Lesson Three - Second Years Empty Lesson Three - Second Years

Post by Raven 'The Sweeney' Drake Mon Mar 12, 2012 7:53 pm

Raven wandered into the classroom, she had been trying to make an abstract kind of art on the wall with one of her old razors, she had made a rough looking skull there and she couldn't help but stand back and appreciate the art that she had created.

It looked pretty good.

Then Raven looked down at her hands and the many gashes that were present upon them and she couldn't help but giggle to herself and move to sit on her desk, waiting for the students to come in and be taught another potion they probably wouldn't appreciate.

Lesson Three - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Second Years

Post by Luka Drake Mon Mar 12, 2012 8:32 pm

Luka hummed a soft, melodic and skin-crawling tune to himself, his dagger scraping against the stone walls as he walked along with its tip pressed against them. His eyes were black by magic he had used himself, and he was quite proud of them. Black eyes, a dagger, and a frightening look made Luka feel cheery and playful. He wished he could play a prank on of the teachers, i.e stand outside their window and tap against it with his dagger in his hand.

He growled and decided he would, for he was Luka Drake and could do whatever he pleased. He entered the potions classroom with his creepy smile on place, and he slowly tucked his dagger away. "Morning m'lady," he said in a false english accent with an over-exaggerated bow before he took a seat, pulled out his dagger again and began carving 666 into the table.

Lesson Three - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Second Years

Keaira walked into the potions classroom with a light mind. She had found some of her old self again after being confused for a long time. She looked up and saw Sweeney sitting there. She gave a nod and then her eyes fell on her twin.

Keaira walked over to him with bored eyes and sat down, giving a nod to him before opening her books. She then noticed how he was scraping '666' into the table. She rolled her eyes a bit, but found it amusing, and didn't really mind.

Terry was ready for potions, he had been around "The Sweeney" enough that he wasn't bothered by her any more. Besides she seemed to like him so that was ok with him.

Walking into the classroom he saw that Keaira and her brother were there so he decided that he better sit at another desk instead of with Keaira. He was not sure what her brother thought of him yet.

Terry was interested to find out what potion that Missy was suppose to drink during this class. He was still mad at her but grudges were not his thing. He would leave it up to Keaira.

He sat down at his table and pulled out his books and things and waited for the class to start.

Missy drug her feet on her way to potions she really didn't want to go because she knew what was going to happen. She was going to have to drink that potion.

Missy drugged herself into the classroom and found a seat in the back and pulled out her things and took out her things and got ready of the lesson.

Raven saw that most of the class was there and she smirked slightly, kicking the rock away from the door and beginning to look at the students in turn, of course she hadn't forgotten what they would be doing this lesson, no far from it, and she tapped the board with her wand.

"You remember what potion we are brewing today correct? The Babbling Beverage? And of course we all remember who is going to be tasting it at the end of the lesson?"

Grinning manically as she saw that both of the students who shared her name were now in her class, Raven shifted forward and knelt down in front of Luka, frowning as she read what he was carving into the desk, then smirked, nice touch.

With that she moved back to the board and tapped it:

"Teams of two. Complete these instructions. You have until the end of the lesson."

'Ingredients:

Powdered Root of Asphodel (1 teaspoon)
Wormwood (2 twigs)
Eye of Newt (2 small ones or 1 large)
Tube Worms (3)
Erumpant Exploding Fluid (4 drops)

1. Add the tube worms one at a time to the base potion when your cauldron is on a medium heat only
2. Take your ladel and stir the potion three times clockwise, wait for it to turn translucent
3. Crumble the wormwood and add to the potion, it must be a fine powder
4. Leave the potion for 5 minutes and turn the heat up to full
5. Then add the eye of newt you have collected and wait for the potion to turn orange in colour
6. This is the DANGEROUS part, turn the heat right down to add the exploding fluid, add one drop at a time, waiting one minute intervals between each ingredient.'

Lesson Three - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Second Years

Keaira saw Terry walk in, and gave him a small smile and a nod, before returning her attention to Sweeney. Then, when she had gotten all the instructions she needed, she looked at Luka.

"I'll get the ingredients, prep the cauldron, okay?" she asked him monotonously and went to get the ingredients.

When she came back, she dealt them between each other. She added the Tube Worms when she had made sure that the cauldron was on medium heat. Though she wasn't a major fan of Melissa, she'd be damned if she didn't manage to even make a babbling potion.

She then stirred it three times clockwise and felt content when the potion turned translucent. She then added the wormwood she had crushed and put it into the cauldron. Then it was to wait five minutes. She left the rest of the potion for Luka to deal with, feeling pretty sure that he wouldn't mess up in Potions.

Melissa hung her head because the Lehrer had told them that they needed to be in teams of two and seeing there were only four people in the class the only other person she had was Terry. Melissa walked over to Terry.

"I know your still ticked at me, but it looks like we have to do this together." Missy sighed she was going to be so out of place in this class. Only four people and all of them were on Sweeney's side but her.

"I will even go get all the ingredients if you would like to warm up the cauldron." Missy never gave Terry a chance to answer her question and went over to the ingredients and brought them back to the table.

Terry knew he was going to have to work with Missy when Sweeney stated they were going to have to work in groups of two. It didn't take a genius to figure it out. He as really glad when it was Missy that walked over to him instead of him having to go over to her.

After Missy took off to get the ingredients Terry went ahead and got the cauldron all prepped and ready to go he just waited for her to come back.

Looking at the list of ingredients he wondered who should do what. When Missy made it back to the table Terry said "Why don't you start crumbling the wormwood, and I will do the first two steps?"

Terry knew the best thing to do was to work on the potion and not worry about their personal lives at the moment so they wouldn't fail the potion.

Raven dinged a bell that had been placed on her desk, and she looked lazily at the students in her class, at least her child had managed to get the potion almost done, and she couldn't help but feel a little proud of the girl. Looking at the rest of the class Raven raised her eyebrow and pointed at the door, with a little sigh she stood up;

"Unfortunately since nobody bothered to make the potion Melissa you are safe for this lesson, however to all of those who tried to complete the potion, that's you Keaira and Melissa, ten house points."

With that Raven rummaged around in her pot and handed the children ten teeth each with a jovial smile.

"Class dismissed."
