A Trip to the Past
Katrina was excited to finally be in England. Even with a war going on and imminate death almost certain, it was still good to be somewhere where she finally felt accepted. After a previous day dedicated to unpacking and getting her new quarters set up she decided to visit the graveyard and see her parents. So she began walking the long path to Hogsmeade village so she could apparate. Once she arrived outside the village she spun on her heel and dissappeared with a small crack.
She reappeared, a short time later, in a small and rundown cemetary. The sun was just setting in this part of the world and she knew that she didn't have a lot of time to find the graves of her parents. Walking along the dirt path that winded like a snake through the old and crumbling tombstones she finally found what she was looking for.
The pure white marble glinted like diamonds in the fading sunlight. Katrina reached inside the pocket of her cloak and pulled out her wand, glancing around to make sure that no one was watching. She waved the wand and a boquet of white roses appeared. White roses were her mother's favorite flower. Katrina bent down and laid the flowers at the base of the tombstone, her eyes were running across the almost faded words on the tombstone of her mother. "Death is but the next big adventure" a quote from some muggle movie that her mother was fond of. Katrina's greenish blue eyes looked over at the other tombstone that belonged to her father and her eyes narrowed into a glare. It was all his fault that both of them were there in the first place.
Sighing, Katrina stood up and walked away from the graves of her parents toward the wrought iron gate of the cemetary. She knew that this trip had been a mistake but she had needed to come here for some sort of closure. She glanced briefly over her shoulder and then apparated back to England, her one true home.
