Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
Another year with her students. She knew this class year pretty well, some over achieved, some barely even tried and relied on their partners and others had a sour puss the whole time. She figured that's just how it was. And she understood, after all they were forced to take this class.
Sitting down in her chair, she waited for her students to enter.

Re: Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
Sam walked to potions she wasn't nervous she hoped she didn't have another allergic reaction to any of the potions, Sam sighed and walked into the potions classroom. Sam nodded to the Professor and she walked toward her desk in the back.
Sam wondered how many students would show up, Sam shook her head and she waited for the class to start.

Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
Teresa enter the dungeon. So excited for Potions class. She must have arrived early because there was only the professor and Sam again. She puffed her cheeks.
"People should get to class earlier," she said, sitting down.

Re: Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
Damien was ready for potions to start up again he had waited all summer just to get back at it. He could not wait until next year when he could do and apprenticeship.
Walking into class he did not see Tessa yet, and she had promised him if he took the classes she wanted that she would at least take potions with him. As long as she was his partner they seem to do just fine.
He picked out a table and set up the supplies and waited for Tessa and the class to arrive.

Tessa had walked into the classroom with Yasmina. She was excited that she was in her second year. And she promised Damien that she would take this class. Last year she got by barely with Potions.
She then just stood there waiting for Damien.

Xander strolled into class, genuinely excited for this class. He had felt like he had done well last year and was looking forward to learning new potions.
Taking a seat near the front he got out his materials and looked around. He hadn't seen Luke all day and was curious where he'd gone off to.

Re: Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
He seriously hoped he wasn't late. Potions did bring him some excitement because it ranged in different areas. Walking in, he sighed in relief seeing only a few there and sat beside his cousin Xander. He knew that he would be wondering where he was, but in reality he seemed to have lost time trying to sketch some natural settings and forgot about classes.
"Don't ask" he murmured to him.

Re: Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
Damien heard Yaz come into the classroom so he knew that Tessa was also there. He knew she would have no clue where he was, you would like after all these months that Yaz would know him well enough to bring her to him.
Walking over to Tessa, "I have us set up over here." he said as he lead her over to the table. "You would think we have been together long enough Yaz would know where I am and bring you to me." Damien sighed.
"Nothing has happened yet so your not that late."

Tessa then started to laugh. " Yeah I know. But at least she still remembered where the classroom was. She is a little bit rusty since she had the summer away from you."
She smiled as Damien led her over to a table. " So did she say what we are doing?"
Tessa was glad that she wasn't late.

Re: Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
Seeing that some students had entered she figured that she could begin the lesson. Standing up she walked towards the board and waved her wand for the words of their next lesson to appear.
"Welcome, I see the same faces, and I have to say I hope you are passionate about this subject or have a flair for this year it will be much more difficult than before." she said.
Sitting down on the desk she figured she'd relax a bit.
"Now, despite all that I hope you come with an open mind, and steady hands. Our lesson will deal with the Swelling Potion. As you can guess, it causes swelling to occur. Can anyone tell me an ingredient?"

Re: Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
Angel smiled seeing that Miss Hawthorn had answered so quickly. It seemed that she had not only done her reading, but she quite liked the subject, perhaps the next year she'd have her as an apprentice.
"Very good Miss Hawthorn, no need to sigh, five points to Gryffindor."
She hoped that she'd gain some confidence in her knowledge of Potions.
"Now for the Swelling Potion I'd like for you to partner up. In the meanwhile I'll write out the ingredients."
8 cups of Dragon blood, in your cauldron.
One person must turn it counter clockwise for thirty seconds
Add 3 drops of Wolfsbane (turn cauldron after each drop counter clockwise)
Wait for potion to turn green.
Add 3 Dragon fangs (remember to turn it to dust)
4 puffer-fish scales (by this point it must turn purple)
8 puffer-fish eyes (now should turn blue)
Raise flame towards high and in exactly seven minutes place one rat tail and cover and turn of flame (a small explosion will occur inside)
Turning to face them once more she looked at them seriously.
"Trust is an important part of this potion, so I hope you choose wisely."

Re: Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
Anne walked into class very late. She had had an episode and couldn't really get there any earlier. She felt her legs still shaking as she sat down. She sighed as she heard they would be working in partners. She didn't think anyone would want to work with her. She couldn't blame them she had the word freak carved on her face. She had nothing. She sighed and moved over to Sam, wondering if she could clear the air. "Want to be my partner?" She asked softly.

Re: Potions- Second Years: Lesson One
Sam looked next to her and she saw Anne, Sam nodded " Sure" Sam said with a smile she hoped she and Anne could try to be friends Sam hummed as she got the ingredents.
" Okay, here'e the ingredents tell me when you're ready to make the potion" Sam said with a smile.
Sam grabbed the dragons blood, and she counted in her head she put all eight in the cauldron and smiled inwardly. Sam stirred the potion counter clockwise and she added the three drops of wolfsbane and she did the rest, she than waited for the cauldron to turn green, when it did she grabbed three dragon fangs and she turned them to dust and Sam quickly put them into the cauldron Sam added four puffer-fish scales and waited for the potion to turn purple when it did Sam added 8 puffer fish eye's, than the potion turned blue Sam than raised the flames to almost high and she waited seven minutes than she placed one rat tail inside the potion and she did the last part when she turned the flame off there was a small exploshian, Sam turned to Anne and have her a small smile.
