Lesson One - Third Years Empty Lesson One - Third Years

Post by Briony Romain Tue Jun 12, 2012 6:18 am

Briony had not been up to much this summer break, mostly she had been spending time with Baby Raven and Richard, they were becoming close as a family and she was daring to hope that she was going to be able to have a normal family life as a result of the birth of her daughter, she would live and everything would be alright.

With a small sigh on her lips Briony had to admit that she was glad certain members of staff had left the school, they were altogether useless and their lessons were substandard...most of the time.

Sighing lightly she rested her head on the back of her chair and waited for the students to arrive, the lesson topic on the board;

'Duel.'

Lesson One - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Third Years

Alcyone walked along to her next class with a bored expression on her face. Lessons, how dull. She was worried now more than ever about Capella, as her darling little sister whom she loved with all of her heart and all of her mind was completely alone at the manor. She winced at the thought of the tortures her sister might be experiencing at that very moment. She grit her teeth and held her head high, taking a seat in the middle of the classroom and waiting for the class to start.

Xander walked into a familiar sight. The Headmistress and Alcyone. He smiled at them both and took a seat, wondering if Luke would ever show up.

He really hoped he would because he found comfort in dueling his cousin. Someone who wouldn't hold a grudge if things got crazy.

Briony looked at the two slytherin students in her class, it was probably a good thing that there was only one couple here because there would be spells flying everywhere if there were a lot of students turning up for the lessons.

With a small smile on her lips Briony greeted the class before letting it drop once more into her normal rather stern look.

"As you can see, today we are using all of the spells that you have been taught in the past years to duel each other, since there are only two of you, you will be fighting against each other, now partner up and begin when you are ready."

Nodding her head towards the cushioned area of the classroom, Briony waited for them to move over there and for the duel to begin.

Xander shrugged inwardly at the fact that it was just the pair of them. Never hurts to make new friends.

Once he'd made his way over to the practice area, he gave a small smirk to Alcyone. Not the same that he usually gave Tess, but a friendly one. After taking the usual bow, he took up a stance.

Not sure how this would go, he decided to start off lightly. "Rictusempra." A silver light shot from his wand and towards Alcyone.

Briony could see that there was very little that she could do to prompt the classmates to fight each other, that she recognised because they were friends and they did not want to harm each other, with a sigh she stood up and clapped her hands to gain both of their attention.

"For at least attempting to duel, ten points to Slytherin Mr. Clarke, as for fighting each other, sometimes you will be made to fight those you love and those who you thought you could trust, you will need to gain that mentality throughout these years, I have no doubt however that you both will."

Waving her hand to the door Briony sighed;

"Class dismissed."
