A Lesson In Art (Char and Humphrey) Empty A Lesson In Art (Char and Humphrey)

Charlotte had decided that it was almost time for her to go and get ready for the next lesson that her and Humphrey were going to be having, it was a few days before the ball and even though she had not finished her dress yet she had promised that she would meet with him. So she would.

Moving through the corridors right up to the Abandoned Tower where she had met him for the first time, Charlotte sat down and placed her art equipment out around her on the worn desk that was up there.

A small smile played on her lips as she waited, she hoped that he had not forgotten that they were supposed to be meeting, to occupy herself Charlotte began doodling in ink on one of her plasters, she had pricked her fingers various times on the needle.

Humphrey had been anticipating the next art lesson so much that time had nearly stopped before the time had finally arrived for their lesson. He had gotten a paint set, and lots of quills and colored pastels as well as charcoal sticks and graphite pencils. He was looking forward to showing her the drawing her he had been working on. It was a pastel of a Hippogriff skimming the waters that was bathed in golden light from both above and below because of the reflection off the lake. The Hippogriff was himself, he had done that multiple times. And he had tried to capture the reflection of himself he had seen in the waters. He had appeared to be wreathed in golden orange and yellow flames. "Here, I made a pastel drawing for you. Tell me what you think?" he asked her, and handed her the full sheet drawing. He had purchased lots of sketch paper, and even one canvas for when she started teaching him painting.

Charlotte heard the door open and she saw that Humphrey was there, standing in the doorway, smiling slightly, after all she was still a little sore about everything that had happened between them Charlotte placed her pad down on the table and waited for him to approach.

"Hey Humphrey, you did? Lets see."

Taking the paper from him Charlotte smiled, the drawing was good, but his shading and pastel work needed to improve before he should attempt it again, of course, she wouldn't say it in such a blunt way to him.

"It's wonderful, a really passionate peice, I can tell that you're attatched to some element in the picture and your colouring isnt too bad for a first try."

"You're kidding, my hippogriff's wings looks like a five year old drawing a dragon." he joked. "It is terrible. And you could say that, you see...the Hippogriff in the drawing is myself. I am an animagus. Oh, by the way, auditions for A Midsummer Night's Dream was just posted. They could use a make-up artist and a program designer as well as actresses if you are interested in the dramatic arts." he told her.
