Background Information:

Very open and frank about his family and the horrible natures of the members of his family. His father, an excessive Dark Arts user (lost himself to the Dark Arts), was an alcoholic and regularly beat Richard for showing emotions, calling them 'expressions of weakness'. His mother was a broken woman long before he was born, having been forced into acting like breeding stock for his abusive father in his desire for blood purity. Richard has several brothers and would have had several sisters had his father not made it a ritual for his sons to kill their sisters once they reached the age of ten. Richard himself killed two of his sisters before he left his family.
The circumstances of his break from his family are as dark as his family traditions. His father found a Pure Blooded French girl for Richard to marry and they were lucky enough to begin to fall in love. Richard, in his emotionally repressed state, did not know how hard he had fallen for his new bride until his father killed her after one year of marriage for not producing a son. Blinded with rage, Richard went to his family home and slaughtered his entire family with horrifying means. By the time most of his father was found by the German Aurors, Richard had taken several portkeys, apparated a dozen times and ridden a muggle bus to reach London. After three years, no suspects have been announced by the German authorities, who have 'officially' labelled it as a mystery.
Was born and raised a German citizen but has since left the country and it's magical military to become a defector for the English, helping them combat the Germans. As part of his upbringing, Richard was taught tactics commonly used by the German Magical War Department and has had great success in giving these plans to the British.
