Lesson Three
Raven was looking forward to this class, why? Because her favourite student was in it. And when her favourite student was in a class it was actually worth dragging herself away from her cauldron to talk to the little children who littered up her classroom.
Sighing softly Raven placed the arm which she had cut off her latest kill on the front of her desk and took a razor out of her bag, she needed some ingredients for the potion she was doing, and this was one of them.
But when she realised that children would be coming in she moved the arm underneath the desk so that she could skin it out of sight.

Re: Lesson Three
Lukas was on time and the first to enter the class today.
"I suppose nobody likes the class as much as I do?" he whispered, barely audible to anybody except him.
Quietly he came in and swiftly he set in. With his books, ink and parchment at the ready he waited for the rest of the students to come in. Who was going to be today's guinea pig he thought.

Re: Lesson Three
Aquila arrived at her class perfectly early, completely ready with her book bag slung over her shoulder and a bored expression on her face as she strode inside, the perfect picture of confidence and ease. She spied one other student in the class, a boy.
She took a seat in the back corner, awaiting the beginning of the lesson without much excitement. She did enjoy to learn about Potions, but that did not mean she was overly excited. A lesson was a lesson- studying and boredom. Hopefully, this one was different.

Re: Lesson Three
Raven smiled and with a gesture of her wand the door of the classoom shut after the second student, a girl she had never seen before walked in, she was from her favourite students house but she was not her favourite student...this irked Raven and made her growl slightly.
Getting up from her desk, a half skinned arm in her hand she wandered to sit in front of the two students, on the beaten desks that she was given by the Highmaster.
With a twisted sort of smile on her face Raven appraised the two students.
"Hello class."
Looking at the board Raven flicked her wand and in the blood that she had dipped her writing brush in the words:
'Invigorating Draught' were written on the board.
"Today we will be making this, it is a potion, as you might understand from the name that gives the drinker more energy, however, this potion IS NOT the same as Pepper-Up potion and is brewed in a different way. Can someone tell me an ingredent that is in this potion?"
Raven threw the arm onto the desk near the new girl student and smiled wolfishly, going to ger desk to get her jar of housepoints.
"There's some nice housepoints in it for you."
(OOC: This potion has no actual named ingredents so it's all up to you )

Re: Lesson Three
Tarragon was just outside the door when it slammed in his face, he'd made the same mistake as Lukas had the first week. He paused briefly before knocking on the door and taking a step back, a little more reaction time in case The Sweeney was about to launch something at him.
He waited patiently...

He raised his hand. "Sweeney, if I may, hellebore and belladonna must be the some of the ingredients in that potion I think."
Lukas had been studying a bit more these days. Focusing more of academics and less on the troubles he had been getting in. Hopefully he would make his house proud. And more than that, make his chest filled with pride.

Re: Lesson Three
Aquila wasn't sure what she thought of this teacher, but her eyes zoned in on the half-skinned arm in her hand as she stood up to speak to them both. She returned her eyes back to the teacher's face and kept her stony expression on her face of indifference and not caring.
She didn't answer the question, thought she knew several of the ingredients in the potion. She did not feel like talking to this teacher, especially the way she'd looked at her when she'd entered the classroom.
When the arm was thrown onto her desk, Aquila regarded it with indifference, and raised her eyes back to the teacher, one eyebrow cocked questioningly.

Re: Lesson Three
Hearing the knock on the door Raven rolled her eyes and with a flick of her wand the door was opened, revealing the Muhe student who was normally never late to any of her lessons, smirking she moved up behind him, pushed him into the classroom and slammed the door behind him.
Raven then pointed to his seat with a dark look on her face. Lukas, of course answered the question, and answered it correctly.
"That is correct, here, have some house points."
And Raven threw seven housepoints onto the boys desk, of course, he would remember that they were dried up blood vessels from last lesson.
"Now, now, I think we had better begin don't you? Get the following ingredients from the cupboards at the side: hellebore, belladonna, flobberworms - three, runespoor eggs -two, and a base potion.
Once you have them, chop the runespoor eggs and place them into a heatd base potion, wait until it turns blue, then after this you must add the Flobberworms one at a time, then one stir clockwise after you have added each one, then add the belladonna and the hellebore at the same time, heat for five minutes, then dish into your vials for testing."

Re: Lesson Three
Aquila wasn't one to be frightened of teacher's- no matter how intimidating and she was not about to start now. Swiping the half-skinned arm to the other side of her desk, she rose from her chair and collected the ingredients as instructed, bringing them back to her desk as quickly as possible.
She placed each runespoor egg on her chopping board, and chopped them up into even pieces. She placed them into the heated base potion with her most bored expression, looking around with a sigh. She just wanted to finish her potions and escape to the outside world where she could lay around and be bored outside instead.
Collecting her thoughts which had been fixed solely on how bored she was, she focused her attention back onto the cauldron. She hadn't realised how long she'd been daydreaming of being outside, for her potion had turned blue in the meantime. She picked up one of the flobberworms and dropped it into the potion, before grabbing another one and letting that drop in as well. She picked up the last one and let it fall from her fingertips into the potion, watching as the lue potion swallowed it up. She did one stir clockwise, contemplating on doing two just to see what mayhem she could cause but decided against it. This teacher didn't look like the very forgiving type.
She placed the belladonna and the hellebore in at the same time like instructed, before putting it on the heat. She looked around the classroom, waiting for the five minutes to come in complete and utter boredom. It seemed that was the only emotion she was capable of at the moment.
She instead cast her eyes to the half-skinned arm and placed a hand on the skinned part, sliding it towards her and wondering what evil potion Raven needed it for. She also wondered why the insane woman had placed it on her own desk. What had she ever done to deserve that? Aquila's expression soured and she pushed the arm away in disgust.
This woman was absolutely bonkers, Aquila decided. She reached into her bag and pulled out her pack of vials, placing them each by the potion ready to be filled. Finally, it had been heating for five minutes so she took it off of the heat and as told too, poured into each vial until she had filled them all.
She looked around and saw she was the first to finish, before turning smug eyes to Raven. "I'm done," she told the teacher, gesturing to her many vials, before sitting back with a smug expression.

Re: Lesson Three
Raven looked at the girl who was like her favourite student but was not, and she glared at her slightly, how dare she take the place of her other housemate, and she didn't seem to be too fond of her either. Too bad. She was her head of house and could make her life a misery.
Hissing as she touched the arm Raven raced over to it, leaving a trail of black smoke behind her and she snatched it up from the girls grip.
"Did nobody tell you its rude to mess with other peoples limbs? Foolish girl."
Raven growled and moved back to her desk, placing the arm under a statis charm so that it wouldn't start rotting and smelling out her classroom.
As soon as the girl looked at her smugly Raven was tempted to rip out her eyes and add them to the potion, but she just snatched up a vial, and whistled, out once again came her pathchworked dog and she grinned.
"Num num time." pouring the potion in his bowl, she saw him lap it up and become more energised.
Smiling, Raven decided that she might have a new favourite student, and she gave her a handful of dried blood vessel housepoints, 10 of them.
"Have ten housepoints love! Good job!"

Re: Lesson Three
Tarragon placed his bag down and hurried for the ingredients. He poured his base potion into the cauldron before starting to cut up the runespoor eggs as carefully as he could with his shaking hands. He chucked the pieces into the heated base potion, whilst trying to remember the next instruction.
When it turns blue, add the Flobberworms and stir once, he thought. So he took all the Flobberworms and chucked them in, stirred it once and waited.
The following explosion knocked Tarragon off his feet over his bench and onto his back on the floor. He sighed loudly and tried to push himself back up.
Potions was just not his subject.

Re: Lesson Three
He wrote each step on the parchment and begun his potion. He kept crossing out the steps as he completed them. It's always to keep a written set of instructions, he thought, especially in Sweeney's class.
He finished after Aquila. He had his doubts mid-way when he thought that the potion did look funny to him but he kept a close look at Aquila's work and when she got the potion right he was pleased that five minutes later his potion was going to be correct as well.
He pocketed the vials and decided to give some to Rudolf later today because patchwork was jumping and leaping with energy. Rudy would love some adrenalin rush, he supposed.
Seven house points and a correct potion now only if Sweeney would punish Tarry just like she had punished me or probably more badly then this would definitely be one of his best classes ever.

Re: Lesson Three
Terrence was already having a long day, he was so new to this world he was so lost. The next class he had was potions. He wondered if this was the class that they make things to cause harm to people or make perople fall in love with them. Terrence had read some up on wizards but not much detail in books in simple stores.
Once again he walked up to the door and knocked and walked in.
"Excuse me, I am Terrence, is this Potions?"

Re: Lesson Three
Raven blinked slightly as there was an explosion coming from one of the cauldrons, she merely stopped and blinked a few times at Tarragon, chuckling quietly to herself before she let a lrage grin break over her face and she started howling with laughter, slamming her hand down on her desk and pointing at the student who was sprawled on the floor.
"So funny! Oh boy, you need to do that more often. I'd give you housepoints but you wrecked my cauldron."
As soon as the door opened Raven scowled, he former good mood now completely gone and she glared at the boy who stepped in, not only was he new, he was also late, and he was not going to get a chance to peform this time.
"Obviously. Hence the cauldrons. Hence the potions ingredients. Hence the test subject." she gestured at the scruffy crazed dog on the chain
"You are very late. That does not make me happy. The lesson is now over, so you will have to make the potion on your own. Without any help. And if I catch you trying to get ingredients from my cupboard I will kill you. Understand?" she growled
Opening the door with a flick of her wand Raven snarled:
"Get out. Class dismissed."
