Lesson Four - Fifth Years Empty Lesson Four - Fifth Years

Post by Briony Romain Sun Sep 23, 2012 12:53 am

Briony sighed a little bit as she sat behind her desk, a scowl fixed in place. She had been having trouble trying to continue her 'special project' when Richard was breathing down her neck about the whole thing. Making her doubt herself in many ways and that was the key issue.

She would just have to pull herself together and strengthened her conviction to the path she was one. Namely by doing whatever she wanted when she wanted regardless of Richard. Perhaps being mean to her students if they got things wrong maybe?

Lesson Four - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Fifth Years

Post by Haley Vilde Smith Sun Sep 23, 2012 10:17 am

Haley walked into the classroom with a small smile on her face. She was finally falling into routine again. She had missed out on so many classes due to the fact that she'd lost so many she loved. But she was coming back strong. She nodded at the professor, but quickly recognized a rather unkind or stressful aura around the headmistress. Haley didn't say anything about that, given the fact that she would need her life to avenge her friends. She decided on simply sitting down in the front, keeping her mouth shut.

Lesson Four - Fifth Years Empty Re: Lesson Four - Fifth Years

Post by Humphrey Williams Sun Sep 23, 2012 11:19 am

Humphrey walked into class with a smile on his face. His Valentine's Day had been a lot of fun. He was ready to get back to school though. When he wasn't in class he missed learning the new spells that the teachers taught them. Studying for class and learning had something he saw as a priviledge as opposed to a requirement. Taking his usual seat, he prepared for class, waving to Haley as he did so.

For the second week in a row, the Headmistress seemed to be in a bad mood. Clearly something was bothering her, though he didn't know what. He hoped Professor Romain would be able to help her. She was a friend as well as a professor, and he was concerned for her.

"Hello Professor, it's good to be back in class." he said honestly. Duelling was usually one of his favorite classes, but not when the Headmistress was upset.

Briony raised her eyes from staring at the book open on the table when she heard a student come in and speak to her, like many of her classes this one had minimal people in it, in fact, most of her classes only had one person in, which almost seemed to be the case here as well.

Sighing she closed the book and looked at the class in front of her, the boy Humphrey seemed to be looking at her with what seemed like concern and she felt her brow furrow lightly, was her mood this drastically different to normal?

"Today we will be learning about the spell 'locomotor mortis' can anybody tell me what this spell does, extra points if you can detail to me the wand movements to perform the spell." she sighed, in an almost bored tone, her worries weighing on her mind somewhat.

Surprisingly, only Haley and himself were the only people in class. He could understand why that would frustrate a teacher. Usually Charlotte or Airen showed up as well. "Are you alright, professor?" Humphrey asked her quietly. What happened to his cheerful teacher?

"The spell 'locomotor mortis' is also known as the leg-locker curse. Like its name indicates, it locks the victims legs together so they are unable to walk. As far as wand movements go it is a simple swish and flick." Humphrey answered promptly. Almost always he made sure to study for class ahead of time so he could earn points.
