Lesson One - Second Years Empty Lesson One - Second Years

Post by Viktor Nickel Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:49 am

Once again, here he was. Viktor banged his head against his desk with an annoyed groan. He really did not like teaching history and yet here he was, once again teaching snot nosed brats about history, something that they didn't care about.

Joy of joys...

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Post by Seffi Dresner Wed Jun 13, 2012 12:19 am

Seffi walked into the classroom, whispering a goodbye to Eliza and she tilted her head to one side when she saw the Professor, they did not look happy to be back teaching and she wondered if all the professors would act like this, it was so strange they would be a professor if they truly did hate teaching.

Dismissing the thought she sent a smile their way and sat down at her desk, running her hands through her hair with a small sigh, hopefully this lesson would take her mind off missing her parents.

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Clearly, Professor Nickel did not enjoy teaching history. Lars could see why, most students viewed it as the most boring subject at school. In his opinion though, it was one of the most interesting and exciting. You could learn so much from the past, it could teach you important lessons about life that would take years to learn on your own. Also, he enjoyed seeing how the people who had tried to dominate the entire world had failed. Secretly, he had always wanted to take over the world. He hated himself for it, he knew it was a terrible thing to dream about. World domination was never a good idea, and Lars knew it.

Taking the seat next to Seffi, he smiled widely at her. As always, she was drop-dead gorgeous. He dreamed of them one day being more than friends. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts of silly daydreams, he turned to Professor Nickel. "Hello Professor, I can't wait for the history lesson. I've always really enjoyed learning about the past." he told the man.

Professor Nickel was an intimidating figure as he stood at the head of the class. He was very good looking, in an almost wicked way. Mirri was a little nervous entering the class for the first time. She was happy to see that she wasn't the only student in class. She thought maybe she recognized the others but wasn't sure so she sat toward the front and off to the side.

As much as she had hated the subject of history in her old school, this professor looked like he could make it alot more interesting. She was actually looking forward to hearing what he had to teach her.

Deciding that it was time to start the lesson, Viktor sighed a little bit before standing up in front of the class. If he was going to do this he was going to do it on a subject he enjoyed,

"Today we will be focusing on the history of the British Dark Lord Voldemort." he told the class simply, "You will take notes. Now, someone tell me Voldemort's real name."

Seffi sent a large smile Lars' way, he seemed to be sitting next to her more and more in these lessons and she could not help but catch him looking at her a few times and she wondered why he was doing so, gently moving her hair back from her face she smiled softly.

When the question was asked she raised her hand and waited to be called upon before answering;

"Tom Marvolo Riddle, Jr." she said softly.

Lesson One - Second Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Second Years

Mirri's eyes widened at the announcement of the topic of study. She had grown up in England, not far from London and heard many stories about the war between He Who Must Not Be Named and the boy hero Harry Potter. These had all been from the victor's side so she wondered what the other side could tell her. This indeed was going to be more interesting than past history lessons.

Anxiously she took out quill and parchment and began taking notes in her own form of shorthand.
