New Year (Open)

Tabi was so excited to begin a new year. She had spent most of last year in her room or fighting with others. This year was going to be better because over the summer she got to know Ivano. What could she say about him other than she was in love and he was what she wanted.

She had gotten her area of the room all put together so she decided to sit in the common room that way she would always be available for him. She had decided that as long as she had him she did not care what anyone thought.

She curled up with a book in the chair waiting to visit with the first person that came in.

Corina walked into the common room, girls dorm. She was excited about the new school year at a new school. She was going to make the best of it. She was a first year but that wasn't going to stop her. She was going to do her best and have fun doing it.

When Corina was sorted into Slytherin she was excited. She heard a little about Hogwarts from her parents but she wanted to figure it out on her own. Looking around she moved her hand to her dagger subconsciously. It was her feeling of home. She was often found messing with the dagger when she was sad or lonely.

Seeing a person curled up with a book she wondered if she should talk to her.

Tabi heard someone come in so she looked up to see who it was. When she saw who it was she was a little disappointed but she saw that it was new meat she got a little excited...

"Welcome to Slytherin..I am the one and only Tabi" Tabi stated it rather rudely, but that's how she is.

"So who are you?" as she looked this new girl up and down.

Alcyone rubbed lightly at her wrist as she made her way through the corridors and back from her boring 'adventure' at the library. If adventure meant reading book after book after book, then yes, she had quite the adventure back in the library. She felt the air around her become stiff and cold as she descended the staircase to the dungeons.

She walked up to the portrait and mumbled the password, stepping through once it swung open to admit her. She looked around the common room and let a sigh escape her lips. She pulled the sleeve of her school robes back and felt tears prick her eyes as she stared at the words 'Blood Traitor' branded on her skin. She let her sleeve fall down as she made her way up to the girls dorms.

The door swung open to admit her, and she paused momentarily at the two girls already there. "Hello."

Zara made her way up from the common room to the girl's dorms. She swung the door open to find three other slytherin girls there already. "Uh....hi. I'm Zara. Hope i'm not interrupting anything" She said shyly.

She examined the three girls as she stood at the door, sensing a bit of arrogance within a certain girl. Zara noticed that Tabi looked a bit displeased with the fact that other girls had intruded. Then again, Zara didn't know Tabi, so she thought that it could possibly be something else.

"Hello I'm Corina Lavonne. Nice to meet you" She then sat on the floor. She looked at everyone who came in and nodded to them. She knew she should do her homework but she didn't feel like it at the moment. She shrugged to herself and looked at Tabi and everyone else.

"Well, welcome Corina." Tabi smiled at her, maybe she could have another friend in the house. Her slytherin friends were pretty slim in fact the only one she had was Tess and Ivano.

"So where are you from Corina?" Tabi wondered

Tabi was looking over her notes and decided she really didn't want to do any homework anyway it wasn't very interesting.

Smiling Cori answered "I was born in England but I live in Scotland now." She shrugged and looked curious at Tabi "What about you? Where are you from?" She hoped she would make a friend.

Kicking her bag away Cori knew she would stay up late to study and do any homework. She didn't mind she liked the night.

Tabi really like this girl, maybe it would give her something to do besides worrying about her sister.

"Well I current live in Liverpool. My father runs a apothecary in the underwater wizarding village there."

Tabi thought about it, it was nice to be making new friends.

"I was born in London." Tabi put down the book she had

"So Cori, what do you like to do for fun?"

Ebony walked into the Slytherin Girls dorms and walked into her dorm, she looked around and saw her owl Ashes, smiling and walking to the cage. She opened it and Ashes flew straight onto her shoulder, she stroked his soft feathers gently. "What do you think this school will be like? shall we make some trouble?" she whispered quietly to the owl on her shoulder who cooed softly in response. "I thought you'd agree" she smirked before putting the bird back in its cage and going down stairs to the common room to look around.

She saw a group of girls and tentatively walked over to them.

"Hey" she smiled shyly, hoping to make at least one friend here, she wasn't great with meeting new people though. She bite her lip softly, it was a habit she had when she was shy or... any time really.

Tabi was waiting for Rina to answer when she noticed another new student walk into their common room. She sure hoped that Tess didn't mind another new person. Tabi was starting to fill a little closed in with all the people but that is ok she will deal.

"Hello, and who are you?" Tabi said kind of snippy because that is how she is.

"Hey... Um... I'm Ebony..." she replied, a little nervous, she didn't really like knew people and the girl sat in front of her didn't really seem to want to talk so she thought she should go, she didn't want to be in the way or annoy anyone on her first couple of days in a new school.
