Lesson Three - First Years Empty Lesson Three - First Years

Post by Viktoria Steinburg Wed Mar 14, 2012 4:12 am

Vikki was contemplating the benefits of camomile tea when she was told that she needed to go and cover lessons, which she was surprisingly okay about since it meant that she didn't have to be surrounded by those annoying brooms and have to clean them when she really didn't want to.

So now she sat behind the desk, looking into her tea cup and absentmindedly swirling the spoon around inside it, waiting for the students to arrive for classes and to learn about 'Charms'.

It was then that Vikki realised that she had no idea what to teach, Charms being a class she never took and began to frantically look around for some teaching notes.

Marianne entered the classroom and with a quick glance noticed she was the first to enter. She kept her mask on to give none of her emotions away and took you her books. Leaning back in her chair she waited for others to come so class could begin. Remembering that the professor was there she turned to her and started evaluating her. Eh, she seemed okay enough.

Eilee entered the classroom and sat at a desk while she played with her quill. She sat criss-crossed at her desk when she decided that she was infinitely bored. So she took out a piece of paper and began sketching a dragon with large wings imprinted with extreme detail.

Alice enters the Charms class. Looking around, she found three students and a nice looking teacher, small class so far, which she would like considering the size of her other classes or the scaryness of the teachers.

Lesson Three - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - First Years

Post by Annika Bauermeister Fri Mar 16, 2012 7:06 am

Curious about today's lesson, Annika tried to think of what they'd learned last time. She had been so nervous finding that she didn't seem to know anything compaired to her classmates that she couldn't really remember much. Walking in and looking around she noticed someone new at the front of the room. "I hope it's not a trick to see if we remembered something that we should. I just can't pick out a charmed item that often yeat. Mama always said it was l weakness of mine, this charms thing. Oh, well, she appears to be nicer than some of the other professors here."
Taking a seat she took a deep breathe and decided to work really hard and do her best. No one could fault her for that. But then she didn't want the others to think she was campaining to be teachers favorite either.

Lesson Three - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - First Years

Vikki saw that the class was here and she stood up from behind the desk, she knew nothing about charms and wondered just what they would be taught today, sighing softly there was one spell that she did know and she thought it would be good to teach them.

"Good morning class, my name is Vikki and I will be subbing this class until a permenant professor can be found."

With her normal dreamy smile she handed out a fairy cake to each of the students in the class, placing it on their desk and returning to the center of the classroom, taking her wand out she pointed it at her desk, making sure to complete the proper wand movements, she levitated it.

"I don't know if you have learnt this spell already, but it is wingardium leviosa, and it is used to levitate or lift heavy objects, your lesson objective is to levitate the fairy cake in front of you, if you manage to do so you can eat it."

Vikki repeated the wand movements to show the class; "Remember swish and flick."

Lesson Three - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - First Years

Post by Annika Bauermeister Tue Mar 20, 2012 4:05 am

Annika was excited about the challenge, especially the reward for accomplishing it. She watched carefully as the professor was talking , hoping to remember the correct way to hold and move the wand. Boy, did she want to get her fairy cake. In a hurry to feed Emmi and finish up her reading Annika had hardly eaten before coming to class. A fairy cake would be just the thing, if it was as good as Frau Schild's. Thoughts returned to Butzweiler and her mama. They still hadn't let her know if the baby was born and it was time. She was afraid something had happened and she wouldn't be told the truth.

"Wingaurdium Leviosa" she quietly said as she moved her wand in what she thought was correct direction. The fairy cake teetered a little then slowly started to dissolve. Frightened and embarrassed, Annika raised her hand, "Miss? Professor? I think I have a problem. What did I do wrong?"

Her face getting red and hot, Annika watched as what she had hoped for as a snack quickly ran into a puddle on the floor.

Vikki saw that there was one of the students having a small problem and she tilted her head to one side as the cake began to dissolve on the floor, it was something new to Vikki but she knew what the girl had done wrong.

Humming slightly she waved her own wand and the mess was quickly cleaned, with a cheerful smile, Vikki opened the door to the classroom as she explained:

"You didn't do the wand movements correctly I don't think, you should practice them when you are on your own, but not with the incantaition, was don't want anything else melting ow do we."

With a small sile Vikki turned to the class and said;

"Class dismissed."

Lesson Three - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - First Years

Post by Annika Bauermeister Thu Mar 22, 2012 9:55 pm

"Thank you miss, I am so ashamed. I haven't been concentrating well today, and I guess my mind was wandering. I will practice and try to better next lesson. " Annika quietly spoke to the professor as she stood to gather her things. " And I do promise I won't do the incantation unless I am in class. You know, just in case. Oh, and do you know when owl post comes? My mama is having a new baby any day and I haven't heard anything from home?" Embarassed

Realizing she was telling her PROFESSOR her personal story, Annika mumbled an apology and swiftly ducked out of the room without waiting for an answer. "Annika you truely are a Fleischkopf! You know better than talk about family things with others." Crying or Very sad

Rushing down the hall she made her way into the loo and slid down the wall until she was sitting on the floor, her forehead on her knees.
