Re: Second years, third lesson: the Boggart
Victoria jumped in, not wanting to miss the opportunity. She took a deep breath before the professor opened the box again. She wasn't quite sure what was going to come out, but she wasn't ready.
As the lid opened, a beautifully aged women stepped out. Her perfectly styled blonde hair and aesthetically pleasing painted nails were all too familiar to Victoria. She cringed and awaited the onslaught.
Her boggart mother opened her mouth and her voice was a distorted, almost demon-like sound. "Why can't you be like Kathleen? She always gets perfect grades. She always dresses well. She's the perfect daughter. You disgust me!" And on and on and on.
Victoria knew this would look funny to the other students, simply a disapproving parent, but to her it was hell. It was the mental torture she'd lived with since she could remember. Never being good enough.
She could feel her confidence to perform the spell dwindling at the prospect of not being the "perfect daughter". Looking over at the teacher, then at Tess, who had defeated her own fear, she took a firm stance and shouted "Riddikulus!" The boggart/mom seemed to have been put through a kaleidoscope. All the colors on her seemed to have changed to the least appealing they could be. Her clothes turn to older styles, almost retro, and she started panicking. Victoria wasn't sure how the boggart could react so perfectly to something that would horrify her mother, but it did. It quickly ran to the safety of it's box and she could finally relax.

Re: Second years, third lesson: the Boggart
Airen drew in a deep breath before walking up to the boggart case. He mentally recited lines that he found in media to give him courage, but that courage went out the window when the case opened.
A black cloaked figure emerged from the case. It had sharp, metal battle gloves and boots. It held a sword that reflected the light in the room. Six more came from behind it, all dressed in the same attire. They attacked him. Without blinking, he drew his sword and began to fight them. Soon, all their hoods flew off to reveal the faces of people who had fallen on that night.
They began to speak as one. "Why didn't you save us, Airen? Were you so weak as to do nothing while we were massacred? Did you forget our teachings and abandon us to our doom? You're secret's out, now. Your friends will leave you. They'll force you to retell the events. They'll listen, and then..."
"Riddikulus!" Airen said over their voices. They soon turned into monkeys that got tangled in the giant cloaks. After a few seconds of it, The boggart shot back into the chest. Airen sheathed his sword. He'd no doubt get questions. He only wished he didn't have to face the guilt that night left him with so soon.

Re: Second years, third lesson: the Boggart
Parker had been shoved ahead in the line. He was shaking slightly, expecting that he'd actually get away with not doing it this time. He didn't want to be reminded of his fear, or worse, find out he had a different one.
The trunk the boggart was in rattled slightly before opening, an image of the lake appearing before him. He took in a breath stared at it for a brief moment as it then dropped to the floor morphing into a Gryindylow. His eyes followed it and taking in a sharp, startled breath, he took a few steps back as it gurgled, changing shape yet again.
He gripped his wand tightly, his eyes wide as a large figure of a thin woman appeared. Her long white dress flowed towards the ground where no feet where, but a sort of fog. Her long black hair covered over her face before she bent her head back, taking in a deep gasping breath, her mouth a gaping hole with many sharp teeth. He had no clue what he was looking at as it took in the ragged breath, apparently getting ready to scream. What on Earth was it and why was he afraid of something he'd never seen before??
He turned his head away from it and his hand held firmly over his ear that was facing her out of some sort of instinct. He pointed his wand, shutting his eyes. As a scream that sounded much like a Mandrake's rang throughout the room, he started shouting, "R-riddikulus!" Nothing happened and he shouted again, his voice cracking slightly. "Riddikulus!!"
This time it worked, the screaming cut off suddenly and the figure collapsed, turning into a sheet with a black kitten rolling around in it. He opened his eyes to take in what it had turned into as it retreated to the trunk again. He then turned around, rushing out of the room, grabbing his bag on the way out.

Re: Second years, third lesson: the Boggart
Haley grit her teeth as the different fears showed themselves to her fellow students. She then stepped forward with a deep frown, not sure what her fear would be. She saw Parker leave the room and she started stressing. The boggart moved in the box and then appeared a tall woman with black, bushy hair.
Sally Swandeth, the killer.
Haley felt anger and fear well up in her, but the anger was so strong that she could rely on that. She pointed her wand at the woman, wanting to see her in a cage at Azkaban, going even crazier than she already was.
"RIDIKULUS!" she yelled, anger and hate strong in her voice.
Swandeth was held back as a cage locked around her, unable to move in the slightest, images of dementors around her.
The boggart then returned to the box, and Haley dashed out of the classroom to find Parker.

Re: Second years, third lesson: the Boggart
Lucia frowned as Parker left the classroom, but couldn't leave as the boggart came out again. When Haley defeated it, the girl ran out after Parker, so Lucia didn't stress. She then looked at the clock, and saw that they were on overtime.
She walked in front of the other students, and the boggart saw her. It shifted into a man with wolf-like features. Lucia frowned. She hadn't thought he had had such an impact on her as to take over her worst fear. But she pointed her wand at it.
"Riddikulus," she said calmly, and the spell hit, the boggart blowing into several pieces.
She turned to the class. "That's all we had time for today, sorry everyone. For homework, I would like you to give me a 50 word summary of what you learned this lesson, and for those who didn't get to face their fear, please tell me what it is and how you would've defeated it. Also, I have a question about next lesson to you. In the homework, please tell me if you would mind having a succubus come and tell us what it is like and what they are. A succubus is a demon, but they're not necessarily cruel, though they've got an instinctive nature. You'll be safe, of course, our headmistress has been kind enough to chose to be here should you agree to this. So add a 'yes' or a 'no' to the succubus and whether you want to learn more about them. Maybe add a question that we can ask her," Lucia said softly.
"Class dismissed."
