Raven did not know why but she thought that it was going to be an unsual day today, the potion that she had been brewing was nearing it's time of completion and she did hope that nothing would interrupt her from it, she had been waiting a very long time.

Grinning Raven added the bits of dried skin that she had peeled a few days before and watched as the potion turned a very dark purple and she sighed happily, ten minutes and it would be done.

Raven reclined on her chair, feet on her desk and started humming one of her favourite songs from her favourite muggle movie.

Zarna LeGuinn stepped into the hallway of the first floor and quickly located the office she had been directed to. Having no idea whether her subject had been informed of the interview, the woman had taken a few protective measures. If her colleagues at the Times had done nothing else helpful in getting this story, they had warned her not to meet the Sweeney unprepared. Lucky for them, Zarna was always prepared.

Her research on Sweeney had dug up more than a few interesting facts and it had taken a lot of convincing and cajoling on her part to get the approval to run the piece. But when the witch had been told no reporter would be crazy enough to risk their life for a story, she had confidentially stepped up. People who played it safe never made it big. Zarna did.

Knocking on the door smartly, she waited to see what all the fuss was about.

There it was.
The knock.

Raven growled loudly and slammed her fist into the wall, her fist cushioned by the force that her resurrection ring held in her finger, she couldn't believe that she was being interrupted right when she needed to concentrate.

Standing up violently her chair slammed onto the floor and she stormed over to the door, the skin around her eyes darkening as she neared the door.

"What do you want?!" she growled, her lip lifted ferally as she opened the door "You don't even work her what could you possibly WANT?! IM BUSY." she growled

Raven left the door open as she stormed back into her office, tapping her cauldron to pause the potion in it's creation: "Make this quick." she said with a look of distain on her face as she flicked the blade of her razor out and then in again.

Zarna took a moment to study the spectacle before her, gazing coolly at the room beyond the door and the potion mistress who was unmistakeably her subject. So this was what the fuss had been about. Frankly, Zarna had seen worse. But the Sweeney didn’t need to know that.

“So you’re the wicked witch of Durmstrang,” she asked with mild curiosity, entering the office and making a point to only glance at the razor in the other female’s hand casually - once.

“LeGuinn from The German Times. And by this lovely reception, I take it the Highmaster didn’t see fit to inform you I would be dropping by?” She raised her brown eyes to meet the teacher’s gaze. “A pleasure, your reputation precedes you, Miss Drake.”

Raven looked at the woman. She immediately knew that she was going to be a lot of trouble and she would probably end up carving into her by the end of the day, or hour, or minute she was still standing in her office with that look on her face.

"You will do well. Woman. To get that look off your face before I skin it off. You don't like it in here then leave. You have business with me? Get it over with."

Slamming the blade of the razor into her desk Raven sat back and surveyed the woman, her skin still black around the eyes. Just who did this woman think she was? A reporter was she? Sent from some paper to get the scoop on the psycho?

Well shed get what she came for. A psycho.

"That man and I do not correspond."

Raven stood up and leant close to the woman fury evident on her face, pointing closely to her wall and at the tongues nailed there she growled:

"I did not give you permission to call me that. I am The Sweeney. You will call ms as thus or you can turn around on your little reporter heels and scurry on back to your paper I don't even read."

Zarna resisted the urge to smirk. Everyone had said Sweeney was deadly, they had failed to mention her petulance. “I apologize for using your given name. How could I make such a grievous error in judgement?”

Crossing the office in a few short strides, Zarna took a seat uninvited on a chair and proceeded to pull out her quill and notepad. They were all props anyway but ones that were necessary as some people would be uncomfortable knowing every word they said was being recorded by the small amplifier currently posing as a silver bracelet on her wrist.

“Very well, I’ll not take too much of your time. While I realize you... don’t... read our paper,” the witch resisted a second urge to smirk here, “The Highmaster does and he gave The Times exclusive permission to interview you. You’re famous, you know...” the reporter trailed off, making sure to keep her voice impassive.

Raven watched the woman unblinkingly, she didn't seem to be too bothered by her, this was unusual but not unwelcome, she just hoped that she would stop being so high and mighty so that they might go on various killing spree's together some time in the future. Or maybe they could polish her friends together.

Who knows?

"I don't know. If you were a proper reporter you'd have known that I don't go by that name. Unless you were trying to bait me. Which is not smart. You're lucky I'm so composed today or your guts would be on that wall."

Stroking her ring Raven flicked her eyes to the wall on the opposite side of the class. Taking comfort from the cool feel of the spirits within the ring, and knowing that she was going to be out of her hair soon.

"I don't care whether I'm famous or not. All I care about is doing what I please. Which is not being in this interview. Ask your questions then go."

If I was a proper reporter, I’d be back at the office, hiding under my desk like all the other losers who cower at the mention of your name, Zarna thought to herself but decided not to share it. Baiting Sweeney, while amusing, was not what she was here for. Moving her wrist over the pad, she heard the bracelet clink softly and raised her quill.

“Well Ms. Sweeney, our research department dug up a fair bit on you – they felt it was the least they could do to compensate for the fact that not one would agree to come here in person. So what I really need from you is some insight.” The reporter looked up at the teacher, her eyes boring into the younger woman.

“Why teaching? You can’t claim to like the children.” The witch made sure to look pointedly at all the tongues nailed to the wall. “Or people in general.”

Raven smirked, the way that the woman was looking into her pale purple eyes was almost as if she was trying to intimidate her, to make her see just what a kind of person she was and that she wouldn't be taking any nonsense off her.

Well Raven just plain didn't care.

Ears pricking up when she thought she heard a clock, Raven noted that it was only something the woman was doing, which made her relax, yet nobody would notice the change in her posture as she relaxed.

"No. I do not like people. I have been asked to teach. I have nothing better to do. As you can see I've had a chance to add to my collection of body parts because of it, and I have many new test subjects for my potions."

Zarna pretended to write down the words the younger woman was saying, all the while making nonsensical patterns on her notepad. Really, this is what everyone had been afraid of? Oh well, looks like she had lucked out. Not only would she be getting the juiciest story of the issue but also a bonus. Not to mention acclaims besides for braving an interview with the resident psycho.

“Wonderful,” she smiled, lifting her quill from the pad. “Now how about you give us something for the fans? What do you like to do in your free time? Any hobbies? Any messages you’d like to give to aspiring young... Sweenies?”

Raven looked at the woman, she had decided that she did not like her. SHe wasn't afraid of her. Which had been good. But now she thought that she might be seriously underestimating her, and eventually that would be her downfall.

One day when she was least expecting it she would see The Sweeney again and would regret her attitude.

"What I do in my spare time is none of your, or any of your readers business, I thought this interview would be fun. Maybe you're just no good. I'd like to speak to someone else."

Walking over to the wall Raven picked up a limb that she had discarded at the base and sighed, picking up a bottle of potion, she uncorked it, sipped it, and then smiled, that had not been a potion...what it was she wasn't sure.

"Are you always like this?"

The reporter didn’t think it would be wise to tell this woman that while she might wish to speak to someone else, they certainly didn’t want to speak to her. Hadn’t a colleague called Zarna “suicidal” when the paperwork for her trip to Durmstrang had been approved by the appropriate channels? However, the reporter had no such tendencies and realizing she had far outstayed her welcome; the witch shut her notepad and stood up. She answered the Sweeney’s question carefully.

“No, not really. You’re just special I suppose.”

Making her way to the door the reporter continued. “Thank you for your time, the article should be out in a few days. Feel free to write me and let me know how you like it.” Just as she stepped out the door, Zarna looked back at the potions teacher and said “And I’ll respect your privacy by keeping your numerous... romantic affiliations out of the paper. Never let it be said journalism and ethics don’t go hand in hand.”

She exited the room, perhaps just in the nick of time.
