Entering the classroom she knew her class was going to be small, so she simply put on the board.

"Boil Cure"

Seemed simple enough and she simply waited for the class to arrive.

Carly walked into the classroom and took her seat. She saw what was written on the board and so she thought back to last lesson and took out the notes she had made.

Then Carly sat and waited for the other members of the class to enter.

Iola skipped happily into the Potions classroom. She loved Potions and couldn't wait for this lesson. Seeing the words on the board, she pulled out her textbook and started to read through the notes she made in the margins.

Seeing two students had entered she figured she should start her lesson lest waist time. She let out a small smile to her students and closed the doors.

"Welcome to lesson three of Potions, once more I am Professor Valentine your Potioneer"

Walking over towards her cauldron she tilted it slightly to show the coloring.

"I know that first years potions are never very exciting, but rather mundane, but I do hope you realize the implications that with one simply potion, you will be one step closer to creating something much more complicated."

Clearing her throat.

"Can each of you tell me an ingredient of this potion?"

Iola raised her hand so quickly that it was lucky no one was sat next to her, otherwise she might have accidentally hit them in the face.
"The ingredients are: dried nettles, crushed snake fangs, stewed horned slugs and porcupine quills." She smiled excitedly.

Carly opened her mouth to speak but then closed it again, realising there were no more ingredients. She thought she might have looked a bit like a fish.

Not wanting to look like she didn't know about the poiton, Carly said "you also have to wave your wand before leaving the poition to brew, and then again at the end to complete the poition". When she had finished speaking, Carly wondered if waving the wand really was an ingrediant, or just part of the method.

Angel nodded towards her students.

"Good, ten points each" she said smiling.

Walking towards the board she snapped and the ingredients for the potion appeared.

Ingredients

Dried nettles
6 snake fangs
4 horned slugs
2 porcupine quills

Instructions

1) Add 6 snake fangs to the mortar.
2) Crush into a fine powder using the pestle.
3) Add 4 measures of the crushed fangs to your cauldron.
4) Heat the mixture to 250 for 10 seconds.
5) Wave your wand.
6) Leave to brew and return in 45 minutes.
7) Add 4 horned slugs to your cauldron.
8 ) Take the cauldron off the fire before adding the next ingredient.[1]
9) Add 2 porcupine quills to your cauldron.
10) Stir 5 times, clockwise.
11) Wave your wand to complete the potion.

"Now you may work together or work apart, that is your choice, begin!"

Iola looked at the other student before speaking.
"Which would you prefer?" She asked, knowing that she could do it on her own but learning to work with someone else would be good.
