Lesson Three - Third Years Empty Lesson Three - Third Years

Post by Richard Romain Tue May 15, 2012 2:55 am

Richard whistled happily as he stood around waiting for his class to arrive. His little baby girl, Raven, had been born a few weeks ago and he was the happiest father in the world. He was sure most fathers thought that way but none were correct other than him. He chuckled a little bit as he wrote the lesson direction on the board.

Water conjuration and transfiguration.

Lesson Three - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Third Years

Tess walked in with a small grin. She loved this class, after all the professor was her mentor. As she passed his desk and smiled and told the Professor

"Congratulations" then walked to sit down on her desk.

He looked a lot cheerier than usual, and she figured it meant the class would be lively. She simply waited for the class to arrive so the lesson would start.

Charlotte was worried that she was going to be late to the lesson, so she hurried up from her common room to get there, but when she arrived it hadn't even started. Humming a little, Charlotte decided to just take this as a mixed blessing and sat down in her seat, taking out her textbook and beginning to look over it like the others were doing, sending a smile to Richard Charlotte knew why he was so happy, and she would hopefully be able to see the baby soon enough.

Airen walked into the classroom. He looked up at the board and read the lesson's topic. He idly wondered what would happen today. He'd heard that the Headmistress had given birth to a child. He would've congratulated the two if he was their age, but he wasn't. So he'd just give them silent congratulations.

"Good afternoon, Professor," he greeted in his Italian accent. He took a seat next to Charlotte and sent her a warm smile.

Lesson Three - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Third Years

Tabi walked into Transfiguration class and saw that Tess was already in the class, she wondered if she should just go sit with her.

Tabi went ahead and sat by Tess, why not she thought she had no one else to sit with.

"Hey Tess, I hope it is ok if I sit here." Tabi smiled, "If not I can move."

Tabi looked at the board and noticed Water conjuration and transfiguration and wondered what that was going to be about.

Lesson Three - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - Third Years

Post by Humphrey Williams Thu May 17, 2012 3:59 am

As Humphrey Williams walked into the Transfiguration classrom he was the most nervous he had been that day. Transfiguration was probably the most difficult subject, and he had missed over a year of instruction. He was a quick learner, and generally did well in this class. But, he knew that he had more catching up to do in this class than probably any other.

He looked around the room, and noticed Airen and Charlotte sitting together. So, that must mean they are still together. Surprisingly, he didn't feel any of his old jealousy about the two of them. Which shocked him, since he had previously tried to win Charlotte Smith's heart. He was happy for them though, both of them were great people. And, he thought, they make a good couple.

Since he was so far behind, he knew that he needed to pay very close attention. Because of that, he sat directly in front of the teacher's desk. "Hello Professor Romain." he said quietly as he took his seat. Today's lesson was on water conjuration and transfiguration he noted, as he pulled out his book.

Victoria walked quickly to class and was happy to arrive before the lesson started. She took the seat on the other side of Tess.

Trying to attract as little attention as possible she discretely gathered her things for the lesson. Once calmed down enough to look around she was surprised to see the professor in a happy mood. Hmm.

Turning to face Tabi she let out a smile and shook her head.

"Of course you can sit here" she said softly.

She noticed that Humphrey's was now in her class and she tilted her head in curiosity. Where was he before, in her opinion he'd gone off the radar since...first year. Oh well, at least he was back.

A wider smile appeared on her face seeing Victoria. She was worried about her condition but she knew that Victoria could face it very easily. So she simply patted her hand and knew she'd stand up if necessary.

Parker walked into class, glad to see he wasn't late. As he went to go take his seat and he set his bag on the table he read the board. He sat down, thinking of Pyxis. He'd seen her play around with the water with her magic before and he wondered just what they would be doing..

Post by Richard Romain Sun May 20, 2012 12:23 am

Richard smiled at his class and nodded to those who knew of his recent fatherhood. Moving to the front of the class he smiled at them,

"Alright class today I'm going to teach you how to conjure water." he held up his hands, "Now before anyone gets on at me that you can already make water through Charms... I'm teaching you how to draw water out of the air around you by condensing water vapour."

He rolled his neck a little bit,

"The wand motions are simple. Two clockwise turns followed by a single flick forwards. Please practice this now."

Knowing the routine, she smiled slightly and as usual copied his movements. She figured it was something she was used to through their apprenticeship, and copied his movements. She began to move her wand as he had said.

"Two clockwise turns followed by a single flick forwards" she repeated to herself in a murmur "Two clockwise turns, one flick forward"

It seemed simple enough, where she could simply do it without worrying over it. Waiting for further instruction.

Airen watched as the professor gave the wand movements to the class. He watched them intently. He memorized them to where they were burned into his brain. His wand was in his hand a few seconds after the professor finished speaking.

The two clockwise turns were simple enough due to Airen picturing a clock in his head. He flicked his wand forward sharply. Feeling confident in the movements, he did this four more time and waited for more instructions.

Victoria was excited to learn this spell. It was a rather interesting idea, being able to manipulate water.

After jotting down notes on how to perform it, she took the time to practice both the word and the wand movements separately. Soon she was waiting for the go ahead to actually do the spell.

Tabi listened to Professor Romain as he talked about the new spell he was talking about. Making water out the air was very interesting and she could not wait to try.

She was working on the wand movements, two clockwise turns followed by a single flick forward.

It was pretty easy movement.
