Relaxing at the dormitory
Haley walked into the girls' dormitory and sighed loudly. No one was there. She really hoped that there would be other Hufflepuff's except her. She had checked the list, and there was another person that was supposed to be here. But Haley couldn't remember if it was a girl or a boy.
She walked over to the big window showing the park outside and a small piece of the black lake. She opened the window to get some fresh air. Then she could hear a hooting. A big, black owl came flying into the dormitory. Haley grinned. "Hey, Zar," she said. The owl sat down next to Haley on the floor. She stroked the bird and sat there in silence for a while, thinking about how this year was going to be like.
She knew she would like the classes. Potions was awesome, that much she had learned already. Herbology really wasn't bad either. Haley loved things that grew. And she really liked Astronomy. It was so cool that the class consisted of so few students. And she really loved the stars. They were so beautiful and to learn to read them would be absolutely awesome. And really every single one of the other classes. But let's not forget to mention Flying. Haley sighed lovingly; she absolutely LOVED to fly. Probably one of the reasons for why her favorite animals were eagles and dragons and owls. She smiled at her owl when thinking of that.
"Maybe I should write a letter to my parents, telling them how awesome it is to be here?" she asked Zar. He only hooted lowly. Haley smiled. "You're right. I should wait until after classes," she said, and rose. Zar nibbled her ear and then flew out of the window. Haley stared after him, before deciding to go back down.
