Background Information:

Briony grew up under the shadow of her older brother Byron, as soon as he was able to do magic her parents had him practice on her and she would have to fight back, as a result her accidental magic kicked in faster than most other childrens. Her grandmother was the one member of her family that she actually liked, her mother being too weak to stop her father and brother's violent attacks on her, her Grandmother's house was a place to be safe and to enjoy herself in. Until German raids burnt it down with her Grandmother still inside. From this day on Briony has sworn a vow not to rest until all the German spies are removed from Britain.
