Potions Lesson One - Second Years
Evangeline, for some unknown reason even to herself had been asked to be a subsitite teacher for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as they were very understaffed, and she sighed as she merely sat down at the desk that was provided and looked out over the cauldrons.
The fact she knew almost next to nothing about potions was something that the Headmistress didn't seem to mind about. Looking over the book that had been left, Evangeline's expression stayed it's same stoic manner and she merely waited for the students to come into the classroom.
Most of the time children didn't really like her, she had always put it down to the fact she was a reaper...but now she supposed she would find out. It turned out that today the students would be learning about;
'Swelling Solution'

Re: Potions Lesson One - Second Years
Veronica entered the classroom. With a sigh, she sat down and rubbed her eyes. Looks like she was a second year now.
She stifled a yawn and looked up at the board. Swelling Solution. That ought to be easy. She spotted the Professor. Veronica thought she looked a bit odd.
Taking her eyes off of the substitute, she looked around, wondering when the others would arrive.

Re: Potions Lesson One - Second Years
Evangeline looked at the two students in her class and she blinked at them for a moment before she turned to the board and began to write up the method for creating the potion that they were going to be brewing in today's class that she was covering.
"I am Evangeline Webb, I am instructed to cover your potions lessons until further notice, today you are brewing a swelling solution. This is the method by which you must do it, ingredients are on the desk at the front of the room. You may begin now."
''3 puffafish eyes'
'4 snake scales'
'2 teaspoons of flobberworm pus'
'5 chopped asphodel roots'
'1 base potion'
'1. Add the base potion to a cauldron on medium heat.
'2. Ensure that the snake scales are added one at a time until the potion turned purple'
'3. Add the flobberworm pus and stir the potion for two minutes clockwise, then one minute anti-clockwise'
'4. Chop the asphodel roots small, as small as possible, then add them to the potion, wait until it turns a light pink.'
'5. Add the puffafish eyes one at a time.'
'6. Wait until the potion turns white. Then take off the heat and place in your vials.'

Re: Potions Lesson One - Second Years
Evangeline watched as Melody made the potion but without placing much emphasis on the actual making of the potion, she wished that she would have done, maybe she would have gotten more points for her house if she had put more detail into making the potion itself.
"Five points to Ravenclaw for a potion that is well made, however, you should put more detail into your creation and more attention to gain more points for your house."
Walking to the door Evangeline opened it and gestured to the students to leave the room, so that she could be alone once more and free to do her job...the one she was born to do, as well as the one in the Ministry.
"Lesson dismissed."
