Lesson Three - Third Years

Darcie smiled gently as she walked into her friends classroom, she was more than a little worried about him because she had not seen them since they had met for the first time, she hoped that he was not taken ill with anything.

Biting her lip she looked up at the entrance to the lesson, she hoped that he would be alright.

Waiting for the students to arrive, Darcie picked up the chalk and she wrote what they would be learning today on the board in the classroom;

'Demonology'

And underneath it;

'From last lesson, true name spells are spells that are used in order to command a person, many wizards take a different name in order to avoid having true name spells being used against them as they cannot easily be broken and the hold once taken is absolute, the caster can make you perform any action he or she desires.'

Lucian walked into the lesson, he was very pleased with how it had gone last time, after all they had actually been taught and not just left to get on with their own devices. They had actually gone over an area of Dark Arts that was interesting too.

Seeing the same professor was covering the lesson, he smiled gently at her and nodded, glad to be able to be taught by her again. Taking out his equipment he noted down the conclusion from last lesson she had put on the board with a small hum.

Vlad hurried to his lesson, he didn't want to be late and he knew that he had been a little too absorbed in looking into his orgins of his tattoo, it seemed that it had been done in a parlor in Berlin, although that didn't help much because it was such a wide space and people visited all the time.

It was definately a start though. Smiling lightly at the Professor and other students already in the class, he waited for the lesson to begin.

Darcie smiled happily when she saw the people there in her class, they were looking as if they were keen to see what they would be learning which made all the effort that she had gone through worth it, unable to stop her smile she stepped in front of the two students.

"Hello there, today we are going to be learning about demonology, do you have any idea about any types of demons?I'm sure I could give some housepoints for some correct types of demons that you suggest, don't be afraid to get it wrong."

Melissa was glad to get her weeks lessons started, she had been kind of bored. She had met a new guy and had been spending time with him in the hospital, but man was he cute.

Walking into Dark arts she cursed herself on the inside when she discovered she was late. She thought she was on time, well dang it.

Missy looked around and took her seat. The teacher had asked a question about demons and Missy wondered about he thoughts.

"Well some people would consider Vampires demons. I believe it is all in a persons perception. Or a demon could be someone directly from hell."

Vlad knew something about demons, after all he had read a book on demonology in the library simply because it had a passage on dragons in it, as some species of them were considered demons, especially the darker ones with the less kindly temprements;

"I believe that there are such things as succubus and incubus, they are sleep demons that influence dreams. Also there are many other demons, such as the Kratich, and the gargoyle."

Lucian couldnt help but smirk when the boy in front of him managed to give the type of demon that he was, although he was wrong in thinking that he was only able to place his influence on people while they slept, it was only strongest then.

Deciding that he would cheat a little and use his knowledge, Lucian raised his hand and he smirked when he was called upon to answer;

"There are demons called the hounds of hell, that have the appearence of dogs, but there are also many other demons such as ghouls and death wings."

Terry was running very late for class. He had got held up with Lehrer Browning about his sister he was glad that she was back, even though they would not give him any details about that.

Running into the class he noticed that is was already started so he went and took a seat net too Missy. She obviously was not thinking today when she answered Vampires as a demon.

Terry noticed the other people in the class answering so he just sat there and listened.

Darcie couldn't believe the amount of answers that she recieved, she was over the moon and she wanted to award housepoints to everyone but she knew however that Vampires was not a correct answer, but she wondered how to tell the student nicely...

"Well done everyone! You all contributed excellently, although a vampire is not techinically a demon, it's only a creature, but well done for trying to answer at least. 10 points to Verstand and 10 points to Muhe."

Frowning a little when the boy came in late Darcie pointed a finger at him in a jokingly accusing manner; "And you young man have just lost your house 10 points for your lateness. Please will you give me one danger of any of the demons that were just mentioned?"

Terry sighed a little, he hated loosing points for his house, but worse he hated getting called on to answer a question.

"Well the one I can think of is the succubus, demon in female form, said to have sexual intercourse with men in their sleep."

Terry knew there was more to the tale but was not sure of much. "I imagine she killed them in their sleep if she wants too."

Darcie nodded her head when the student offered up an answer it was the correct one and she calmed down a little bit, he had been late and it upset her a little, but he had redeemed himself with the correct answer.

"Well done! Many books on demonology speak about succubus demons doing that while people are asleep, they infiltrate your dreams and while they are giving you your hidden most desires they feed on your magical energy." she said with a joking evil cackle afterwards.

"There are however signs you can have tattooed on your body to stop such attacks if you really are bothered by the idea, although it's highly unlikely such demons actually exist. Let alone want to feed on students dreams."

Looking at the time Darcie pouted; "Seems time is up, thank you for your attentions and focus this lesson. Class dismissed."
