Lesson One - Third Years Empty Lesson One - Third Years

Post by Cobalt Smith Tue Apr 17, 2012 1:38 am

Cobalt sat at his desk, cleaning out one of his pistols. To make sure that every single part was as clean as it possibly could be, Cobalt had disassembled the pistol and was cleaning it's individual parts on top of his desk. Of course he had some detection charms put up to warn him when the students were arriving so that he wasn't caught off guard when they suddenly walked in. The last time he'd been caught off guard like that he'd already thrown three throwing knives before realising it was just his Sixth Year class.

Lesson One - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Third Years

Haley walked into the Infiltration classroom calmly and gave a nod to professor Smith before sitting down in the front as she usually did. She then pulled up her books and put her wand on the desk. She wondered what they'd do today, and hoped it'd be very interesting; she was starting to feel a bit tired.

Lesson One - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Third Years

Charlotte hurried into the classroom and she smiled at the Proffessor, it had been a while since she had seen them all after all, and some of them hadnt even come to the ball, like Professor Henley, and she wondered why for a moment, although she quickly banished it from her mind.

Walking over to her usual seat, Charlotte sat down and she got out all of the things that she needed for the lesson today, hoping it would be fun and she ignored her Papa, angry for what he had done at the ball, it had embarrassed her so much, and had made older Char feel awful.

Lesson One - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Third Years

Post by Tess McCartney Tue Apr 17, 2012 2:50 am

Tess sighed as she entered class. It was a bittersweet feeling to return to classes , for one thingbt was school! On the other hand she became more knowledgeable about magic.

This is what she repeated to herself to remind herself why she woke up so early in the morning, something she hadn't done since last year. Walking in, she quietly walked towards her desk smiling at the two girls there before sitting down in her spot.

Parker sighed as he made his way into the class. He furrowed his eyebrows a bit, seeing the prof. cleaning out a gun. Parker's footsteps slowed a bit and he took the nearest seat in the back. There was still something about that man he didn't quite trust or like. He knew it was probably nothing, but he couldn't shake it.

He set his bag on the desk and folded his arms on the table, wondering what they'd be going over this class.

Lesson One - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Third Years

Post by Airen Auditoren Tue Apr 17, 2012 9:07 am

Airen walked into the classroom. He remembered the ball well, and for that, he felt sort of wary of this lesson. He remembered Charlotte seemed upset that Cobalt was getting close with the succubus, Raziel. He, personally, didn't know what to think. Sure he was wary of Raziel, but he trusted Cobalt's judgement. As for Charlotte, Airen understood that she was protective of her adopted father, so it was natural that she didn't want people too close to him.

Brushing his thoughts aside, Airen slid into the seat next to Charlotte, hoping to give her some comfort. He laid a gentle hand on her shoulder and sent her a small smile. He got out his note-taking material and readied himself for the lesson.

Cobalt noticed the tension in the air. It was obviously coming from both him and Charlotte. It seemed that his daughter did not approve of his decision to go after Raziel and the consequences of it. His younger self was also... upset. Angry was a better term but that made him seem like he was a self-hating person,

"Today I'm going to ask you a few questions. Why?" he looked over his class, "Because the subject of today... is know your enemy! You must know your enemy as well as he knows himself. Now... who can name five towns and cities in Germany?"

Tess raised her hand tentatively at his question. He seemed a bit tense, but well she wanted to actually say something for this class. She'd never uttered a word and felt it was time.

"Five of the most populated cities in Germany are: Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, and Frankfurt am Main" she then added five towns if needed be "Bismark, Bitburg, Crivitz, Greiz, and Jever."

She had read about a lot of them through the newspapers.

Post by Charlotte Smith Thu Apr 19, 2012 2:11 am

Charlotte heard that today they were going to be talking about Germany and she smiled when she thought about her friend Viktor who lived there, she was glad that they had become closer, and she carefully neglected to tell her Papa about hoe close they had become, after all, he was busy with demons, she was busy with her friend, who just so happened to be German.

She did not however like it when he reffered to him as an enemy. Staying quiet, even if she knew the answer to the question, Tess had already given it and she wasn't going to seem like a know it all so she just looked at the desk and refused to look directly at Cobalt.

Victoria walked into class. She wasn't going to try to sneak in, not with Professor Smith teaching. She'd just be embarrassed. "Sorry, Professor."

She grabbed a seat next to Tess right before she answered a question. Hearing her talk about Germany made Victoria remember he trip there. She had met a very nice boy there and was hoping that he would write.

He'd brought up a good point. What was this war really about? She didn't want to interrupt the lesson with her questions, so kept them to herself.

Cobalt could see something was different about Charlotte's body language when he mentioned Germans as the enemy. The girl was too attached to that Nickel man to realise that the Germans were at war with them. And not all of them were as 'nice' as Viktor. He nodded at Tess,

"A good answer Tess. Five points to Slytherin." he paused for a second before asking another question of the class, "Who can tell me what the German word for 'town' is?"

Charlotte raised her hand, she knew the answer, she had had to leanr some German when she had been to see Viktor, and this was one of the most useful words to know, after all, it was on most of the road signs and it gave you a good indication as to where you were going;

"Stadt." she said simply, and without raising her hand "Although there are different words used in different situations I believe."

Leshia was going to try out a new class this year and what a way to make a impression and that was by being late.

She slipped into the back of the classroom and took a seat, it looked like they were talking about Germany.

Charlotte got the answer right but he wasn't really too surprised. She had reasons to like Germany. And even without those reasons she could have just as easily learnt it from Richard. He nodded,

"Correct. Five points to Slytherin." he pointed at Leshia, "Miss Prewett you are late. Answer me this question of find your house ten points down. Not really a question, more of an order. Count from one to ten in German."

Leshia was so embarrassed when the professor called on her to count to 10 in German. Sure the one language she was really rusty on but she went ahead and tried it out. Of course with her accent she had trouble pronouncing the words properly.

"Eins Zwei Drei Veir Funf sechs Sieben acht Neun Zehn" She hoped she got them all.

Leshia swore at that point she would never be late again.
