Lesson 1- First Years

Jadzia Krulle was back for the new school term and looking forward to her new batch of students. Her holiday was spent back with her team, acting as strategic advisor to their developing plans in invading Britain. However, one thing caught her off guard. She missed teaching. She missed her students. Who would have thought that Jadzia Krulle would find herself actually enjoying this teaching position.

Walking to the door, she opened it to allow her new first years to file it. This would be her first meeting for these young ones and she was looking forward to seeing how they would grasp the defense concepts and techniques taught this year.

When lehrer Krulle came and opened the door for the students, Keaira walked into the classroom, sitting down at a random desk. She was curious as to what they would learn in this class, and next to Potions and Dark Arts, Keaira was pretty sure that she'd loved Defence. She also looked forward to starting the duelling, but she had to know some spells for that.

She then took out her book and put her wand on the bench as well. She looked up at lehrer Krulle and waited for her to start speaking.

"Good Morning, students, and welcome to Defense Against the Dark Arts," Jadzia announced, closing the door which signified that class had officially started. "I am Professor Krulle and will be your instructor for this school term."

Jadzia crossed to the center of the room, continuing her opening lecture. "this class will teach you the skills needed to best survive, especially in times such as this. Defending yourself is more then just waving your wand and hoping for the best. You need to always be a step ahead which calls for strategy." Jadzia knew that each of these students would encounter this war in one way or another. She was determined that they would be prepared.

"Now before we begin our lesson, are there any questions?"

Keaira wanted to learn strategy. She wanted to learn it quickly as well. It was the most important part of a battle, really. With a bloody good strategy it would take a lot of work to ruin it.

"What kinds of spells will be sentral in our learning, professor?" Keaira then asked calmly, with her hand in the air.
