Lesson Four - First Years Empty Lesson Four - First Years

Darcie had decided that she needed to be a lot more strict with her students, she could tell that The Doctor was getting a little bit annoyed with her because she was beign a little too lenient, so she decided that anyone that was late to her lessons would just have to loose points from their house.

Biting her lip she tapped her nails on the desk and she waited for the students to arrive in her lesson, hopefully they would all be on time, they were wonderful students so she knew that they would be on time.

Turning around she wrote the lesson points on the board and she ran her hands through her hair after she had finished with a happy little nod, satisfied with what she would be teaching today;

'Pentagrams'

Ivan walked into the Dark Arts classroom. With a huge smile on his face, a beaming Markuz walked up to his professor.

"Hi professor Darcie, how are you today?"

Walking back to sit down on the second row from the front, Markuz pulled out all his needed materials. He would enjoy this.

Pandora walked through the castle and descended the staircase until she reached the Dungeon floor, where her Dark Arts classroom was located. She pulled out her wand and placed the tip against the wall, dragging it along and burning her path into the stone. She looked back at the burn mark and pocketed her wand once more, done with her strange little burst of insanity.

She stepped inside the classroom and ignored both inside, taking her seat and waiting with impatience for class to begin. Pentagrams. Looked interesting, she decided after careful deliberation.

Darcie smiled happily when she saw that she had some lovely students in her class today, some of them she had not seen before but she was very glad to have them anyway, it was always a good thing to have more students in their classes and she was very flattered that they would have chosen to take her class.

"Hello class!" she said cheerfully "It's so nice to see you all again, I hope that you had a nice break, but today we're getting back to lessons and I am wondering if any of you know anything about pentagrams?" she asked.

Turning to the board she drew an example of one in chalk and smiled gently; "If you've ever seen it on an object, or if you know of anything that it's used for."

Markuz thought hard. What did he know about Pentagrams?

Raising his hand tentatively, he waited until the professor called on him.

"Pentagrams are five-pointed stars, traditionally used in rituals or summonings, they have been in existence ever since the year...uhm, four thousand B.C.? Also, if the pentagram is pointing upwards, it's positive as it means heaven, when pointing downwards it's negative as it points to hell. The pentagram also stands for the balance between the five elements."

Blushing, Ivan realized he had rattled all of that of without even being sure if any of it was correct. Lowering his hand, he ducked his head.

Darcie smiled happily and she nodded her head, indeed it was good that Ivan knew so much about pentagrams and didn't automatically think that they were negative things just like so many people think that they are, actually they could be very positive things.

"Well done Ivan! 10 points to Geschick, pentagrams are often thought of as purely dark symbols, however they are far from it, they are very protective symbols that can be used to ward people from evil demons and spirits."

Writing this up on the board, along with Ivan's answers, Darcie grinned;

"So, if you will all write these notes down, and when you're finished you may leave, class dismissed."
