Second Lesson- Second Years
Angelus came in and rearranged the seats in the room. He wanted to change it up a little of the next lesson. He wanted to discuss the founders of Hogwarts
Around the room he placed groups of tables around to represent the four houses. He realized that he did not have any students from his own house. He wondered how he could change that. Maybe he should send a message to his students.
Sitting up the tables he placed Slytherin and Gryffindor on the left side and then Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff on the other side. Then on the board he wrote down something they could get to work on while waiting for class to start.
"Make sure to find your correct seats they are all labelled."
"Make a list of a couple of things that you think of when someone talks about the founders of Hogwarts."
He finished he board writing and went back to his desk and awaited for the students to arrive.

Re: Second Lesson- Second Years
Parker made sure to set out early for class today, feeling bad for missing the first lesson. He'd been so caught up with the readjustment back to school, it had completely slipped his mind. The last teacher having not done much, he'd not even noticed the space in his schedule.
He creaked the door open a bit, peeking in and seeing no one was there yet. He sighed, and walked in the rest of the way, grabbing his bag from his shoulder. He looked around and frowned, seeing that the chairs were separated by house as many of his classes last year had been.
He looked up at the board that said to find their seats. He glanced over them quickly, and didn't see his name at first. He was not sure if it'd be there since he'd missed the first lesson. He looked over to the Professor's desk, seeing the man. "Uh-uhm, Professor? I'm sorry, but I missed first lesson. I didn't miss anything too important did I?"

Agatha ran in, she had turned her alarm off this morning and as a result missed breakfast and barely had time to fix her uniform. Her tie was loose, her shirt wrinkled as she ran and tried to button it up correctly. "Sorry I'm la-" she stopped talking as she noticed the almost empty classroom and frowned.
"Nevermind" She blushed and moved to take a seat. That's when she noticed the names and went to search for hers. After siting down she placed her head on the desk wanting to go back to sleep.

Victoria was curious what the lesson would be this time. She tried to read more from the text, not wanting to look like a stupid muggle this time.
Seeing the instructions on the board she inwardly groaned. Being separated by house wasn't really fun for her. The only Gryffindor she knew in her year was Airen and he probably wasn't taking this class. So she would be alone.
Taking her seat, she got out a parchment to write.
The founders all agreed to form a school for children that had shown magical abilities before the age of 11. After years of working together, Slytherin could no longer stay at the school, since he thought they should only admit pure bloods. This caused the biggest rift between Slytherin and Gryffindor.
She hated the whole situation. The divisions and the superiority.

Re: Second Lesson- Second Years
As Pyxis made her way up from the dungeons to the first floor, she sighed and even yawned. She wasn't in the mood for lessons today, but she was sure History of Magic would cheer her up. It was a great lesson, for though she denied it if any asked her she adored learning all about history.
She entered the classroom and paused as she saw that the seating arrangements had been divided by house. Spying Parker among the Slytherin's, she beamed and hurried over to him. Just seeing him could brighten up her day, she'd missed her best friend. A lot. She took her seat and looked up at the board, a huge smile settling on her face. She loved the history of Hogwart's, and eagerly she began scribbling down facts off the top of her head.
The founders of Hogwart's were a group of four people - two women, two men. Salazar Slytherin, the head of Slytherin house. He was a cunning, smart, strategic and cruel man. He believed that only the purest should be allowed into Hogwart's, however modern day Slytherin's lack quite a few of these negative traits that he posessed, and are now placed in Slytherin for their quick mind and their deceitful, cunning nature. Godric Gryffindor, a brave and noble man whom everybody appeared to like - save for Salazar. Godric believed that only the bravest should be allowed into his house at Hogwart's, and so that was how Gryffindor came to be. Rowena Ravenclaw was an intelligent woman. She was also not a show-off about it, which is why many smart people in either Gryffindor or Slytherin are placed in those houses. Ravenclaw's are quietly smart and do not rub it in other peoples faces that they know more than them. Finally, Helga Hufflepuff. She was a loyal, friendly and modest woman. She thought that all should be accepted to Hogwart's, no matter what.

Re: Second Lesson- Second Years
Parker looked over as some others in the class walked in. A Hufflepuff girl that was in a few of his classes, yet had never talked to, rushed into the room thinking she was late and dumped herself into her chair, looking tired. Then Victoria had come in, he never talked to her much, but she was good friends with Tess. He gave her a smile as she came in, noticing she seemed to be a little upset.
When she started to write, Parker looked back to the board, noticing they were supposed to list off some things about the founders. He frowned, he didn't know all the much. He'd been spending his time in the history section of the library absorbed in the Second Wizarding War and that Vold-Moldy guy. He sighed as he dug around in his bag for a quill and parchment, sitting back up as Pxyis walked in. He smiled wide back at her as she hurried towards him and took a seat. As she started to write as well, Parker figured he might as well try. Hopefully they wouldn't have to share... He started to sparsly list off some things that he knew, even if they were basically common knowledge here.
Salazar Slytherin: cunning, ambitious, pureblood, traditional, parselmouth. Godric Gryffindor: brave, strong, honest, righteous. Rowena Ravenclaw: intelligent, quick, forward, modest. Helga Hufflepuff: loyal, accepting, kind, gentle.
Slytherin's locket, Sword of Gryffindor, The Diadem, The Hufflepuff cup.
Parker sighed, looking at his pathetic list. He looked over at Pxyis and she seemed to write a whole paragraph. He looked down at his again, then back at her. "I feel like I probably should have looked up something about them..."

Angelus looked around the room and he noticed that everyone was jotting down their thoughts. He was looking around and noticed that Tabi was not in class but he would excuse her this time.
"Now class let us discuss what we have written. Let us start with my favorite of course and that in Ravenclaw. Who can tell me some things about that founder?"

Tabi knew she had to go to History of Magic she had to keep herself busy. Things would be a little easier if people would stop asking her what was wrong, but she knew that was not going to happen
Walking into the classroom she saw that he had arranged the tables into different houses and he had a placed a sign where they were suppose to sit.
Tabi walked over and had a seat in her section and really was in no mood to do the work so she just sat there and listened to everyone else.

Victoria raised her hand. "Rowena Ravenclaw was actually the founder to choose the location and name for Hogwarts. She had a dream that a hog with warts lead her here, hence the name." She tried not to giggle at the simple origin of the name.
"She was known for creativity and cleverness, she chose students with similar qualities to be in her house."
Victoria looked around the class and was surprised to see that no Ravenclaws were actually in this class. Hmm.

Re: Second Lesson- Second Years
Angelus listened to Ms. Rossmond's answer and she was right on with the answer, very good answer.
"Very good job Ms Rossmond, 10 points to Gryffindor." Angelus smiled he was always proud of his house.
"Now who can tell me about Slytherin House, Mr. Emery perhaps."

Parker looked up from his notes and at the professor. He gulped, a bit wide-eyed feeling completely unprepared to answer, and not too keen on speaking in class anyways.
"Uh-uhm...Well, the house is known for cunning and ambition." Parker sighed, looking down at his desk, not really at his notes, playing with the corner of his parchment. "He was the most traditional of the founders and- and thought the school should only let in purebloods. Most of those in Slytherin are pureblood..." he trailed off, feeling himself sink in his chair a bit, lowering his head. "S-some still have those traditional beliefs..."

Re: Second Lesson- Second Years
Tabi would have normally enjoyed watching Parker squirm in his seat when he had to talk about the Slytherin background.
Parker was one of the Slytherins in the house that was as far off the charts that they can get. Parker was a muggle born and Tabi imagined that Salazar was turning over in his grave.
Tabi raised her hand to Professor Moody.
"Professor how does that happen, I mean with sorting. How can a muggleborn like Parker end up in Slytherin house. A house meant for Half and purebloods?"

Re: Second Lesson- Second Years
Parker stared down at his desk as Tabi started talking. He closed his eyes, bringing his hands to cover his face as he slouched in his chair. Why did she even have to ask that?? Or if she really felt it necessary, why include his name in that? He didn't want to be pointed out as some weirdo. He knew it was strange. He knew there weren't even that many half-bloods in Slytherin, let alone muggleborn.
A house meant for them, she said? So he wasn't meant to be there? Or at least that's what she thought? Parker felt his face heat up more with embarrassment. Not only had he felt like the teacher put him on the spot, but now Tabi as to make it worse.
A part of him wanted to really dislike her for still acting the way she did, he thought she'd have learned by now people don't like that mindset anymore. But another part of him knew she'd just been raised differently and that she may actually want to change but it may be hard.

Re: Second Lesson- Second Years
Angelus looked at Mr. Emery as he gave an answer. He could tell the boy was a little nervous with his answering but Angelus could understand why he would feel that way. But Angelus believed that Mr. Emery should be proud being the first that he knew of, muggleborn into Slytherin.
"5 points to Slytherin Mr. Emery, remember you should be proud to be in that house you have accomplished something no other muggle born has been able too." Angelus smiled at him hoping that would make Mr. Emery feel better.
Then he noticed Ms. Prewett who did make it to class finally ask a question.
"First off Ms. Prewett because of your sister I will not dock you for being late, but you will not receive the 5 points for attendance."
Angelus thought about how to answer Ms. Prewett's question.
"Well Ms. Prewett that is simple, times are changing and apparently Mr. Emery has Slytherin traits that he is not aware of. Next time you have a question like that please leave the person's name out of it. "
Angelus looked around a the students and decides on this weeks homework.
"For this weeks assignment I would like a 50 word summary on why you believe you were placed in the house you are in. Due before the next class period."
Angelus smiled at the thought of some of the ideas these students would come up with.
"Class Dismissed"
