Lesson One - Third Years Empty Lesson One - Third Years

Post by Mikhail Novikov Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:03 pm

Mikhail tapped his fingers on his arm while he waited for his third years to show up. He had something different planned for his lesson, but he hoped that they enjoyed it all the same. After all, it was nice to do different things. Or at least, he hoped so.

He went over his lesson plan in his head, nodding to himself to make sure he had it all right. He didn't have the privilege of a chalkboard in his greenhouse, but he didn't need one. As long as his students paid attention, they were fine.

Lesson One - Third Years Empty Re: Lesson One - Third Years

Dimitrius entered the greenhouse, immediately smiling over at Professor Novikov. "Good morning sir," Dimitri greeted, taking a seat at the table. He had gained massive amounts of respect for the Professor during that attack on the ship. He rubbed his ankle out of the memory, feeling the raised skin there.

Luna had thought the scar was wicked cool, and Dimitri guessed so too, but it was painful how he had gotten it. He wouldn't wish that on anyone. "Oh your arm. How is it sir?"

Mikhail sighed when he realized that Mister Skaia would be his only student in the third year class. Yet again. "Ten points to you Mister Skaia," he said, nodding to the boy. "And my arm is doing much better. I trust your ankle is doing well too? Also, pull out a piece of parchment. We will be taking some notes today."

Mik went over and sat across from Dimitrius, folding his hands together on the table. "So, Mister Skaia, what can you tell me about Sage?" Mik asked, staring at the boy and waiting for an answer.

Dimitrius removed a piece of parchment from his satchel and a quill before looking at his Professor in surprise. "I know sage is an herb," he said, tapping the end of his quill on the parchment. "Herbal remedies and the like, you know."

Marking some things down on his parchment, he decided to continue. "I know that some Native Americans treat sage as a sacred herb because it can purify a patient and what not." Dimitri said, nodding to himself. "Is there anything else I missed sir?"

"You covered the basics," Mikhail said waving his hand and nodding to the boy. "Another five points for you. Make sure you search up Sage when you get a chance. We might be working with it next lesson, we might not. Just a surprised for you."

Mik stood up from the table and walked to the end of it, crossing his arms and nodding his head over to the door. "Go on, Mister Skaia. Enjoy the rest of your classes and day."
