Re: A Happy Meeting (Senium and Humphrey)

Her beautiful smile made a big grin cross his face as well. He wasn't sure what was making her so happy, but he could tell she was. A lot of relationships with teenagers didn't last very long at all; however, Humphrey couldn't help but hope that they would be among the few that did. It was possible to do it, with lots of work at it.

"Really? That's great!" he exclaimed, and then blushed a little bit at his own enthusiasm. "I know it's a bit silly, and most people our age don't date one person for very long, but...I think we can do it. You're pretty special you know, so I want you all to myself." Humphrey said proudly. "Goodness, that's so selfish of me."

It had been tough fighting Raven Drake, the memory of her razors and that evil grin still appeared in his nightmares from time to time. For Pyxis though, she had the pressure to start off, and he was glad that it wasn't him who had to begin it.

"I think that Victoria's was the hardest actually. At least with the other tasks you knew what you had to fight, and could go at it head on. For hers though, it was more of a scavenger hunt. To me at least, I think that would have been the hardest." Humphrey told her honestly.

Senium was a tough person to figure sometimes, especially when she just stood there grinning. He loved it, but at the same time she drove him crazy.

Humphrey had been biting his lip and holding his breath, waiting for the response. Letting out a sigh of relief, he smiled back at her. "You can be so thick sometimes. Of course I thought the kiss was amazing, it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Well, aside from you agreeing to become my girlfriend." Humphrey said sincerely. On impulse, he hugged her to him, being careful with her as always. "I'm never going to forget how special that kiss was, how special you are, for as long as I live Senium." he whispered in her ear.

Senium smiled gently and she was more than happy to hear that Humphrey thought the same as her, but at the same time, she was aware of how tough it was going to be, even with the war taken out of the status quo...there were so many other things that could get in the way of them as a couple.

"It's not selfish of you Humphrey." Senium giggled "I think it is rather romantic of you to say something like that, I'm glad that you confessed your 'selfish' tendencies to me."

When Senium heard Humphrey tell her that he thought that Victoria's task was the hardest. she hummed to herself while she thought about it, she supposed that it was a good point of view.

"I guess everyone would feel different things are harder than others." she smiled softly.

Giggling a little bit, Senium didn't even mind feeling a little bit blushworthy if it meant that Humphrey would be happy like he was right now, and when he said that she would always be special to him, Senium's cheeks turned bright red and her ears flushed.

"Now you really have done it Humphrey, my face will be this colour for life now thanks to you." she teased playfully.

If they could make it work, Humphrey knew he would always be happy. He loved her, and would do anything to make her feel the same. Part of what worried him though, was her illness. Senium was always in danger of being seriously sick because of it. The thing he didn't know, was if it could kill her or not.

"Well it is selfish, but I'm glad you don't mind." Humphrey said, chuckling a bit. "Me? Romantic??? You must have the wrong person. That is one charge I am innocent of." he told her, pleading innocent.

Part of him was glad the tournament was over, his friends were safe now. Another part thought that he would miss the competition, it had been a lot of fun despite the dangers.

"You are right on that one. What's your biggest fear Senium?" he asked her. He was curious waht she was afraid of.

Her blush always made him smile. This time he blushed as well, and it made him a little self-conscious. She blushed even more, which made her even prettier.

"I'm blushing now too. The color suits you though, the pink compliments your blonde hair wonderfully. I love making you blush though, so cute." he teased her back.

Senium giggled gently and she shook her head, it seemed that she and Humphrey fitted together in more ways than one, both of them were very cautious when it came to accepting any praise, however she knew that what she was saying about Humphrey was true.

Standing up on her tiptoes she gave Humphrey a small kiss on the lips and she smiled gently;

"Well the woman is always right in relationships isn't she?" she joked "So if I say that you're romantic then it must be true Humphrey! And you'll just have to be guilty as charged." Senium teased.

When she was asked what her biggest fear was, Senium smiled gently and moved some hair from in front of her eyes, of course it wasn't a very nice topic, but she didn't mind; "Being unable to move my body, scares me. It happens sometimes, but thankfully not for long. What about you? What are you scared of?"

Gently punching Humphrey on the arm again Senium grinned; "Enough of calling me cute! I'll get a complex."

Her giggle made him laugh as well, it was contagious. She always knew exactly what to do or say to make him feel better. No matter what his problem was, she always knew how to help him. Humphrey didn't know much, but he knew that she was perfect for him in every way.

He couldn't help but blush when she kissed him on the lips. "Yes, yes you are." Hugging her, he looked deep into her eyes. "I give, I plead guilty. What punishment does my crime constitute?" he asked her.

That would be a horrible thing, to be fully paralyzed. It sent some shivers up his spine. His biggest fear though, had always been something much simpler. "Losing people I care about, that's always scared me to death. Having somebody you are close to, just not there anymore. To me, that's the scariest thing in the world.

Rubbing his arm where she punched him, he made a pained face. "Ouch, watch your strength there Seni. You are a lot stronger than you look." He was only partially kidding, he knew she was a lot stronger than she looked. "Okay, okay, I'll stop for today. Besides, you didn't say anything about using the word beautiful, which you are." Humphrey teased her.

Senium smiled gently when she saw that she had managed to make Humphey blush, it was something that she liked to do, make him blush, and it was nice to see that he thought that she was pretty enough to blush about. Tapping her chin a little bit, Senium mock posed in thought for a few moments.

"What could I possibly do to Humphrey as a result of being guilty...hmmm....I could ban him from smoochies, but then that wouldn't be very fair." she hummed "I think that your punishment should be to see me at least once a week from now on." she decreed, poking his nose.

Nodding her head, Senium knew that feeling, and he kept it smothered within her; "I think that's scary too, although I try not to think about that, it makes me sad to think about all those people I care about gone."

With a small gasp Senium rubbed Humphrey's arm and she placed a kiss on the place where she had punched him;

"Sorry Humphrey, I didn't mean to hit you that hard, I guess I just wasn't really watching my strength." she pouted gently, unhappy she had hurt Humphrey but amazed she had done.

Humphrey noticed Senium's satisfied smile, and it just made him blush a little more. She knew just what to do didn't she? He wondered what she would come up with, all he knew was it would be good.

"Almost being banned from smoochies, wow, dodged a bullet on that one." he muttered to himself. When she poked his nose, he just smiled widely. "That's some punishment there, giving me exactly what I want. I always want to see you, I'll abide by your decision." Humphrey told her, trying to look like it was painful for him. "Though I don't know how I'll survive it."

He could tell she knew that feeling, only people who had lost somebody before did. "Yea, I try not to think about it either. Sometimes, the thoughts just come, you know? Like, at the funeral, so many people I knew that are gone. Even the first friend I made when I came here, just gone." he said, a bit dazed. A couple tears appeared on his cheeks at the thought of Kieba being gone.

It was so cute, her kissing where she'd punched him. Senium always did the most adorable things. "It's okay Senium, I was being melodramatic. To be honest, it didn't really hurt, you were being careful. I like your idea of a remedy though, very sweet of you." he told her.

Senium giggled lightly when Humphrey pretended that it was going to be such a hard thing to actually abide by the 'punishment' that he had set her, when really it was going to be so much fun seeing him more often, maybe she would have to bring him home to meet her Grandpapa when they had been together a little bit longer, after all, he had already been hearing a lot about Humphrey and didn't seem to mind him.

"Well maybe we will have to go to each others houses sometime, I'm excited to see where you live, and meet your guardians, and I know that my Grandpapa is okay with you coming around, or when I asked him about it he was." she smiled softly "And then we wont always have to be doing something tiring like wandering around a maze...just in case I'm not having such a good day." Senium added softly.

Seeing Humphrey crying over the loss of his friend, Senium's heart seized up gently, she must have meant to much to him, and to lose her was something that she was going to have to help Humphrey overcome, he looked like he needed someone to comfort him. Placing a small kiss on each of his tears, effectively getting rid of them, Senium smiled softly.

"Oh Humphrey, I hate seeing you so upset...I want to make you feel better, to help you deal with the loss of your friends, what can I do?" she asked ardently.

With a small blush Senium merely waved his thoughts away and smiled softly; "I'm only sweet for you Humphrey."

Humphrey laughed with Senium, a big smile crossing his face. She always knew how to put him in a good mood. Being with her always made him feel better, even if he was feeling bad before he came to see her. Spending more time with her would be a lot of fun, hopefully for her too. Quite the punishment, she always had the best ideas.

"Yea, that sounds fun. I'm sure my aunt would love to finally meet you. I've told her a lot about you, you know." Humphrey told her. "It would be good to meet your grandpa. Definitely, I know some days are harder for you than others. Though, the maze was a good idea." he said, smiling.

Losing Kieba, as well as his other friends, was tough. Pulling Senium into a hug, he cried on her shoulder for a little bit. Having her close was such a comfort to him, in so many ways. He didn't know how he would have gotten through this without her. Slowly, the tears came to a stop, and he smiled wryly.

"You are already doing everything you can. Just being here with me. If I think of anything I'll be sure to let you know though, okay." he reassured her. Senium being worried for him made him feel loved.

Smiling back at her, he winked at her. "Well I would hope you aren't sweet for somebody else. If you were I'd be horribly jealous."

Senium smiled happily and she couldn't help but blush a little when she heard that he had told his family a lot about her, she couldn't help but worry about what he had been telling her, and how she would come across to the people who had brought Humphrey up. Biting her lip she looked up at him shyly.

"What have you been telling her about me?" she asked with a nervous tone to her voice "I'm glad that you think it's a good idea, I hoped that you would like it, could you pass me another glass of lemonade please Humphrey?" Seniums asked politely.

When she was pulled into a hug, Senium gently wrapped her arms around Humphrey and held him in return, she knew that he needed her support and that she would do anything to make him feel better. Even if it was only giving him a simple hug.

"Hush hush..." she whispered quietly, gently patting his back "Of course, if you ever need me to come and talk to you when you're feeling particularily down, just let me know, I'll do my best to be there for you." Senium promised.

Giggling a little bit when Humphrey winked at her, Senium grinned; "Well you don't have to worry about that, one exclusive Senium for you."

Humphrey could see that she was a bit worried about what he'd been telling them. She was biting her lip, which she always did when nervous. Really she had nothing to worry about, but she worried about things more than he did.

"Don't worry, only the good stuff. Like how great a dancer you are, how nice and sweet, that you're really pretty, and make sure to take care of me while I'm at Hogwarts. My aunt can't wait to meet the famous Senium." he said, smiling at her. "As you wish, m'lady." He passed the glass of lemonade with a cheeky grin on his face.

It would take time for him to get over the loss of his friends, he knew that. The funeral had been hard on him, but it was good for him to go. Thankfully, he had Senium to comfort him. She helped him by just being herself.

"Thanks Senium, I know you are always here for me. I'm glad you are, because I don't know what I'd do without you sometimes." Humphrey admitted. Then he reached for her hand, and held it. "I'm here for you too, always."

A big smile appeared when he got Senium laughing, as it always did. "What a relief, I was so worried." Humphrey let out a dramatic sigh of relief. "I'm glad you thought to come here, it's been a good day."

Senium happily smiled when Humphrey told her the things that he had spoken to his Aunt about her, she realised just how much she meant to Humphrey and just how much she meant to her, and she wondered if he realised how much she cared for him?

Taking the lemonade off Humphrey with a soft smile Senium took a small sip and felt herself relaxing even more, but she knew that the time was growing short and she should be going back home soon.

"Well, I guess I don't mind you telling them those nice things about me." she giggled "I hate to say it Humphrey but I think I'm going to have to go soon...it's getting quite late after all and I still need to walk back through the maze."

Making sure that she reassured Humphrey with her smile, Senium gave him a little kiss on his lips and she hoped that he would always come to her with his problems, that they could share each others worries.

As soon as he said that he had had a nice time with her today, Senium felt as if the pain in her limbs was all worth it to give Humphrey a nice date with her today, because that was something that she couldn't deny this meeting had been.

"I'm glad that you've had a good day with me Humphrey, maybe next time you can choose what we do together." she suggested.

Humphrey had enjoyed talking to his mom about Senium, even though they weren't the closest, she was the closest thing to a mom he had. She had seemed genuinely interested as well, which made things easier. Senium had talked to her grandpa about him as well, which meant a lot to him. They sounded like they were really close.

After he handed Senium the lemonade, he got a glass for himself. Taking a sip, he realized that it was probably getting late. Time always flew by when he was with her, and he never paid much attention to it.

"That's good, I didn't think you would. It's not like I could have said anything else though, there isn't anything bad to tell." he said, smiling at her. "Yea, I think you're probably right. I never notice how much time passes when I'm with you. As for walking back through the maze...I could carry you piggy-back if you want. It wouldn't be a problem." Humphrey offered. He knew that long walks were physically taxing on her.

Talking things out with her always helped, and he hoped she'd always be there to talk to. She normally had good advice, knew how to comfort him, and even get him to laugh or smile most of the time. He felt like she understood him better than anyone ever had.

Humphrey smiled at her when he saw the happiness in her look. "I already have one actually. Valentine's is coming up after all. If it's alright with you, I kind of wanted to take you on a classic Muggle date, dinner and a movie. I am a muggleborn after all, and I think you'll enjoy yourself." he told her. He had an idea of what movie too, The Lucky One, which was based off a Nicholas Sparks novel. His aunt liked them, he'd read a couple when he hadn't felt like going to the library; and, surprising to him, he liked them.

Senium smiled lightly when Humphrey offered to give her a piggy back through the maze, she wasn't sure how good that was going to be for her limbs because it would mean them stretching a little bit too much to be comfortable, however she didn't think she would be able to walk that well if she didn't take up the offer.

"Uhm...could you carry me in that...bridal style thing?" she asked with a blush "Just,,,piggy backs stretch my muscles too much and then they take forever to get back to the way they used to be."

Hearing that Humphrey already had a date in mind, since Valentines was coming up, Senium grinned and she remembered the last valentines they had together, it was wonderful, and she had already begun work on his present. It was going to be even better than last year.

"That sounds wonderful Humphrey! I would love to go to the movies and to a restaurant with you, are you going to pick me up from my house and take me there, or should I stay at Hogwarts for the holidays?" she asked with a happy grin on her lips.

Humphrey could tell she appreciated the offer, but that it probably wasn't the best thing for her at the moment. He wanted her to be as comfortable as possible, so whatever suggestion she had for him he would do. Her pain was getting worse, and he wanted to do all he could for her. It wasn't much, saving her one walk, yet every little bit helped.

A broad smile appeared on his face. "Of course I can, sweetheart." he replied. Listening to the explanation, he realized he should have thought of that himself. He was still learning the effects necrosis had on her body.

Walking over to her, Humphrey picked her up gently in the bridal style carry. He saw her wince a little bit when he first picked her up, which he kind of expected. Once he had her secure, he kissed her softly on her forehead. She was pretty light, even if he hadn't had werewolf strength at his disposal it would have been no problem at all carrying her.

"Go ahead and stay at Hogwarts. I found the nearest Muggle town with a movie theater already. There's also a...unique way of transportation. Something I've been working on for a while I've finally perfected, I've been dying to show you ever since I got it down." he said, excitement clear in his voice. Finally, he had perfected his Griffin transformation, and he turned into a soft brown with a few blonde highlights mixed in. They could fly to the Muggle town and land well outside it, then go in from there.

Senium flushed when Humphrey called her sweetheart and she couldn't help but grin widely, she found that she quite liked it when he called her that, nobody had really called her names like that before. Maybe it could be something that only Humphrey and her did, something special between them.

"Thanks Humphrey, just until the end of the maze and I should be okay to walk back into town and get the floo from there." she smiled gently.

The kiss to her forehead made Senium smile wider and she blushed, tilting her head uo and giving Humphrey a soft kiss to his lips, pulling away an even bigger blush on the face she hoped that Humphey wouldn't have minded, she was still working out where their limits were for stuff like that.

"Oh it sounds wonderful! I can't wait to see what's making you so excited Humphrey, it's bound to be excellent." she smiled happily, letting her head rest against his chest as he carried her.

Humphrey saw that she was pleased when he called her sweetheart. He would make sure to use it more often, maybe try a couple other pet names to see which she liked. If she wanted she could come up with one for him too. It was the first time he'd actually used one, and he liked it.

"No need to thank me, I rather like holding you in my arms you know." he told her, smiling at her. "How has the pain been lately?" he asked. Senium seemed to be struggling a bit more than usual.

Despite the fact that they'd been together so long she still blushed all the time, which was quite adorable in his opinion. He returned her kiss, making sure to stop walking so he didn't trip over anything while distracted. His pulse sped up a bit, and he felt some warm fuzzies in his chest. This time he blushed too, and grinned widely as he continued the walk.

"Haha, I think you'll enjoy it. I always get excited about dates with you, but this is definitely as pecial one." he reassured her. She fit perfectly against his chest as he carried her towards the edge of the maze. Helping Senium by doing most of the walking was a pleasure he would enjoy, he didn't mind in the slightest.

Senium smiled gently and was glad that Humphrey wasn't going to see it as a stupid or troublesome thing to carry her, quite the opposite in fact, maybe in time she would come to realise that it was okay to ask him for help when things were getting worse than they had been before, but she bit her lip at the thought.

"Uh? Oh..." she blushed, having zoned out while thinking "Well on a scale of one to ten it's been around a seven or eight so it's not that bad, but it could definately be better...we're almost ready to move me soon though."

The doll which would house Senium was almost ready, she was just placing some of the finishing touches to it, removing and redoing bits that she wasn't pleased with any more. Hopefully she would be able to move into the body no hassle in a few weeks time.

"I'm a little nervous about it Humphrey." she admitted with a small whisper.

Leaning her head against his chest, she was glad of the cheerful topic of the date that was coming up between the two of them, she loved going on dates with Humphrey, especially when they were surprises, it made them even more special.

"Oh now I can't wait, I am going to be kept up all night thinking about what this date could be!" she giggled happily.

Humphrey smiled back at Senium, glad that he was able to help her in whatever way he could. She wasn't the best at asking him for help when she needed it, but she was probably used to doing everything on her own. Asking others for help could be difficult sometimes. He knew that he had that problem at times as well.

"You are so adorable when you blush." he told her with a wink. "Oh wow, that sounds pretty painful. Move you? What do you mean?" he asked her. Move her where? He didn't remember her talking about a move before.

Whatever this move was, it clearly had her worried. Generally she was so tough, it was odd to see her scared about something. If she needed anything, he would be here to help her. Even if it was just giving her some moral support.

"Hey, everything's going to work out fine Senium. It's all going to go smoothly." he said encouragingly. "If there's anything I can do, let me know."

Their date was something he had been looking forward to for a while now. He was going to make it as special as he could for her. She deserved to have a fantastic Valentine's Day, hopefully it would cheer her up.

"Haha, you're going to love it. I may not be the most brilliant date planner, but I tried my best." he told her, laughing a bit with her. They finally exited the cave, and he set her back down on her own two feet. "Well, looks like we made it out of the crystal cave alright. Thanks for today Senium, it was amazing."

Wrapping his arms around her waist, he leaned down and gave her a kiss. He pressed his lips against hers, deepening the kiss a bit. After a few seconds of bliss, he pulled away. "I love you Senium. I've wanted to tell you that for a while now." he said, blushing a bright red. This was the first time he'd told anybody that.

Senium flushed a little bit out of embarrassment she thought that she had definately told Humphrey about her plan, but it would seem not and now it was going to make her feel awful that he was only finding out now before she underwent the procedure, he might not even have feelings for her after the move...she wouldn't technically be human after all.

"W-well I thought I had told you, but me and my Grandpapa are planning on moving me into a different body in a few weeks, it's....it's like one of our puppets only more realistic, there are so many spells and enchantments on it that I'm worried one will go wrong and then...then what will happen to me."

Not wanting to ruin their meeting together she couldn't help but let her feelings all spill out in a big gush, and she hid her head in Humphrey's neck trying to make sure that she didn't look at him, in case his expression showed he was upset with her.

"You're very welcome Humphrey, I'm glad that you were able to come, I had an amazing time."

Blushing when Humphrey wrapped his arms around her waist, Senium closed her eyes and returned the kiss, placing her hands on Humphrey's chest as she did so, when he pulled away Senium resisted the urge to pout. Instead a large smile broke on her lips;

"I love you too Humphrey." she replied.

Humphrey figured that Senium had probably intended to tell him about it a while ago. It probably had just slipped her mind in all the preparation she was doing for it. He wasn't mad at her, this was going to prolong her life after all. She seemmed to be worried about his reaction though.

"You didn't, but I'm sure you meant to. Everything's going to work perfectly Senium, I'm sure of it. Knowing you, I know that you're taking the time to check and double-check everything. It's all going to come out alrighgt." he said, trying to reassure you.

Humphrey rubbed her back soothingly, trying to get her to calm down. Tilting her head up to look at him, he smiled warmly at her. "I'm not upset with you, you know. And I'm going to care about you no matter if you are mostly puppet or not, you're still my Senium." he told her.

Waiting for her reaction was torture, did he say it too soon? Did she not feel the same way about him? He didn't want this to make her feel pressure to say it if she didn't feel the same way. But when she smiled he knew that she did, and he smiled at her in turn.

"I think I like the sound of that." he said, chuckling a little bit. Leaning down, he kissed her again. Her soft lips on his felt wonderful, and he was so happy.

Senium was a little reassured by Humphrey's comments, she had been checking everything and she knew that her Grandpapa wouldn't even think of allowing her to start the move without everything being 100% and she found herself trusting the words of him, and of Humphrey, everything was going to be fine...hopefully.

"Yes we're making sure that nothing goes wrong before I move in, but I still can't help but worry about it...what if it goes wrong? What happens to me then?" she wondered, biting her lip softly, before vanishing the topic from her thoughts, she needed to stop dwelling on it so much.

As soon as she heard those words from Humphrey, Senium felt herself feel immensely lighter, she was glad that he was so accepting of her, whatever she might be in the future and she was blessing that day they met down at Willow Lake.

"Whatever would I do without you Humphrey?" she asked, in a soft but undeniably happy tone "Thank you."

When Humphrey kissed her lips again Senium returned the kiss only too happily and she nuzzled her nose into the crook of Humphrey's neck when they had pulled away from each other. Stepping back slightly she smiled;

"I guess I'll see you at school then Humphrey, I should be heading back now before Grandpapa starts to worry."

Humphrey knew that Senium was worried, and he wasn't surprised, he would be too. He had confidence that everything thing would be all right though, it had to be. Whatever she needed him to do, he would be there for her. This was probably a pretty scary time for her, and she needed his support more than ever.

"It's okay to worry a little bit, but it's all going to work. I can't imagine what life would be like without you around, so you'll just have to make sure everything goes off without a hitch. Anything I can do to help, just let me know." he told her. He was worried about this too, and he really wanted it to go smoothly.

When she listened to him, he watched as some of the tension and worry drained out of her. She really hadn't been sure what he would think of this, was she? Well now she knew, and he smiled at her a bit, happy that she was happy.

"You'd be an equally amazing person, of course. Thankfully you don't have to, though." he said softly, with a light smile. "You are most welcome."

Sadly, he knew that their time for today was up. Senium had to go back home, and so did he. He gave her one last hug before she stepped away.

"Yea, I'll see you at school Senium. Tell your grandpa hi for me. Hopefully I didn't worry him too much by keeping you here."

Senium smiled a little sadly and she waved to Humphrey one last time before she stalked her way over to the nearest floo grate, she just couldn't walk home, she knew that it would more than likely take her a few hours in her condition, maybe she would even be able to do some shopping when she got to the town in her Grandpapa didn;t mind.

She had a great idea for Humphrey's christmas present that she wanted to see if a little store had, and she took out her mobile phone, tapping out a message to her grandpapa as she went. Turning back she smiled at Humphrey's retreating form and continued on her way a few moments later.
