Lesson Three - First Years Empty Lesson Three - First Years

The Doctor was inside the underground classroom doing something he didn't usually do; chin ups. They were great for the upper body and The Doctor felt that a strong upper body was needed for a wizard as their arms would have to be capable of moving at high speeds in intricate patterns. The learning objective was on the board.

Lesson Three - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - First Years

This was the class Wolfram had been looking forward to. It was challenging, useful, mysterious, and most of all, it was something that he really was interested in. Runes were everywhere in history. And there were spells that could only be worked in runes or would make stronger when using them. So of course he made sure that he got there as early as he dared.

Entering the classroom he stared at his instructor then quickly took a seat and looked up at the board. Seeing what it was, the boy wondered what they'd be using the rune for or if they would in the class. Opening his book, he looked through it to refresh his memory and to see what exactly that particular rune did. Occasionally he'd look up from his book to glance at his teacher curiously before returning his attention to his book but keeping an ear out and eye out.

Lesson Three - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - First Years

Besides Soothsaying, Christielle was eager to learn Ancient Runes. As she walked in, she looked at the instructor for a while, then went to one of the chairs. This time, she didn't groan at the sight of the boy from the lake. She was very used to this, having bumped into him a couple of times.

Christielle looked up at the board. The locking rune. She nodded to herself and flipped her book open. She read through one of the pages for a while, and continued searching for the proper page related to their lesson. She looked up, thinking she heard some footsteps. She shrugged, and her eyes spotted the instructor once more. He was doing some chin ups.

Though she was curious why he was doing that, Christielle looked back at her book and continued reading.

Lesson Three - First Years Empty Re: Lesson Three - First Years

The Doctor dropped from the bar he'd been doing his chin ups on and rolled his arms a little bit at the shoulders to loosen his muscles back up a little bit. He waved to his class,

"Yo!"

Moving to the front of the class he handed the students each a wooden box that was held closed by a small metal latch. He demonstrated how easy it was to open the latch,

"Very easy to open the box right? Not by the end of the lesson." he moved up to the blackboard, "Each of you should have a craft knife on your table. Use them to scratch two squares surrounding a circle. Then push a small amount of magic into the symbol to create a locking rune."

Christielle looked up when the Instructor suddenly spoke. As he handed them some wooden boxes, she examined hers. She watched carefully as he demonstrated how to open the latch, which was very easy.

As the Instructor finished speaking, Christielle put down her box. "Two squares surrounding a circle. Right." she thought.
