School Shopping (OPEN)
Terry tried to talk her sister into going shopping with him and she said she would if she had time. She was busy getting ready for school this year herself.
She had taught him many over the summer and he was glad. He was way more prepared for school to start.
He went into the bookstore and keep checking his school list to make sure he was getting to correct books and a couple extra reading books.
He was wondering how Zara, Alys, and Tarragon were doing. He had not heard from them so far all summer. He had sent Tarragon an owl so he was hoping to hear back soon.
He walked up to the counter to pay for his purchases and went to turn around and ran right into someone.
Dropping his books and theirs on the ground he bent over to pick them up.
"I am really sorry about that" Terry looked up to see who it was he bumped.

Keaira had only been buying her books. Only buying books. And the stack just piled up and up and up! She was as good as blind when she had gotten them all. She stumbled carefully over to the counter and was about to put them down when she saw a shadow in the corner of her eye and was suddenly bumped.
The books went flying out of her hands. She herself was pushed back, but managed to keep her balance. She looked down at the person who bumped her. She tilted her head to the side when he looked up at her, apologizing. He had dark hair, she couldn't decide if it was dark brown or black, and his eyes were blue. It was such a weird combo. Then Keaira blinked.
She leaned down and helped gather her own books as it really was many of them.
"Don't worry about it," she said monotonously.
She then almost slapped herself. She needed to be more friendly to people than to be all careface and stuff.
"I mean, it's no problem," she tried again, smiling slightly.

Terry smiled at her when she said it was not a problem. At first he thought she was going to scream at him but then changed her tone.
"I thought I was the only one that was buying out the store today." Terry stated as he looked at all of her books. It was a good thing that his books were already in bags.
Standing up then grabbing some of the books and sitting them on the counter he offered her his hand to help her get off of the floor.
"Here let me help you with the rest of these. By the way my name is Terrence, but you can call be Terry." he said as he placed the rest of the books on the counter.

Keaira smiled. "Nah, I'm starting Durmstrang, so I figured I needed as many books as I could so I have something to do should the school get boring," she said softly.
She loved reading books. Mostly fantasies, though she didn't really need them. What was it in the wizarding world that didn't exist in the books? Well, if you didn't count a talking lion and Uruk-Hai, of course.
Keaira looked slightly wary of the hand he offered her. She usually never saw such gestures from anyone but her brother. Well, she didn't know very many decent people, though. That was probably why. She took his hand and got off the floor with one book she had managed to hold onto.
When he helped pick up the last of the books, Keaira couldn't help but smile. She found that decent guys were pretty cool. Then he introduced himself.
"Hey Terry. I'm Keaira," she said with a smile.
Then she said: "I suppose you're at Durmstrang yourself? What house are you in?"

Terry laughed when she comment about needing books when she got bored.
"I believe one person can never have too many books. I think my sister about died when she saw all the books I brought into her house."
He could tell that she was not used to men being nice like he was, well that was the way he was raised.
" Keaira, now that is a beautiful name. Never heard it before." Terry looked her over there were many different things about her that he found intriging. He felt the same about Zara, but he hadn't heard or seen from her since the wedding, and he didn't chase girls.
He was brought out of his musings by her question.
"Yes, I am in the house of Gechick. So far the house is pretty boring, no one talks to me in there. I have friends from other houses".
As she was finishing up with her purchase he thought maybe she would like something to drink.
"Would you like to get something to drink?"

Keaira found herself liking Terry's laugh. It was so ... laugh-like. She couldn't explain it. Then she grinned.
"I absolutely agree, I have a room of my own where I live, only for books," she said calmly.
Of course she didn't mention the fact that she had blackmailed her guardian into giving it to her. That was history, and should remain history. She wasn't about to do it again, anyways...
She smiled softly when he told her it was a pretty name. "Thank you. Never really heard that one before..." she said.
Once again, she didn't tell him that her name meant 'little dark one' either. For some reason, she didn't want this person to fear her like the rest of the world. And, no, Keaira wasn't as stupid and heartedly as to fall in love with a person she stumbled into. He just seemed to be so nice that she didn't want to ruin his impression of her. She was sick of people fearing her as well. It got annoying.
"Sounds like some stupid people, not wanting to talk to you," Keaira said coldly before she even had time to think.
"Eh... what I meant was... Well, you seem so kind, so I'd think it'd be foolish to not chat with you," she then 'smoothly' covered.
But it wasn't easy to keep a careface when he then asked her if she wanted something to drink after she had her books in bags. She thought about it, and she knew she was thirsty. And this guy was nice. So what was the harm?
"Sure, where?" she asked with a small smile.

"I believe there is a little shop around the corner, here let me help you with those" He goes to grab a few of her bags for her.
As they started to walk to the little shop. "You know you do not have to apologize every time there is meanness in your tone." smile Terry.
"Yeah the people in my house are jerks, thats why I have friends outside of my house." Terry said as they made it to the shop.
Looking over the menu it seemed they had everything a person could possible want to drink.
"I will take a butterbeer and what ever the lady likes."

Keaira didn't quite know how to respond when he took some of her bags of books, but she decided to just go along with it without saying anything. She then sighed.
"I guess you're right. I'm just trying to be a bit kinder than what I once was. After all, I will be hanging around a bunch of more people now, so I should try to be more amiable. But I won't apologize again," she then said, finishing with a smile.
She then nodded. "I can understand that," she said, "Jerks are pretty much people I just want to stay away from. If they should piss me off though..."
This she said as an afterthought, and had not really meant to say it at all. But she stayed true to her word, and didn't apologize. She did look at Terry with an inspecting gaze to make sure he didn't find her horrible and freaky.
She then smiled wider when Terry offered to buy her something. She looked around and smiled.
"I think I'll just have a butterbeer too," she said calmly.
She had never tasted one really, so when they sat down, and she took a sip, she was completely surprised by how good and warm it tasted. And normally, Keaira didn't like 'warm'. But butterbeer was gonna end up on her list of awesome drinks.
She grinned at Terry. "Thanks," she then said calmly.

Terry paid for the two butterbeers and then they went and sat down at the table. Terry was looking at this girl and thought she had the most beautiful brown eyes, they almost look like a portal to her soul. He wondered what mysteries this girl had in her, and at the point he was willing to find out.
Terry saw her as she took a sip of the butterbeer, the look on her face could tell him that she enjoyed the drink. Terry could not help but laugh when he noticed the foam mustache she had.
"Your mouth diffidently enjoyed that drink too. Here is napkin for that mustache." He handed the napkin too her, he had wanted to at first wipe it off for her, but was not sure how she would respond.
"So Ms. Keaira, what type of things do you like to do?" Terry was really interested in this girl and needed to know what she liked so if he ever got up the courage to ask her out on a date he would know what to do.

Keaira frowned for a second when he gave her the napkin, and then snickered. She wiped her mouth clean from the mustache and grinned at him.
"Thanks," she said joyously.
She had never been in a situation like this and it was getting interesting. She couldn't help but grin. She honestly couldn't, and that pretty much was a first. She loved how he made her feel so happy and good. She never knew it would be this awesome to try to be nice. Of course, it would take more than that for her to stop playing the deathly games she used to play with Myles. But it didn't take more than to be nice to Terry to make her feel happy.
"Please, just Keaira. You're making me feel uncomfortable," she then said honestly when he called her 'Ms. Keaira'.
Then she looked thoughtfully into the air. "Many things, really. I love to take cold, dark trips into big, old forests and I love being close to water and bathing. That's my top two things, I think. How about you?" she asked curiously.
She liked where this was going, and had every intentions to see it through.

Terry was always taught to be proper when it came to the ladies. Even though they may not of been his real parents they did raise him to respect woman.
"I am sorry, Keaira, no more Ms. for you." Terry smiled
"To be honest I enjoy a nice walk around lakes, I also enjoy going through the cemetery." Terry knew most people thought the idea of walking through the cemetery was just too creepy.
"I know it is a weird thing to enjoy, but I like to wonder how they day, and sometimes why they had died so young." Taking a drink of his butterbeer and then sitting it back down.
"So what about school, what sort of subjects are you interested in." Terry wondered if he was asking too much at the moment but he just wanted to know more about this beautiful creature.

Cemeteries? Keaira tilted her head to the side and studied Terry a bit closer. His spiritual pressure wasn't unlike a humans, but it was much more soothing to her. But why cemeteries? She tilted her head to the other side and continued the thorough look. She did agree with him, though. Not on every point, the cemeteries were pretty creepy, even to her, but she liked the feeling of being crept out. She often sought for it.
"I guess I can understand what you mean," she said, straightening her neck again, "But though it might be peaceful, why do you mourn people you never knew?"
This was the point that Keaira didn't understand about many people. She didn't care about the people she had never met, and often even the people she knew. If her guardian were to drop dead, she didn't think she could've been happier. Well, most likely anyways.
She then smiled. "What is the most common cause of death you can think of when you see a grave?" she asked.
Looking into her glass of butterbeer she frowned. "I think I'll like Potions a lot, though another student told me to watch out for the teacher there. But I think I'll also love Charms and Dark Arts and pretty much everything. There are many things that fascinate me. Just not many people. You should be happy to have made the list," Keaira said, once again not realizing what she had just said before the words were out of her mouth.
Then she sighed. She wasn't one to be embarrassed, but she didn't always love to slip up and give people compliments and all. However she smiled to him.

Re: School Shopping (OPEN)
Terry never really thought about his obsession with Cemeteries being about mourning.
Leaning forward on the table playing with his glass.
"You know I guess I never really though about it as mourning. Its more of a fascination with the people themselves. You know how they lived and how they died" Taking another drink.
"I mean I look at the dates and if the person was young I wonder if it was illness that took them, if it was during war time, did they die because they were in the war."
Terry was finding this very interesting, he had never explained to anyone why he liked the cemetery before.
When she was talking about potions class and being a little nervous about the teacher.
"You have no idea about 'The Sweeney', in a classroom it can be pretty scary, but she did give me a private lesson once and it was not too bad."
Terry cringed a little at the thought of his first meeting with the teacher. Then she wanted to know his favorite subjects.
"Well I do like potions, but I hate herbology."

Keaira understood what he meant. She did. And she sometimes did feel the same way. But she didn't think too much about the people themselves, just the cause of death. She usually exaggerated it, but she decided not to tell Terry that.
But she did find history interesting. So she did agree with him with checking the dates and if they lived and possibly died during one of the Wizarding Wars.
"Yes, it is pretty interesting to see who died when. Especially if they died in one of the wars. They're very interesting to learn more about," Keaira said honestly.
She didn't like war. It made everyone a bull's eye. But she couldn't stop what had happened either. Not that she would be strong enough to do so anyways. She smiled to Terry. She could honestly say that she was having a good time. It had been a long time since she enjoyed herself so much.
"I understand. So she's kind of like the misunderstood teacher, or is she ... well ... evil?" Keaira asked.
She had noticed herself how she was pretty fascinated by this 'The Sweeney'. She pretty much couldn't wait for the school to start. It would be really interesting.
"Herbology? You don't like it? I guess I can understand why. It's pretty dull learning about the different types of flowers and stuff, but it does come in handy," Keaira said with a grin, "Especially if you take both Potions and Herbology. Those two together are a pretty strong combination."
Keaira smiled at him. She loved this. The butterbeer was awesome, Terry was superkind, and everything was just great. She enjoyed this a lot. Even more than she had fully appreciated yet.

Re: School Shopping (OPEN)
Terry was finishing up the rest of his butterbeer as she talked about things. The more he listened to her the more he started to enjoy her voice. She seemed the sweetest person he had met in awhile.
"Lehrer Drake to me might just be understood, I am not sure. I figure you just do what she asks then every thing would be fine.." Terry was thinking about the time he spent with 'The Sweeney' learning how to make a potion.
"All I know is the time that I spent with her, was fine. I was a little nervous at first but then I relaxed."
When she started to talk about Herbology and potions and how they work together.
He was a little nervous to tell her what he was going to say next.
"To be honest last year was the first time I have ever been around magic, up right until school started." Terry looked off to the side.
"I found out that my parents adopted me, and when they died last year I received information about my past. All the time I thought I was a muggle then I get this package and learn not only am I a wizard, but a pureblood one at that."

"Lehrer Drake? Well, then, we at least have one thing in common. My last name is Drake too," she said with a grin.
She then smiled. "So, she's not all bad, then? Well, I don't mind that at all," Keaira said calmly.
Then his spirits changed. It was like he got nervous, and Keaira knew that what he was about to say was a lifechanger for him.
When he started explaining, Keaira wondered that maybe he was a muggle-born, but that wouldn't be possible. As far as she knew, Durmstrang only admitted half-bloods or more. Then he kept explaining, and Keaira understood.
"I don't know my parents either. I don't even know if they're alive. But I knew that my guardian wasn't my parent. But though I'd like to know who they are, I don't think too much about it. But I'm sorry that they died, I truly am. I wish I had been there then," Keaira said softly, meaning every word.
The loss of someone you cared about, no matter what relationship it was, was very hard. Keaira didn't know herself, because the only one she cared about was Myles. So she didn't really know anything about loss.
"If there's ever anything you want to talk about, Terry, then please tell me. Honestly," she said.

Terry felt that he could really trust this girls.
"There is always something that might come to my mind so I know I will probably take you up on that offer." Terry smiled as he looked at his empty butterbeer contemplating on whether or not he should get another one.
When she mentioned that she didn't know who her parents were and that her last name was Drake it made Terry think of something.
"Wouldn't be weird if Lehrer Drake was your mother, it might even be a little freaky."

Keaira grinned at him. "Good. I'd like to help," she said calmly.
Then she snorted. "That would be some awesome shit," she said casually, "But I wouldn't bet on it. What are the chances, I mean?"
She sniggered. 'The Sweeney', her mother. Yeah. And God loves Satan.
"But it would be cool to know who my mother is," Keaira then added in a thoughtful tone.
She sighed. She really did want to know, but she didn't want to care either. She didn't think it would change anything, but you never knew. She finished her butterbeer. She then looked at her clock.
She groaned. "I'm sorry Terry. I completely lost track of time," she said, annoyed at herself, "I have to leave in ten minutes," she added.
She then looked into his deep eyes. She smiled softly to him. She didn't know what it was, but something pinched her in her stomach. She didn't want to leave either. She wanted to stay there. She wanted to sit and chat with Terry until the end of the world. He was just ... great. He was much more than Keaira had ever known.
"But hey, we'll chat loads on Durmstrang, right?" she asked him, not wanting the conversation to end.
She really just wanted to sit there and stay with him. She didn't want to leave him. She sighed when she realized what the pinching feeling had been. Keaira then shrugged inwardly. If he was so appealing to her, what the hell was she supposed to do with it? She figured there was nothing more to do than just to go along with it.

Re: School Shopping (OPEN)
When she said she was going to have to leave in 10 minutes he was a little sad, he was enjoying her company.
"Yeah, I guess your right I need to go too, but when we get back to school we will have to meet up in the evenings and talk about our day." Terry smiled at her.
"I know I wish I would get to know my real parents but seeing is they died I will never get that chance. It will be up to my sister to tell me all about them."
Terry stood up so they could get ready to leave.
"This has really been fun and I can't wait to talk to you again." Terry really wanted to hug her and he couldn't explain why he felt the pull but he would discover it.

"I look forward to that," Keaira said, knowing that days on school could get very long, and it would be good to know that the day would end up with her talking to a person she found so great.
"Well, at least you have your sister, right? It must be nice to have her. I know I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you if I didn't have a twin like Myles," Keaira said calmly.
They then both rose, and she took her denim jacket and threw it back on.
"Me neither," she said lowly.
She then sighed, knowing that what she was about to do was either completely stupid or absolutely wonderful. She walked up to him, and gave him a hug. It felt nice. He was warm. She smiled to herself.
"I'm really glad I met you, Terry. Truly," she said joyously.
