Lesson One - Third Years
Richard whistled a little bit as he wandered around his classroom, idly walking as he waited for his students to arrive. A little bit bored, Richard moved over to his desk and sat on it, facing the desks where the students would sit. He took a large number of pencils from a drawer in his desk and waited, lining them up side by side in perfect order on his desk as he waited.

Alcyone walked along to her next class with a bored expression on her face. Lessons, how dull. She was worried now more than ever about Capella, as her darling little sister whom she loved with all of her heart and all of her mind was completely alone at the manor. She winced at the thought of the tortures her sister might be experiencing at that very moment. She grit her teeth and held her head high, taking a seat in the middle of the classroom and waiting for the class to start.

Xander walked into class and nodded to the professor. He'd seemed a happier person in general since his daughter's birth, and Xander was happy for him.
He took a seat next to Alcyone. "Hey. How was your summer?" Having more classes where they were two of few made him think that maybe he should actually get to know his fellow Slytherin.

Re: Lesson One - Third Years
Richard looked out over his class for a few seconds with a smile before picking up one of the pencils. He concentrated and, without any wand work, the pencil changed into a throwing knife. He held it as he had the pencil, with an air of complete ease,
"Today we're going to have a little quiz..." he told her students with a grin, "When I have asked the question I will throw a throwing knife at you. Don't worry, it will change before it hits your face. If you are correct it will turn into a marshmellow and you are free to eat it. If you are wrong it will turn into a banana cream pie."
He looked around the room,
"Mr Clarke! What is the first element on the periodic table of elements?" he demanded as he threw the knife, "Go!"

"Hydrogen." Xander answered. He was very sure it was correct, but couldn't help flinching as the knife came flying towards him.
As the knife changed into a marshmallow, it hit him square between the eyes. It slowly rolled onto the floor, where Xander picked it up. He didn't want to eat it, so simply placed it on the desk.
