Lesson Four - Fourth Years Empty Lesson Four - Fourth Years

Cobalt yawned a little bit but was far from bored considering what fun he'd had last night. He couldn't help but smile whenever he thought about his meeting with Kysenia. But that was last night, today he was a teacher again.

Lesson Four - Fourth Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Fourth Years

Post by Humphrey Williams Wed Jul 25, 2012 12:08 am

Humphrey always tried to be five minutes early to class, so he would have time to get out his parchment, ink, and quill before class started. It was a habit he had picked up from years of basketball, coach always said five minutes early was on time and on time was late. He found that it helped him be punctual for everything in life, and that was a good habit to be in.

Taking a seat at the front of class, he got out his things as usual. Then he heard Professor Smith yawn. It caught him off guard, that man never appeared tired. At least he'd never seen him that way. Even more surprising was that there wasn't the subject of the lesson written on the board. "Hello Professor Smith." Humphrey said quietly. He decided he might as well ask him the question on his mind, even though it was none of his business. "Late night? You finally meet a lady friend?" After a second, he decided to do damage control, he didn't want another hand through his chest grabbing his heart. "Sorry, you don't have to answer that, it's none of my business really." he admitted sheepishly.

Lesson Four - Fourth Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Fourth Years

Post by Airen Auditoren Wed Jul 25, 2012 2:23 am

Airen entered the classroom after waking up early last night due to a nightmare about that one important night in his life. He had grown accustomed to having the nightmares, but it still bothered him.

Pushing aside the thoughts, he made his way to his seat. He gave a nod to Humphrey as he sat down in the front of the classroom. This class was by far his favorite, even if only for the fact that he had a somewhat deeper relation with the professor.

"Good morning, Profesore (Professor)" he said, smiling a little to himself that his Italian heritage had slipped out. It was an essential part of him, and he at least wanted to keep the accent.

Lesson Four - Fourth Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Fourth Years

Post by Charlotte Smith Wed Jul 25, 2012 4:07 am

Charlotte walked into the classroom and she sat down in her normal seat next to Airen, she was a little bit surprised to see that they were the only people in the lesson, but she wondered what they were going to be learning today and she allowed her thoughts to wander from the emptiness of the class.

Sighing gently she got all of her materials out, having been a little bit sad last night, the mood had seemed to continue into today, and hopefully she would manage to break it later.

Cobalt ignored Humphrey's probing into his personal life, the boy would get the message when he chose not to respond he was sure. He coughed a little bit and picked up his wand,

"Today I'm going to teach you how to make your own little scouts to report information back to you." he told them simply, "And the best part? No one will suspect them."

Reaching in a cat basket, Cobalt took out a small kitten. He nuzzled the kitten and it purred before mewing cutely. He set it down on the table,

"Morsroth." he whispered and the kitten glowed a little bit before mewing happily again. He whispered the message "Cats are fluffy." to the small kitten before setting it down on Airen's desk where the cat looked at Airen before repeating the message, "See? They listen and repeat to you. Try it out. The kitten belongs to a first year by the way, it's named Buster, so be nice and play gentle alright?"

Lesson Four - Fourth Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Fourth Years

Post by Charlotte Smith Thu Jul 26, 2012 11:44 pm

Charlotte couldn't help but 'Awwwww' when she saw the kitten and she quickly wanted to be the first one to pick it up and start trying to cast the spell on it, managing to snag the cat first, Charlotte placed it on her desk and stroked it behind the ears for a moment before picking up her wand.

Concentrating to make sure that she cast the spell right, Charlotte closed her eyes and she whispered the incantation;

"Morsroth!"

Opening them she wondered if the spell would have worked and seeing the kitten glow she grinned and knew that it had done, she then whispered the cat the message;

'Infiltration rocks.'

Before sending it on the way to the next person.

Post by Anette White Fri Jul 27, 2012 12:02 am

Anette did not like cats. She liked rats and goldfishes, so that little cute kitten did not impress her.

She repeated the spell in her mind. That was all she could do.

She understood almost nothing in Cobalt's speach,,but she carefully watched Charlotte.

'I think I know how it works' - she thought.

Airen smiled at the kitten he remembered the one he had managed to transfigure. He gently scooped up the little kitten and listened to the message.

"Cats are fluffy," he heard the kitten say. In Airen's head, he agreed.

He grinned and watched as Charlotte made her message and sent it on its way. He waited patiently for the little kitten to make its way to him. He stroked the little thing as it repeated the message. He smiled at Charlotte before taking his turn.

"Morsroth," he said and the little kitten glowed for a bit. Airen whispered, "Hogwarts is the best." He stroked the kitten one more time as it made its way to the next person.

Anette took the kitten.

The kitten was really cute and looked at her... friendly.

- Hello, little friend... - she whispered, - please help me.

She squeezed her wand.

- Please... Tell me the message.

"Hogwarts is the best" - she heard.

Anette exhaled and promised to herself to be more careful. She did not even know, if she was responsable for hearing the massage.

She raised her wand and repeated the spell

- Morsroth....

After it she whispered her phrase 'Roses are red'.

Lesson Four - Fourth Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Fourth Years

Post by Humphrey Williams Fri Jul 27, 2012 4:53 am

Humphrey had watched them all do it while he was thinking of what message he wanted to do. There was a fourth year Slytherin who had never seen around before, he decided he could use this spell to say hell. Now it was his turn to attempt the spell.

"Morsroth!" he said, loudly and clearly. The cat walked over to Anette and spoke, "Hello, Nice to meet you. I"m Humphrey Williams." He gave a little wave to let her know that he sent the message. It worked exactly as it should, and he was a bit proud that it had only taken one attempt to get it right.

Anette looked surprised.

Cute kitten could not even imagine, how important it was now.

Anette smiled at Humphrey. She was affraid of using kitten again, that is why she just waved her hand instead of sending a message.

Lesson Four - Fourth Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Fourth Years

Post by Humphrey Williams Sun Jul 29, 2012 11:23 pm

She was clearly shocked that the kitten had come over and actually delivered a message. It made him laugh a bit, he was enjoying this spell. Morsroth would be quite useful, he would make sure to bring a kitten with him next year.

He tried to think of what to have the kitten say next. An idea came to him, maybe they should hang out in the common room. Today was one of his few free days, and he had never talked to her before despite them both being fourth years. "Morsroth." he said again. Humphrey made sure to direct the spell at the kitten, and when he saw it start to speak he knew he'd worked the charm again.

"Do you want to hang out in the student common area after classes? For some reason we've never really talked before, despite being in the same grade. Kind of silly in my opinion. What do you say?" The kitten really was cute, and it made sense because it would avoid suspicion in war time.

Anette smiled and winked.

She liked the idea.

"Well... I think I can use our little friend for the very last time", - she decided at her thoughts.

- Morsroth, - she whisperd squeezing her wand, - now go little cat.

The kitten came back to Humphrey. It was confident and calm. Looking at Humphrey with its huge eyes it said:

- I will be glad to meet with you after lessons. By the way my name is Anette.

The girl winked at him, and it definitely caught him off guard. For some reason the blond Slytherin kept smiling at him. It was nice, but a bit different for him. Humphrey just decided to smile back, that was the friendly thing to do.

Eventually, the cat came back, and delivered the message. "Anette." he whispered to himself. "Unique name, I like it." Humphrey waved and gave her a thumbs up to let her know it was a go.

After that small episode Anette did not look at Humphrey and tried to listen to the professor, but at the end of the lesson she glanced at the boy again.

She could not but noticed that he was rather handsome and also intelligent. A rare combination.
