Lesson Four - First Years

Natasha hummed along to the four creatures in the pen. While they all had their own unique pitch that they hummed at, it made for a nice background noise that fit in with the natural forest sounds.

As she waited on a bench outside the pen, she thought back on the year. She didn't have many first years, but the few girls she did have seemed very bright and at least took an interest during lessons. She had been unsure of how she would fair as a teacher, but was rather happy she had decided to come to Hogwarts.

Making sure she had enough buckets of food for everyone, she waited for them to arrive.

As soon as Iola heard the beautiful music that the creatures were making she gasped happily. Back home, almost everyone had one. She was really excited and happy as she missed her pet Puffskein, Alassëa, hugely.
"Oh Miss! They're so lovely! Can I stroke them?" She asked gushing, hoping that her teacher would say yes.

Carly walked down to her magical creatures lesson. As she neared the class she heard a huuming sound, absentmindedly humming along she continued to where the teacher and another student were sitting. Smiling st them in geeting she looked into the pen and watched the cute animals until the lesson was due to start.

Natasha smiled at the two young ladies and clapped her hands together, deciding they should start the lesson.

"Certainly, Miss Avalon. Feel free to go into the pen and play with them. I thought it would be nice to send you off this year with a wonderful experience with a creature that would make a very fun pet." Opening the pen, she handed them each a bucket of vegetables as they walked in.

"These lovely little creatures are a wizard equivalent to a hamster,"Natasha made it a point to know muggle animals as well, for this very reason, "And they love to be cuddled. They will eat almost anything."

Happy to see her students enjoying the animals, she said, "If you ever venture to Diagon Alley in the future, you should stop by Weasley's Wizard Weezes. The Weasley brothers modified these creatures into colorful little pets that you may get permission to have in the castle if you are interested. Though I know you are only allowed one pet."
