Background Information:

Hannibal comes from a very dark background with a family life that was simply awful, with almost no redeeming features to it what so ever. Both of his parents were abusive to him and his sister Charlotte. Charlotte was the one thing in his childhood that wasn't a negative, something that wasn't hurting him. He grew attached to Charlotte, wanting to keep her safe. Unfortunately he was largely unable to do this as their father kicked him out of the house after beating him in a duel for Charlotte after he first left school, kicking him out of the house.

Since then Hannibal worked hard to break into the muggle business world to provide himself with money, something that he enjoys having as it brings power. His 'taint' from living with such a dark family is that he wants power in everything, money, life and even relationships. And he's rarely satisfied with anything other than total power. He also spends his time watching over Charlotte in his vulture animagus form.
