New Year, New start (Open)

Leshia had a busy week this week and she loved it, she was making new friends left and right. She was really excited because she had met a boy earlier today out by the lake.

She had put everything in place the minute she got here she had heard they were integrating the dorms this year so she was excited to see who was going to be her roommate. She was hoping that Keiba would be in it again but she did not know.

Sitting on her bed reading a book patiently or impatiently to see who would come in.

Senium walked, albeit stiffly into the dorm room, she had thought that she would be in a room of only first years, but it turned out that there was not enough beds for her in those dorms, so she was now sharing with the older years, feeling more than a little intimidated, Senium hoped that the dorm room would be empty while she placed her belongings away.

Almost groaning internally when she saw that it was not, Senium blushed a little bit and shuffled as quietly as possible into the room, holding her case in front of her, and placing it down on top of an empty bed, sending a small shy smile to the girl who seemed to be reading.

Leshia looked up when she heard the door open up and she had been surprised that the person that joined her room was a first year, not that bothered her she had lots of younger friends. Leshia liked everyone.

"Hi, welcome to the room, I am Leshia." Leshia hopped off of the bed and went over to shake the girls hand

Senium smile grew a little bit when she saw the girl hop off the bed and come to talk to her, it was always nice to meet new people, but she was just a little bit nervous because she seemed to be much older than her, and she might have not been impressed with her moving into her dorm;

"Hey, thank you very much, my name is Senium Nex, it's very nice to meet you." she said with a friendly smile, shaking her hand before turning her attention to her trunk, flipping open the clasps and then opening the lid "What year are you in, you seem a lot older than I."

Leshia looked the girl over when she shook her hand she seemed really sweet. After Leshia was done she went back and sat on her bed.

"I am a third year, why does that bother you?" Leshia had hoped it wouldn't bother her, Leshia just liked having friends.

Leshia was watching the girl unpack while she was reading a book "So where are you from?"

Senium shook her head quickly with a large smile on her lips, it didn't bother her having an older friend, she was just happy to be making another friend in the first place! It was something she thought she would have difficulty doing.

"No no no, it's not a problem at all, I was just wondering if it would be annoying for you to have someone younger in with you." she smiled happily "But I'm glad I was wrong."

As she moved her books onto her beside table, Senium smoothed out some of the dust jackets and felt her smile slip a little when she was asked where she was from; "Russia, originally, but now I live in Lincolnshire. What about you?"

Leshia was playing with the book on her lap, "I believe a person can never have too many friends."

Leshia thought this girl was very sweet and she could see them becoming friends.

"I am from Liverpool myself. I have a twin sister and a little brother." Leshia smiled

"Do you have any sisters or brothers?" Leshia loved her siblings but could do without her parents.

Senium smiled broadly, she was very glad that it seemed that Leshia was going to become a friend of hers in the future, she hoped to make as many friends as possible while she was here, so that maybe in the future they would be able to call on her if they needed anything and vice versa.

"That's a very nice belief, I would like to think I believe in it too, I hope to make as many friends as possible while I'm here at Hogwarts." she smiled lightly.

Deciding that she would sit down on her bed, Senium fiddled with her mothers ring, a small smile playing on her lips; "No, I don't have any brothers or sisters unfortunately, I would like one though. A little sister is something that I always wanted. Does your twin go to Hogwarts?" she asked Leshia, wondering if they would be sharing the same dorm as each other.

Leshia was very happy to have someone to talk to finally, it had been so boring up here all alone, she just wondered where the other dorm mates were.

"Well I learned that seven years is a long time to live some where and not have many friends, it will get lonely." Leshia smiled.

When she talked about her sister she had to smile,

"No actually we are in two completely different houses. She is in Slytherin house, we may be twins but we are completely different people. Of course my family hates it and I hear about it all the time." Leshia sighed

"You would think I was a disappointment to them."

Senium giggled happily and nodded her head, she was completely correct of course, seven years was a long time to live somewhere and not have anyone to talk to, it would be so lonely, especially in a big place like this, she was only sad that they wouldn't be leaving the school at the same time.

"I can imagine it would, especially in a place as big as this, you need someone to explore it with, otherwise you'll surely get lost, or bored." she grinned.

Opening her mouth a little in surprise, Senium let it grow into a smile, it was nice to hear that she might have another potential friend in the school, she didn't really go in for not mixing with other houses, a friend was a friend no matter what badge they wore.

"Well I think that's silly, Ravenclaw is the house of wit and intelligence, they should be proud, I know my Grandpapa was, then again...he would be proud of me if the Sorting Hat rejected me completely." she laughed.

Leshia was really liking this girl, and she was beginning to wish that they were in the same level, but somethings cannot be helped.

"Well at least for the next 4 years we can become really good friends and after I graduate we still still remain friends if you want."

Leshia hoped so it would be really nice if they could. Someone to help her remain sane in a insane world. At least that is how she thought.

"I know I think it is very stupid the way my parents like, but they believe Slytherin ways are the best and I am just there for the ride."

Leshia hoped maybe one day things would be better but probably not.

"But with you around I am sure life will get better."

Senium was glad that Leshia wanted to be her friend, at least until she left, and that was something that Senium could not want enough, someone to be there for her throughout everything, when things were rough Leshia might even be able to understand what it was like.

"I would love that!" she beamed "I'm very glad to have made a good friend so fast, I hope that we manage to keep this up throughout the school years, after all we share the same bedroom."

Frowning a little bit Senium walked slowly over to Leshia with a smile on her lips, although it was not as great as before; "At least the rest of us know they're talking a load of old rubbish."

Senium nodded her head and she fist pumped the air, immediately regretting the decision, but she did not let on to the pain that had ran down her arm from the sudden movement;

"I shall try my best to make sure you're as happy as can be!"

Leshia smiled, she was finally going to have another true friend. She had been without friends since Keiba and Salina left her.

"I am sure I might have some bad habits that bother you, but if that is the case please tell me. I really don't want to scare you away." Leshia smiled at her, she really did love her name.

Leshia was a little taken back when Senium came over to her and smiled, so Leshia smiled back, "That is very true, but you might hear me vent a lot abut it. But you are always welcome to vent. I am a good listener."

Leshia just loved this girl energy and she hoped she would share it with here.
