The Caretaker's office was getting tidied by it's sole human occupant-Lucrezia. With the end of the school week means that she wouldn't have to deal with these naive creatures. Sighing in relief, she spotted her red screech owl perch itself on its designated shelf and by the look of it she had some sort of rodent in her mouth.

"Last day." The Caretaker said absently. "Only if they were spirits, I wouldn't have stupid paperwork to fill in." The owl dropped her parcel of rat on the shelf and screeched in reply. Lucrezia lifted the bloody mess of her paperwork and placed the noisy animal onto her now clear desk. The owl didn't like this relocation and snapped its beak at her before Lucrezia returned her food. "Fussy animal." Lucrezia tutted at the owl, who ate the rodent with happiness. Lucrezia turned to the overflowing draws and cringed-then realised why she was doing it like a muggle when she could easily clear the mess like a witch. Unsheathing the 12 inches of Black Poplar, she flicked her wrist and everything was cleaned. Papers had gone to the recipiants, books shelved in alphabetical order and miscellanous items were placed in her draws. Lucrezia beamed at her clean office and turned back to her owl, who had now fully digested the animal and had a ball of fur and bones at her talons.

"Take your mess outside." Lucrezia ordered to the owl. The owl snapped at her twice but relented and flew out, narrowly missing but aiming deliberately at, Lucrezia's head and disposing with the regurgitated ball. Then, and only then did she pick up the muggle novel (named "Black Angel") and set out to finish it. She enjoyed the mundaness that was muggle writing, and it can sometimes make her sleepy.

...Amber eyed the man, her grey orbs melting into almost liquid mercury...

Lucrezia yawned.

...Her mouth filled with some sort of rage as her dimples found...blah, blah...blah

Lucrezia felt her owl perch itself on her head, but her body was no longer responsive to her commands. But her mouth was.

"Your a dead bird." Lucrezia growled. The owl chirped cheerily, either ignoring the threat or knowing that Lucrezia would do nothing to hurt her. "Little devil."

Chirp, chirp, chirp.

'seek it'
