Lesson Three (First Years) Empty Lesson Three (First Years)

Post by Konig Nickel Tue Jan 10, 2012 12:00 am

Konig was sat behind his desk, waiting for his student to arrive. He was practicing his 'thousand mile' stare again. The same unblinking act that had scared them all so much before. But this time he wasn't just going to scare them, now was a time for actually teaching them some magic.

He was going to teach them how to bewitch the mind.

Lukas entered the class the class with a positive frame of mind. He intend to earn some points for his house today. He found his Lehrer staring at the wall but seemed to have lost in some other world all together.

He thought better than to disturb him and so he sat on the first bench waiting for his professor to return from where ever he was as the rest of the students started coming in.

Entering the psychology classroom, Alys glanced around for Ava, hoping to spot the other witch. But the only student who was familiar was that boy. The witch lowered her eyes and made her way to the back of the class, not noticing the Lehrer who was staring off into space.

Konig snapped out of his thoughts without any visible sign that he'd 'woken up' as it were. Deciding to move for the first time in about twenty minutes, Konig rolled his neck to loosen his muscles there. Silently, he moved over to the blackboard.

Dreams

He underlined the word a few times before setting the piece of chalk down and pointing at Lukas, staring peircingly into the boy's eyes,

"Tell me... what do you know of dreams?"

Lukas stood up as soon as he was asked the question and replied. "Sir, mine are mostly beautiful", he could help but say that out loud. He found it funny,"Also, our mind is always thinking whether we sleep or not. And more often than not they tend to reflect what we are thinking the most, things that we want the most or something that is troubling us. Basically, things that we do not address when we are conscious our sub-conscious puts it forward in our dreams." he finished.

This was all he knew. He tried to read and learn more on his own from the text book but he found it most confusing. He waited for the lehrer to give him permission to sit if he had no more further questions for him.

When the topic for the day was introduced, Alys couldn't help the shiver that went through her. It was creepy the way the teacher seemed to be staring at nothing and talking of dreams. Did he know the witch was regularly plagued by nightime terrors? Was this some sick joke?

Taking a few deep breaths, she managed to calm herself. Of course the Lehrer wasn't out to get her. Dreams were a valid field of study in both psychology and soothsaying as she had read once upon a time. Still, it didn't stop her from flinching when Lukas said his dreams were beautiful.

The witch kept her head down, not wanting to attract any attention this particular lesson at least.
