the Abandoned tower where she is alone, painting on the walls. I started talking to her, and bandaged her finger when it started bleeding. The only thing I attempted to do was make a new friend, and I did. Then, I stumble upon your swordmage class. We fight, yes, but I was simply excited by the idea of actually sparring with real swords and got carried away. In the process, I get a nasty bump on the head that still hurts. Charlotte then gets hurt by me. I try to comfort her because I feel bad about almost making her cry, and you storm out of the room because you were jealous. Char asked you to stay and you left without a word, not even the slightest hesitation in your step. You left her, and I attempted to make her stop crying once you left. You hurt her feelings, and I was the one left to try and make her feel better. If you honestly think that I am trying to make enemies then you are sorely mistaken. My only intention has ever been to make friends." he said. The words poured from him in an endless stream and once he finished talking he felt a hundred pounds lighter.

"Stop and think Airen. Were you being Charlotte's friend when you left her in the Room of Requirement when she begged you to stop? It is a rhetorical question. The answer is obvious. If you leave here right now then you will be doing the exact same thing. Do you really want that guilt? I wouldn't, but then I don't storm out of a room in a jealous fit when I realize somebody fancies the same girl that I fancy as well. And by the way, I do not view Charlotte as a prize, but I wanted to conceal the fact that you had feelings for you. The only way I could do that, and also let you know what I knew about you was by making a vague reference to what I believe to be inside your journal. I agree that Charlotte needs to make a decision. I will not try to influence her in any way, shape, or form. If you decide to leave now I will leave. If you stay, I will. If we leave, I will be ignoring Charlotte until she has made a decision. If we stay, I will tell her precisely what I think about you." he said.

"Now, as for me not holding my tongue and attempted to socialize. I did my best to hold my tongue, but you irritated me so much my anger slipped out and I hurt Charlotte's feelings. However, unlike you who decides to leave whenever there is a problem; I decided to stay and try to repair the damage I caused. I took responsibility for my actions. The way I see it, by leaving here, you are just running away from your problems. Postponing them until you can work up enough courage to get off your high horse and deal with the issues that happen to everybody. Stop running Airen, you are a Gryffindor after all. I know it is a low blow, but I have been wondering why you were placed in Gryffindor when all I ever see you do is run. Odd behavior for someone with courage somewhere in them."

"Charlotte, from the moment I walked into the abandoned tower I felt a connection to you. I never meant to cause you any emotional pain, which sadly I did. Airen and I are two people who care about you, but sadly we don't see eye to eye. Will you please put us out of our misery by making a decision about this? You know how Airen feels, and I too fancy you. I think we could be great together. You told me that when I said you were special I was the only person who had every told you that. If you choose me, or choose to remain friends with both of us, or choose to date Airen, I will still be here for you. And I will still be doing my best to make you feel important and special. If you decide to not be friends with both of us. Know that I will respect your wishes til my dying day. Yours, forever and always, Humphrey." he said affectionately. While he was telling Charlotte the truth about his feeling, it felt as if a large thorn was being pulled out of his skin. It hurt on the way out, but there was relief after it was removed.He had decided he should ask Charlotte honestly what her decision was. And to make the proper decision she needed to know how he felt about her.

Now he had spoken the truth, a dense fog seemed to lift from Humphrey's sight. It had been blocking his ability to think logically, but now it was gone. He saw what he should say. "Charlotte, I just realized what I should do. It is not to one up Airen or to be chivalrous, it is the most logically sound choice. Airen was friends with you first, so Airen should be the one you remain friends with. It hurts more than you can imagine to say it, but it is cold, hard, and painful truth of the matter. I will stay your friend if you wish it. But, honestly, I feel wretched about the damage my tongue and temper have caued. I am a despicable person, and I see why the sorting hat almost placed me in Slytherin. I unconsciously let my ambition cloud my judgement, and end up hurting the people I care about. Don't think badly of me if you can help it. But if I were you I would choose to slap me in the face. No, correction, punch me in the face. Slapping is for the faint of heart, and that isn't you." he said. It hurt worse than pulling out a rotten tooth. Yet he knew that it was the right thing to do. If he didn't say what he just did he would have regretted it.

(OOC: It is not god-modding. I inferred from the knowledge I knew about you, and the knowledge I knew about Char. Also if you pay attention, you can see Humphrey observing the longing glance you send to Charlotte. That is when Humphrey knew his suspicion that you liked her was indeed, fact.)

(OOC: Oh my what a thing to come to at half seven in the morning xD)

Charlotte just sat there and opened her mouth in disbelief, what? What in the world was going on here! The last thing she knew was that Humphrey was reciting his monologue and then he came up to talk to them, which is all well and good.

Next thing she knew things were blowing up around her and it appeared that she was being fought over...why she would never know.

When Airen said that he liked her, like that, Charlotte bit her lip and felt her vat ears pop up out of her head as she sat there taking everything in, she heard too that Humphrey also liked her and almost keeled over, why did these boys like her so much? Charlotte thought.

"Airen you're not weird but I really don't know what to make of all this! Please don't go I don't know what to say! I..."

Charlotte put her head in her hands and tried to control her shaking, she was so very shocked and she didn't know what to do, both of the boys liked her? And she needed to choose which one right now?

"Humphrey don't you ignore me too! You can't ignore me until I've made a decision on this, it's really unexpected and I really do not understand it at all, how can one person like me let alone two?!"

Biting her lip Charlotte blinked back tears of frustration, after almost dying in the maze, Charlotte really didn't need to pick between friends, she needed them all, and she needed them all to be friends with each other.

"Please stop it! Don't fight please...I don't like it when people fight, please let's just sort this out together."

Charlotte sniffled and straightened up, it was obviously up to her to sort these boys out.

"Humphrey. You're a lovely person, you sometimes let your tongue get away with you but I don't want to punch or slap you for that, or anything. This damage is nothing that can't be fixed with a little hard work."

Smiling sadly she gently clasped Humphrey's hand and led him down the steps to where Airen sat on the stage, Charlottes heart pulled at the pain that she was causing both of these boys that she liked so much.

"Airen. I do wish you would stay, I want you to, please don't go. We need to sort this out and I need to say this for both of you to hear."

"I'm sorry, both of you, I like you both very much but I've never even thought that anyone would like me like this, it's all a bit of a shock and I think I'm going to need to think about it, Humohrey I don't really know you that much yet, maybe we can fix that? So please don't be mad at me but please let me get my head straight...."

Humphrey listened to Charlotte explain her thoughts on the matter. It was logical, reasonable, and would end well if they all worked at it. The problem was trying to coopearate with Airen. He had always made an effort to be friends with Airen, and had liked upon first meething him. They were just too different from each other. Or maybe too similar. He could not tell what Airen was thinking about as Charlotte again asked him to stay. He hoped that Airen would, he really did. "Airen, listen to Charlotte. She is better at this relationship stuff than both of us put together. She speaks sensibly, and I am willing to put as much effort as it takes to work out this confusing mess. I too, ask you to stay. If not for yourself, then for her. You know it is the right thing to do." he said it all. Hoping to appeal to the kinder side of Airen. He knew Airen really cared about Charlotte, and he tried to use that to convince him to stay.

"Charlotte, all I have to say is this. If you tell me to do anything, excepting dark magic, I will do it. You ask me to not ignore you, fine. You ask me to put more effort into being friends with Airen, that too is perfectly reasonable and I will do my best to get along with him. Whatever you ask of me, I will do gladly. I care about you, and I know I deserve to be slapped but you are too nice to see that. I will give you all the time you need to make your decision and process all of...whatever this is." he said, pointing to himself, Airen, and Charlotte.

"As for not knowing me very well, ask me any question and I will answer you honestly. Even if it will cause you emotional pain or confusion. I, Humphrey Williams, am at your disposable to deal with as you see fit. And, as Wesley from Princess Bride once said in response to Princess Buttercup's every request made by the Princess Buttercup, "As you wish" is all I will answer. Please don't think too poorly of me for referencing a muggle movie, it is a fantastic film and a great novel as any other I have read. I reference the quote in all seriousness, not as a joke." he explained to Charlotte.

Charlotte placed her head in her hands, her eyes turned a shade of grey and she tried to make herself a little cheerier so that the boys wouldn't feel too bad about what had just happened, it looked like she needed to talk this through with Cobie, see what he thinks.

A loud caw could be heard, before she knew it Hannibal was flying towards her and perched firmly on her shoulder, extending his neck to each of the boys before cawing lowly.

"Humphrey this is Hannibal my vulture," Charlotte said quickly, stroking his feathers to soothe both herself and the bird.

"Right, okay, now let's sort this out in my head, everything is going to be okay? We can work through this? No you guys really don't have to be friends if you dislike each other that much but please don't fight with each other, I can't stand it when people fight."

With all this confusion Charlotte nodded at what Humohrey said, but she really did want Airen to speak so that he might be able to agree or disagree she didn't want to lose anybody here, she only wanted to sort this out.

"I've never seen that film, maybe I'll have to check it out sometime, but I don't have a tv so that's going to be hard." she chuckled weakly, Hannibal nuzzling against her neck to calm her down. Charlotte herself reached up and scratched behind her cat ears.

"Hello Hannibal, my name's Humphrey. Wow, that is a tongue twister if ever there was one. Very well, Charlotte. I agree not to fight with Airen. I am relieved to hear I don't have to be friends with Airen. I tried, and failed miserably. If he decides to develop a conscience or some common sense I might be able to though." he told Charlotte. "Honestly, I don't even have a vague idea how that boy's brain works."

"What!? Did you not hear me say it was a novel Charlotte?" he asked her with a tone of utter disbelief. "I will talk to Librarian Sollmann about requesting a copy from a Muggle book store. He will have to order it because I highly doubt they will have a copy in the Library. If I must, I will read it out loud to you. But, hopefully I won't have to do that. My Princess Buttercup is voice is truly offensive to the ears." he said, trying to break up the tension that had piled up like a brick wall between Airen, and Humphrey and Charlotte.

There appeared to be a wall that he simply would not climb over, standing tall between him and Humphrey. That wall was expanding, growing ever so slowly to encompass Charlotte if he refused to climb the wall or walk through the iron gate in the center of the wall. Well, he couldn't force Airen to put forth an effort to be friends. He patted Charlotte on the shoulder, startling Hannibal the vulture. It was what he would have done had she been one of his male buddies on the basketball team he was giving a pep talk to. "Listen, I will do whatever it takes to remain friends with you Charlotte. I have never cared about anybody as much as I care about you. Except maybe my parents, but they are long gone. Even if Airen won't try and work it out I will still be here. No matter what happens, okay."

"Airen, why in the world won't you attempt to be friends with me now? And why don't you make an effort to do this for Charlotte's sake? Do you not see that she cares about you? And that the two of us fighting is ripping her heart to pieces. Or are you still have your nose too high up in the air to see it?" Humphrey knew he shouldn't have said that last part, but it just slipped out. "Sorry, sorry. Old habits die hard. Please help us work this out Airen." he pleaded with him. Which was honestly the last thing he wanted to do at that moment.

Charlotte felt her heart thud painfully and she decided that she didn't really like it very much when Humphrey was mean to Airen, or vice versa, she knew that this was probably going to happen a lot today and she sucked at her lip piercing stroking behind her car ears even more to soothe herself but she couldn't do it as well as someone else could.

"I don't think that insulting each other is going to help things that much, maybe I should go home..."

Sighing softly she hugged her knees to her chest as she sat down and Hannibal flapped, cawing loudly at Humphrey until Charlotte flicked him sharply on his beak to get him to be quiet, that was not what they needed.

"I don't want to run away, but I don't want to stay and listen to you fighting, so, can we talk about something else...please..."

Charlotte heard Hannibal coo affectionately at her, which made her happy above all else, what she really needed now was her father, this weekend had truly been one that had messed with her mind and some things she couldn't tell anyone were weighing on her mind.

"Airen are you okay with all of this? I hope that you are...uhm...what's that book about then Humphrey?" she asked quietly.

"I know, I know, it slipped out. I apologized to him after, didn't I?" he said when Charlotte chided him for his insult. He knew she would, that was one of the great things about Charlotte that he admired so much. She was not afraid to speak her mind.

"Princess Bride." he replied in answer to her question. "It is an adventure romance novel set in the lands of Gilder and Florence. Princess Buttercup is captured by the evil Prince Humperdinck after the love of her life Wesley sets out on the high seas to acquire enough money to buy a cottage. Prince Humperdinck frames the Princess' abduction on the Gilderians and hires, a sicillian, giant, and a spaniard to abduct the princess and take her on a voyage from florence to gilder. And once in Gilder on a journey across it with Prince Humperdinck hot in pursuit. Wesley returns as the Dread Pirate Roberts and rescues her after defeating the three men hired by Humperdinck. However, she does not find out it is Wesley until after she pushes him off the top of a very, very high hill into a ravine and he yells, "As you wish!" in response to her wishing him to be dead. Princess Buttercup then tosses herself off the hill after him. And Wesley leads her through the fire swamp. But once they reach the other side Prince Humperdinck and his soldiers are waiting for them. They take the Princess off her hands when they threaten to harm him. She asks his life to be spared in return for her immediate return to the castle with Humperdinck to be married soon after she arrived back. Wesley is tortured, and is nearly dead. But the spaniard and giant come to the rescue and hire the Miracle Man Max to look at his body that they find in a secret torture chamber called the Pit of Despair. He agrees to work for them since it is to embarrass Humperdinck if Wesley and them rescue the Princess Buttercup. Humperdinck had fired Miracle Max years before and the man still held a strong grudge against him. Wesley is brought back from being mostly dead to alive with a pill the size of a very large buckeye coated in chocolate. Wesley, begins to revive fifteen minutes after the pill is swallowed and they are at the castle. 60 guards between Wesley, the spaniard Inigo Montoya, the giant Fezzick, and the Princess Buttercup. They turn a wheelbarrow, a holocaust cloak, Fezzick's immense size and matches into a flaming giant jew who approaches the gate. Everybody runs except the lieutenant of humperdinck. The man he entrusted the guarding of the castle to. He gives them the key after Fezzick threatens to rip his arms off and they proceed to rescue the Princess. They are successful in their endeavor." Humphrey explained to Charlotte.

Airen listened to Charlotte's reasoning and found that he agreed with her. He had heard the exchange. He wasn't happy about it, but he'd hold his tongue.

"I'm sorry you have to make that choice, Charlotte. I know you want to be both our friends," he said. He never said anything more. His mind was in a ruins of a fortress in Italy.

"As I said before, I'm willing to be friends," Airen said. He extended his hand out to Humphrey. "No tricks, I promise," Airen said.

"I also read that book, I also saw the muggle film based on it," Airen said smiling.

When Airen extended his hand and said he was willing too be friends, no tricks, Humphrey knew it was now or never."All right Airen, finally, friends, hopefully you don't faint from shock Charlotte. What did you think of the Princess Bride, Airen?" he asked after he agreed to be friends and gave Airen a firm hand shake.

Charlotte smiled happily and hugged both boys in turn, a large smile on her face now that they had tried to make up with each other, everything was going to be okay she just knew it, and then she realised that she was a very lucky lady indeed...

"Thank you so so much both of you, I promise I'll do all I can to make this work with each other, I'm so happy that we have all made up with each other."

With another happy giggle Charlotte heard Hannibal caw one last time before nuzzling her and flying off now that he knew that she was alright.

"It sounds like an exciting tale to be sure, Uhm, do any of you like cookies, I think I have a few, I made them though so they aren't very good."

Charlotte rummaged in her bag and held the two biggest cookies out to each of the boys leaving her the smallest and most deformed one, not that she minded. What with all this excitement Charlotte had felt her heart shoot with adrenaline but now as it fell she rubbed her chest a little hissing lightly in pain.

"Cookies! Made by You?! We are two lucky first years, Airen. To have a friend like Charlotte here who is extremely nice, pretty, and enjoys making sweets like cookies." he said. Grabbing the cookie offered to him. He bit into it, classic chocolate chip. Charlotte had claimed it was not very good, but he was being modest. It was the second most delicious cookie he had ever tasted, the first being his deceased mother's chocolate chip cookies.

"These are supposed to be not very good?" he asked her. "These are the second best cookies I've ever tasted. Second only to my dead mum's chocolate chip cookies." Humphrey said. This was one of the very rare times he had told somebody about his deceased mother. It was very difficult for him to talk about either of his dead parents. They had died three years ago in a car accident while he was at basketball practice. He currently lived with his Uncle Billy and Aunt Julia in Edinburgh, Schotland.

"Thanks for sharing, Charlotte. If you ever get the inclination to make more, or any other type of dessert or food, I happily volunteer to test taste it." he told her.

Charlotte smiled softly and nibbled at her cookie that she had left for herself, it was a little burnt but she didn't mind as long as the boys enjoyed their cookies, nibbling her own Charlotte smiled slightly, these were definately better than her last batch for sure.

"I'm glad you like them, my papa owns a bakery in Ireland and one of his Hellers taught me how to make cookies and things."

Continuing to nibble at her cookie Charlotte soon finished it and sighed contentedly, that was just how she liked it, but at the statement Humphrey said, Charlotte sucked on her lip piercing unsure of what to say.

"That's a compliment indeed, I hope that they continue to be this good whenever I bake them."

With a smile Charlotte looked between the two boys and smiled happily:

"You guys should come to my house sometime! It's attatched to my Papa's bakery so you get all kinds of free food!"

"Count me in." Humphrey said without a moment's hesitation. "Put the words bakery, free food, and your house in the same sentence and it is a no-brainer Charlotte." he told her. "How could a growing boy refuse an offer like that, pray tell?" he asked.

Charlotte giggled slightly and licked slightly melted chocolate from her hand, she wondered just what she was going to say to her daddy when she needed to tell him that she had invited two boys to her house...

He probably would be happy.

What would he do if she then told him that both of them liked her?

He might not be so happy.

"Well then you'll have to owl me when you want to come over, it's in Ireland though so you might need to use the floo network, you both have access to that don't you?"

"Thankfully, yeah, though I don't use it much," Airen replied. He suddenly remembered that no one knew that he lived by himself. He figured that it just never came up. When they asked, then he'd tell them. Saying it now would seem like he would be bragging

"A Floo Network is a form of transportation. They're in fireplaces. You need to get floo powder to use it. What you do is take a handful, throw it in the fire, and say where you want to go. Be sure to say it clearly or you may find yourself somewhere you don't want to be," Airen responded to Humphrey's question. Airen also didn't know about a Floo Network not too long ago, so he knew not to laugh.

"These are very delicious, Charlotte," Airen said taking a bite out of his cookie. It was soft and chewy, just as he liked them.

Charlotte smiled happily, she was glad that there seemed to be a lull in the arguments between the two boys and that she could finally get her head around things, it was something that comforted her and could make her mind more at ease on top of all her other problems.

"I'm glad you like it Airen, I made them for you actually but I didn't know when I would see you again, so I had to keep making new ones, but you've had it now!"

Leaving out the rather embarrassing part where the first batch she had made were little hearts Charlotte grinned.
