A Drink or Two.
Jabbar strolled in heading straight for the bar. Despite the war he had decided to come visit his friend in England. It seemed that nothing had changed, his friend remained the same spoiled brat he had been when they were younger, much to Jay's frustration.
He waited for the barista to notice him, he was not in a hurry, on the contrary, the longer he stayed away the better. Jay decided to people watch, the placed seemed to be busy despite the small town in which it was located. He wondered it this place was famous for something and if he should be better somewhere else. Perhaps, not in Britain? It was too late now, mind as well enjoy the drinks.

Re: A Drink or Two.
Ophelia was working a night shift, and this put her in a sour mood. She had been working hard all day in the hopes that her boss would let her off for the night, but alas one of the girls had faked being sick and she was left to do her shift. Grumbling about pathetic girls who couldn't pull their weight in the world, Ophelia flicked her wand at the dishes and watched as the dishcloths danced forwards to wash the dishes.
She left the kitchens and looked around to see if there was anyone else she could serve when she was hailed by a woman who looked in her late 30's with long, blonde hair.
"What can I get you?" Ophelia grumbled, not in the mood to deal with customers.
She gave the lady her firewhisky before the Chef called for her and she disappeared into the kitchens again, toying with a loose thread on her apron. "Hey Jase, what table?" She said, motioning to the dishes. He informed her they were for table 10, and so she piled the four plates onto her arm and walked out into the main area, arriving at table 10 with a bored expression and she placed the plates down.
As she made her way back to behind the bar, the door swung open and a gust of icy air washed over her skin. She shivered and rubbed at her arms as the door swung shut, looking up to see a very attractive man taking a seat at the bar. She served another customer before walking over to him with that same sour expression. But, she decided to be polite just for this one handsome man, and she gave him a tiny smile.

Jay smiled politely. "Hello. Firewhiskey, please." He didn't plan go drinking too much. The last thing he wanted was to get into trouble. Especially with the war between Germany and England. If people found out he was a Professor at Durmstrang he would probably be arrested, not that he had any valuable information.
Jabbar made sure when he got the job that he was not taking part in this stupid war. Children should not be used as weapons. He scowled thinking of the amount of children dying everyday and all because of arrogance and stupidity. Both countries had dealt with each other peacefully for decades, why couldn't they solve their differences diplomatically was beyond him.
"You know what? Mind as well bring the whole bottle" He told the barista. Jay was thankful for having spent so long in America. He had adopted the American accent and that helped disguise the fact that he was Russian, a country that sided with Germany as soon as the war begun.

Re: A Drink or Two.
Ophelia nodded her head, friendly exterior gone as sourness and annoyance settled back in. It was just another customer, another day, another late shift, another sick girl, another extra shift. Her life was boring, repetitive and she felt that she really needed to get more of a life. She considered visiting Cain, owling Briony and perhaps visiting The Masque to see Raz.
She moved away and went to the rows of bottles that contained various alcoholic drinks, from wizarding to muggle they had the lot. She couldn't see Firewhisky anywhere, so she whipped out her wand and summoned the bottle. Pocketing her wand, she held out her hand and caught the bottle as it whizzed over to her. She pulled the lid off and wandered back over to the stranger and placed the bottle down on the bar.
She had noted his american accent with interest, though she detected a hint of some other accent mixed within it. She wasn't one to pry or be suspicious - being Australian and all - so she didn't think much of it. She requested the money from him, and wondered why he was ordering a whole bottle of the drink.
"Rough day?"
