Lesson Three - First Years

Vikki was contemplating the benefits of camomile tea when she was told that she needed to go and cover lessons, which she was surprisingly okay about since it meant that she didn't have to be surrounded by those annoying brooms and have to clean them when she really didn't want to.

So now she sat behind the desk, looking into her tea cup and absentmindedly swirling the spoon around inside it, waiting for the students to arrive for classes and to learn about 'Defense'.

Alexandra walked toward her next class, Defence. This was the one class she was most excited about she saw the professor sitting at her desk she gave the professor a small smile and walked into the classroom, she sat down at one of desks that were in the back.

Casey enters the defence classroom interested to see what this class was like, since she didn't get to this class last semester.

Yeva was terribly upset today, she missed her family terribly and had just discovered that a fellow Muhe student had let her cat Alexander out and no one has been able to find him. Sighing as she walked into the class she found an empty seat and sat down, tears welling in her eyes.

Vikki looked up and saw that there were some student there from her flying class and smiled jovially at them, seeing that one looked a little upset Vikki stood up and went to sit down on the floor by her desk, smiling now more softly at the girl;

"Are you okay? You look a bit upset, would you like some tea? That always makes me feel a lot better, if you need to, you can come and speak to me any time, although I'm not your head of house."

Now standing up she addressed the whole class and smiled in her usual dreamy way;

"I guess today we will be looking at how we can use certain potions and spells to defend ourselves, can you think of any yourself?"

Alexandra raised her hand a little nervously, she sighed hoping she'll get the answer right.
" Professor, One spell I can think of is Protego?" Alexandra said a little nervously she didn't know why she was nervous, she just was.

Vikki turned to the student who had just offered up an answer and she smiled happily, nodding her head, that was indeed the main spell that wizards tended to use to keep themselves safe in a fight, although it did not deflect everything.

"Well done, 5 points to Geschick, protego is the main spell that is used in wizard duelling, can you think of any others that could be used, perhaps to disguise rather than for use in direct attacks?"

Alex smiled but she couldn't think of any spells all she could think of was a potion. She raised her hand, again.

" I know Polyjuice potion changes your Apperence, and if you're a metamorphmagus" Alex said a little dissapointed in herself. " But there are a few spells but I can't remember them, Professor" Alex said still a bit dissapointed, she could've sworen her father used one once she sighed a little.

Viktoria saw that it was the same girl that had offered the answer before, she seemed to know a lot about Defense and she thought that she would make a really good student for the lucky Professor who took over.

Nodding her head with a contented smile she couldn't help but want to give the girl even more points.

"Well done again! Another 5 points for you, the charm that you might have been looking for is the glamour charm, used to change the appearence of the person you cas it on."

Vikki looked up at the clock and hummed:

"Hmm, class dismissed."
