A First Meeting (Open to all British Adults)

Aurelia had decided that enough was enough and she was going to act where the Ministry and the establishments of the British magic would not, she was going to stand up for all of those that had died by the hands of the German forced, it was time for them to rise up above the Germans and to take them down the pegs that they deserved.

Frowning she leant against one of the large mausoleums, she had sent various messages through her clients, and she had hoped that anybody who was interested would turn up and help her in her cause, and Aurelia hoped desperately that she was not the only person with a spine still left on the British side of the fight.

All around her the night seemed to grow darker, and taking a large breath of fresh air, Aurelia calmed herself and kept her senses sharp for anybody approaching.

Ophelia didn't want to have to resort to joining a group that would attack Germany, but she was sick and tired of this war. If it continued, it could spread to other countries and that was not needed at all. She had heard about a meeting being held in The Graveyard and decided - what the heck? I'll just join! She was nervous about it though, as she always got nervous about anything, but there was excitement as well.

Excitement because she was going to be helping stop this war. Or maybe, she'd just end up making it worse but it was worth a try. She steeled her nerves and walked along quietly to the meeting place, picking where to step carefully as as not to make too much noise. She accidentally knocked a pebble over the path, making a sound that she was sure anyone in the general area could hear. She rolled her eyes at herself and jumped onto the grass.

Seeing a figure silhouetted against the darkening sky, she walked over and smiled warily. She nodded her head in greeting and stood still.

Aurelia saw that there was one person there, it was a little bit shameful however one person was better than none and others might turn up later on int the meeting, stepping closer to the woman, she calmly looked her over for a few minutes, as if she was getting the measure of her, she seemed trustworthy, if not a little bit reluctant.

Humming Aurelia smirked and took a deep breath in, clasping her hands together as she stepped towards the woman, holding one of her hands out;

"Aurelia Vance, but you can call me Shadow, I'm the leader of the British Rebel forces which I presume is the reason why you have come here, there's sod all else to do in a graveyard at night hmm?" she smirked.

Chari had nothing else to do, so she decided to come to the meeting. After all, she would go anywhere with their leader, unless Shadow doesn't want her to. Making her way to the graveyard, she heard voices. One was Shadow's, the other... wasn't very familiar. She shrugged, making no noise as she walked.

She saw figures in the dark. Chari smirked and walked towards them both. "Hello. I've noticed that you've already started the meeting, with... her," she said quietly. "Charina Hayes. Member of the British Rebels."

She didn't show it very much, but she was itching to hear what was going to be the topic of their meeting. Maybe the Germans, or something of the sort?

Kiera walked slowly towards a group of silhouettes etched out against the evening sky, her hawk-like gaze deciphering three people, all women by the shape of the figures, standing in the mausoleum. Kiera smirked inwardly. Looked like women were the only ones emotional enough about their country to resort to such direct action.

As for herself, Kiera had no qualms about why she was here. Her original birth place was France, she had travelled the world her entire life in search of battle and ancient weapons, and had lived a few spare years in Britain. She had no attachment to the country whatsoever. The real reason why she was here among a bunch of Brit patriots was because she was itching for the adrenaline of battle, war, and blood again. Her weapons, collected from wrecks and tombs of old, were getting rusty. She needed a purpose in her life again.

Kiera walked up to the figures and addressed the one who by her appearance seemed to be the leader, "The name's Kiera de Auvergne. Owner of a weapons armory at Knockturn. I'm here to contribute to your cause."

Aurelia turned when she heard more people approaching and was very glad to see Charina, it was something that she liked about the woman that she always turned up when she was needed, she was a dedicated member and she needed more like her.

Holding her hand out to her Aurelia smirked a little and nodded her head; "Well I'm glad to see you again Charina, it's been a while." she grinned a little.

There seemed to be another woman coming up the path and she turned to greet her also, she was a shop keeper, that much she knew, owner of the wepons store up on Knockturn Alley, and her own knowledge was confirmed when she introduced herself.

"I am happy to see you too, even though we only have two new members, there is always hope for more, and I believe I shall begin the meeting," she smirked "The point of getting you all here, is to bind us together, after all I need to know I can trust you before I go any further, I hope you two will understand Charina has already recieved the runic tattoo."

"Your need for trust is perfectly understandable, especially for a cause like this." Kiera lightly ran a finger over the nearest tombstone. "After all, its not all that legal, is it?"

Then Kiera raised her eyes to meet Aurelia's, "But I shall require a similar reassurance. How do I know that the so-called runic tattoo you are going to bind me with shall not enslave me in any way? That its purpose is exactly what you tell it to be? You and all others here," Kiera waved a hand to indicate their companions,"are strangers to me."

Chari smiled. "Yes, it has been quite a while." she said, simply. She sat down for a while, listening to their rather small conversation. She nodded, as she did have the runic tattoo. Turning to Kiera, she frowned. "I can assure you that this tattoo of ours would not enslave anyone," she said.

"This runic tattoo gives a right, Miss de Auvergne, to join our force and fight for our country against the Germans. It is fine if you do not want to join forces with us, of course. But we would be quite lucky to have more people helping us," Chari calmly said.

She didn't want to have a quarrel, since she has a slight feeling that the two ladies would join them.

Kiera turned to the other woman, "Your assurance is appreciated Miss......." Kiera trailed off, indicating her desire to know her companion's name. "But I am afraid I have lived in a dishonest world too long, making me paranoid and suspicious of everyone's motives. A spoken sentence is not enough."

"But......" Kiera paused for a second. "If you, or your leader, are willing to swear a Witch's Oath upon your magic, that this rune shall not harm or implicate me in any way, then I am ready to take it and join you immediately."

Aurelia appreciated Charina's support of her character, if she told someone that she was going to do something she did it, if she promised something she always did it exactly as she promised, Aurelia was not one to lie, although understandably Kiera did not know that.

Sending a small nod in Charina's direction Aurelia stepped forward and held out her hand;

"I appreciate your concern, and when you come to know me you know I am not a witch to lie, especially to those she wants on her side, although I am happy to confirm this via a magical oath if you wish."

Tapping her hand her own runic tattoo showed, with a faint cooling sensation to her hand and she showed it to both Ophelia and Kiera; "All this tattoo does is illustrate when someone in our group has run into trouble and needs back up, it also keep an eye on your vital signs so we know if you're in trouble even if you don't have the chance to activate it. You can even choose which rune you want." she smirked.

Kiera thoughtfully tapped a finger on her chin, "If that is so, then I think you've found yourself a new companion in your cause. I am ready to join and take any rune, only relying on your word."

Then Kiera smirked. "Are we doing the whole branding business here and now? You see, the atmosphere is rather...." she waved a hand, indicating the cold, silent graveyard. "Perfect."

Aurelia nodded her head when Kiera asked if they were going to be giving each other the tattoos now, after all when would they be able to give them to each other after this point, then the work began it would seem. Especially Aurelia's.

"Of course, so get thinking on which one you want." she grinned

Holding out her wand, she pointed it at her head and said, softly, allowing her wand to glow grey the colour of her magical core;

"I Aurelia Vance, do hereby swear on my magic the runic tattoo given to Kiera de Auvergne and Ophelia Zabini will have no adverse effects to them at all, or affect them in any way different to the manners I have highlighted."

"Thank you." Kiera inclined her head in acknowledgement of the Oath. "Count me as a member of your Cause."

"As far as the rune goes, I think Eihwaz, the rune of death and transformation would be apt." Kiera withdrew her wand and etched out three shining lines of scarlet in the air, much similar to a slightly inclined 'Z'. She smiled with all her teeth, "After all, it is transformation that we're going to be bringing in the War, isn't it?"

Aurelia nodded her head, she knew that some people needed a little more than the word of the person who was leading them and she did not mind providing this reassurance to Kiera, she was invaluable, and she needed to make sure that she would join her cause compliently.

When Kiera chose her rune, Aurelia chuckled lightly and she nodded her head; "That we are, we are all looking for the way the country works now to transform, and that it what I am going to make happen."

Holding her wand out, Aurelia whispered;

"Now point to where you would like the tattoo and I will give it to you, Ophelia you be thinking where you also want yours, it wont be visible unless you want it to be, so it really doesn't matter." she smirked lightly.

Jack and James had both decided to join this movement of rebels but Jack had come alone to this meeting. His brother was busy on a mission in Germany, something about trying to assassinate the commander in chief of their armed forces. He would have doubted someone else's skill but his brother could do it.

Moving up the path of the graveyard, hands in his pockets, Jack wandered up the path in his black overcoat. His favourite grenade launcher was slung across his back and his wand and guns were hidden inside his coat. Seeing the group ahead of him, Jack advanced,

"An' from te' dark te' executioner com' and sayeth..." he grinned as he walked closer with his hands up, "Death cometh to all... bu' no' tonigh'. I'm ere to join this little rebellion."

"I think on my right forearm would be the best option." Kiera drew up the sleeve of her black robe to reveal her pale forearm.

Then she turned to see the new entry to the meeting. "You wish to the join the Cause as well? Well, I'm here for the same purpose as you are. In fact, I'm getting branded now."

Aurelia smirked lightly and she pressed her wand to the upper forearm of Kiera, it was going to feel slightly cold but of course she would not tell her that it would be funny to see if she were going to react to the sensation.

Concentrating, Aurelia printed the tattoo on her arm and then looked over it to make sure the charm had printed onto it properly, seeing that it had she nodded self-satisfied by her work.

"There you go, that should work."

As soon as her ears pricked up that Irish accent, Aurelia immediately felt the desire to kill the source of it, turning to face Jack her eyes flashed, after all these years he thought he could just SWAN back into the group.

Marching over to him she put her wand on his forehead and branded him with the tattoo, only this time it wasn't a rune it was the word 'Moron'.

"You will stay behind after the meeting." she ordered coldly.

Jack had to admit that he wasn't expecting a warm welcome but having something, no doubt very uncomplimentary, branded to his forehead was a bit of a low point even for his imagination. He swallowed nervously and nodded,

"Aye aye Aurelia." he replied before turning to Kiera, "If she'll le' me in tha' is."

He wouldn't be surprised if Aurelia didn't want him and his brother back in the group after the way they'd left but the fact was that he and James both wanted to help Aurelia now that they were back.

As she was getting branded, Kiera felt a sudden strange cold sweep up through her arm. Her shoulder muscles tightened for a second, her pupils grew wider, then everything was back to normal. Kiera straightened, turned her head and shot Aurelia a smirk, "If you took candidates who got shocked at something as small as that, then I would pity the condition of your Cause." Then she stopped. "My bad. Our cause."

Then a slight chuckle burst out of Kiera's lips at the sight of the man getting branded on his forehead, "I take it that you already know each other?"

Aurelia smirked a little when Kiera told her that she would be shocked if she allowed anyone who was shocked by the process into the group, she would not allow them to be anywhere near anything important that was for sure, she couldn't trust them.

"I think that they would be in the back making coffee of doing some paperwork if they were, after all, it's not like I'm hacking your arm off or something I'm sure anyone could stand it."

When Kiera asked if they knew each other Aurelia frowned and her lips went tight; "Unfortunately."

Now they were just waiting on Ophelia to come forwards and be branded, so they could get onto the interesting stuff.

Ophelia watched the arrival of a few others after her own, and tilted her head in curiosity at the cold exchange between Aurelia and the newcomer. Un-like Kiera, she was in no mood to pry and remained silent, waiting her turn.

She then stepped forwards after Keira and him had been branded, head bowed slightly as she hadn't spoken much. She'd sort of stood there, wondering if this was a good idea.

And she'd decided it was. Because if she was with them, she could also protect children that fell in harms way due to the group. The main reason she wanted this war to end was because of the children, for she knew that a single kind person from the 'bad side' could change their perspective and make them see that this war was foolish, and hopefully it could end with their generation.

She smiled warily at Aurelia and stood sort-of close to her. She steeled her nerves, knowing they wouldn't want her if she was weak and pathetic, and offered her own arm deciding her forearm was the best place for it much like Keira's.

Kiera raised an eyebrow at Aurelia's cold demeanor towards the man. There was obviously more to the story here, and if she was going to be a member of the Cause then there was no doubt that she would come to know more about the story sooner or later. But for now, Kiera simply waited till the other new recruit, Ophelia, got branded on her forearm.

"So....." Kiera tapped her fingers on the nearby tombstone, "Speaking in Muggle lingo, what's the game plan? What action are you planning to take next?"

Aurelia was glad that Ophelia had stepped forward she needed to be able to brand her before they could continue with their activities and that included trying to tell people what it was they were trying to do...the main focus of the meeting itself.

With a reassuring smile Aurelia pressed her want to Ophelia's forearm and applied the runic tattoo that disappeared immediately afterwards. Now that was done she gave a tight lipped smile to the group who had gathered here.

"Now thats done, I can give you 'the game plan' I have just enrolled Silas Gray and his entire armed forces to our cause, if any Germans enter Britain with the intent to attack, we have those guys to back us up." she smirked "I'm working on getting them to come with us on missions over to the German country when we organise attacks."

Grinning, Aurelia crossed her arms; "Speaking of which, we need to form attack teams. I shall place you in these teams now."

Jack waited patiently as the other woman was branded. He hoped that Aurelia wouldn't be spiteful enough to keep the brand of 'moron' on his face. It wasn't subtle in the least and more than a little insulting. When she mentioned about putting them into combat teams he raised an eyebrow. Deciding to ask the question, he raised his hand slightly,

"Hey... woul' des team be pair by any chance?" he asked her before shrugging, "Jus' a lil curious if yer plannin' on inflictin other wit me an' James."

Charina watched silently as the two women got branded. She looked up as another person--a man, this time--walked towards them. As he got closer, Chari noticed that he looked like someone. How strange.

When the man had already been close enough for Chari to identify him, she snapped. Of course, it was Jack Irvine, the man with the Irish accent who left for a while. Chari frowned. But on the bright side, they had more people now that they have the two women.

She looked again at Aurelia, waiting for the plan. As Aurelia spoke, Chari's mind wandered off. "... Silas Gray and..." Wait, what? Silas Gray? She looked up and smirked lightly. Aurelia had finished speaking. She opened her mouth to speak, but Jack suddenly piped up. She rolled her eyes slightly.

"Attack teams, eh...?" Chari said, but more to herself rather than to the others. "Wonder who'll be with me." she thought. Waiting for Aurelia to team them up, she sat there quietly.
