A chance meeting (Milfred and Sofia)

[MilfredJames]

It was a hot day so Milfred brought a vanilla ice cream cone. But when he turned around he bumped into a woman and dropped it onto her shirt."Oops! Sorry about that."

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia was trying to spend a little time walking around Diagon Alley since it had been awhile since she was there. Sofia decided that she would go for a cup of ice cream.

Walking up to the counter she was about to order when a guy turned around and ran his ice cream into her. A few years ago she would have ripped their head off for doing it, but she had changed a little about things.

"Thats ok, good thing I am a witch." Sofia took her wand cleaning it.

"Hi I am Sofia, can I get you another scoop?"

"I'm Milfred.Sure another scoop would be great at least I still have the cone."It seemed strange that she was offering to buy him another scoop instead of getting mad but he wasn't going to complain.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia smiled at the gentleman and then turned back to the counter and ordered herself a couple of scoops of chocolate and then ordered Milfred another vanilla cone.

"Would you care to join me?" Sofia asked.

She was not sure why she wanted him to join her she has been trying to remain alone, but she had a good feeling about this.

"Sure."She seemed nice and he wouldn't mind the company.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia smiled when Milfred said yes so she found a table for them to sit at. The best way to get to know someone is to ask questions so she thought she would start.

"So Milfred what do you do for a living?"

[MilfredJames]

"I'm Head of Physical Maladies at St. Mungo's.What do you do for a living?"He had the feeling that Sofia might be an interesting person.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia smiled and then took a bite of her ice cream as she thought about her answer.

"Well I am a Professor at Hogwarts teaching Astronomy.". She smiled, "But I can also teach Divination."

[MilfredJames]

"My sister Lessi teaches flying there do you know her?"He licked his ice cream while waiting for her answer.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia took another bite of her ice cream, "Well I have been gone for a couple of years and I haven't got to meet all the staff yet this year."

Sofia sighed as she thought about it, Hogwarts was like her home and she left for two years and so much had changed.

"I will have to place her on my to meet list." Sofia said with a smile

"So what sort of things do you enjoy?"

Milfred smiled when Sofia said that she'd put Lessi on her to meet list he hoped that they get along.
"Art,reading,music.What do you enjoy?"

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia smiled at Milfred as she finished up her ice cream, "Well I love to read and I also enjoy music."

Sofia looked up at him and wondered if he liked walks, "I also enjoy very much talking walks around my lake at home. In fact it is a nightly thing I do."

[MilfredJames]

"That's good.I should probably exercise more."Noticing that his ice cream was melting he quickly ate more of it."I like walking just not in hot weather."He then focused his attention on his melting ice cream.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia sighed as she thought about things, "I guess I never thought about the walks as exercise I do it to relax."

Sofia caught herself sucking on the spoon. "Well I prefer to walk in the evening when its cooler and around my estate the lake is always cool."

[MilfredJames]

Milfred wondered if she was one of those snobby purebloods when she said estate but he decided not to ask.
"That sounds nice.Do you usually walk with someone or by yourself?"

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia smiled a little when he asked abou her walks, "Well for the most part I walk by myself. I don't have someone that can walk with me everyday.". Sofia sighed

"I do have a couple of friends that show up once in awhile."

[MilfredJames]

"I don't have many friends either,"he said thinking of Lessi and Esmerelda. He doubted that Lessi counted as a friend because she was his sister.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia smiled when he said that he didn't have many friends. Him not having many friends maybe not many would know about her, but then she never did tell him her last name either.

"So Milfred would you care to walk with me one evening?"

[MilfredJames]

He was surprised to see her smile after he said that he didn't have many friends but more surprised at her inviting him over they had only just met after all,really coming over could be a terrible idea but he got the feeling that it wasn't.Lessi would have said that he was developing woman's intuition. "Sure,where do you live anyway?"

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia had a feeling that she might have been a little forward about him coming over to her place for a walk, though she never really mentioned when they could go for a walk or where.

"My place is simple to find, just think of Slytherin Manor and you should arrive." Sofia smiled, and then wondered if the mention of the name would scare him away.

"But we don't have to walk at my place, a person can walk just about anywhere."

[MilfredJames]

He was surprised to hear Slytherin Manor,but he didn't think that everyone related to Slytherin was evil and she seemed pretty nice."OK,where do you want to walk?"

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia sat back in the chair crossing one leg over the other and placing her hands on her lap.

"Well there is always the park that is not far from the Leaky Cauldron in London."

[MilfredJames]

Milfred nodded."That sounds nice."Then he quickly finished his ice cream as most of it was melted anyway.

[Sofia Slytherin]

Sofia smiled at Milfred, "I have a few things I need to get in London anyway. You are more than welcome to join me now, or you can owl me."

Sofia said as she stood up and vanished her trash.

"I'll go with you."So he stood up.
